Waking up this morning,

Aware of what's going on in body,

In mind,

In our hearts.

This is a new day.

We have already chosen to start this day with mindfulness.

Set in a good intention for this day.

That we may find things to be grateful for.

That we may open our eyes to the simple joys around us in each moment.

The songs of the birds.

The sounds of nature.

A simple plant or flower.

Maybe meet each person this day with compassion.

Knowing that they too have their struggles.

Hardships that we know nothing about.

Taking easy the rough edges we meet in others.

Forgiving them as we would like to be forgiven.

May we have the courage today to live the life we'd really love.

To live the life as we really would love to live it.

And waste our hearts on fear no more.
