Welcome to a gentle release,

Inviting ease with the magic wand.

Let's take a moment to settle in.

You may like to find a comfortable position where you feel supported,

Whether that's seated or lying down.

If it feels okay,

You can gently close your eyes or soften your gaze.

Now bring your attention to your breath,

Letting it move naturally.

No need to change anything,

Just noticing.

And then feel the ground beneath you holding you.

Maybe your feet are resting on the floor or your back is supported by a chair or cushion or by the bed.

Let yourself be aware of this support.

With each exhale,

Perhaps you can allow yourself to settle just a little more.

Now take a slow breath in through your nose and a long,

Soft,

Full exhale through your mouth,

If you like.

And feel free to repeat this once again.

Inhaling soft and easy through your nose and exhaling full,

Deep breath out through your mouth.

Letting go of tension,

Especially tension that you are aware of.

See if you can let go of that,

Even just a little.

And now let's bring some ease into the body part by part.

You may like to imagine a warm,

Gentle light traveling through you,

Starting at the top of your head and slowly moving down over your face,

Your jaw,

Your shoulders.

Feel these parts softening and winding,

Even if it's barely detectable.

Let the warmth flow down through your chest,

Your arms,

Your hands.

Down your spine,

Releasing what's been held there.

Moving into your legs,

Your feet and settling into the earth.

Your breath may feel steady and natural.

And with every inhale,

You may invite a little more ease into your breath.

And with every exhale,

You may let go of what you don't need in this moment.

Now imagine that beside you,

Resting lightly in your hands is a magic wand.

A wand that can create exactly what you need.

It may be ease,

Freedom,

Lightness,

Playfulness or whatever it is for you specifically.

Gently bring this wand towards your body,

Just as if you were tracing it in the air.

Feeling its warmth,

Its soothing energy.

Starting at the top of your head,

Allowing it to bring softness there.

And then moving slowly down to your face,

Your jaw,

Letting it loosen any tightness.

With a gentle movement,

Guide the wand down your throat.

As it touches this space,

Imagine it dissolving any tension,

Creating room for ease and flow.

Your throat is soft,

Open and free.

Notice that perhaps the breath is moving a little more easily through you.

Now let the wand trace along your chest and heart,

Offering softness,

Kindness,

Melting away any heaviness.

Notice if your breath feels a bit more spacious here.

Moving downward,

The wand travels along your spine,

Inviting you to relax.

Inviting the vagus nerve to relax,

Sending signals of safety,

Of calm.

Your body knows how to receive this,

How to let go.

And now bring the wand wherever your body needs it most.

Let it soften any last pocket of tension,

As if it's whispering to your muscles.

It's safe to release.

It's safe to soften.

It's safe to let go.

And now I will offer some optional affirmations.

If any of these resonate with you,

Feel free to quietly in your mind,

Repeat them to yourself,

Or maybe use your own language,

Whatever works for you best.

My body knows how to soften,

How to release.

I offer myself patience and kindness.

My breath moves freely and my voice is welcome.

I am safe to relax.

I trust my body's wisdom.

And now take a deep gentle breath in and feel free to sigh it all out.

Feeling the lingering warmth of the wand's touch,

Knowing that this ease,

This relaxation is always here.

And when you're ready,

You may slowly bring awareness back to your surroundings and into your body.

Wiggling your fingers or toes,

Maybe rolling your shoulders.

Taking a moment to feel your whole body from the feet up to the head.

And when it feels right,

Opening your eyes,

Carrying this sense of ease and fullness with you.
