When we experience stress, anxiety, or physical pain, we tend to tense up. This is to protect the body, and it's a natural response. What is not as automatic in our brain is to release that tension. In this practice, we travel through different muscle groups to form tension, and then experience the release of that tension. When we practice intentionally letting go of tension, we strengthen the system in the brain that relaxes the body. I hope you enjoy! Let me know what you think.
