Hi,
My name is Estee.
Welcome to today's meditation on letting go.
Begin by settling into a comfortable position,
Letting your body relax.
Close your eyes gently if that feels good to you.
And take a long,
Slow breath in,
Filling your lungs completely.
And with a gentle sigh,
Let the breath fall away.
Now let your breathing find its natural rhythm,
With each breath a little softer,
A little slower.
Noticing how with every exhale you're releasing just a bit more tension.
Breathing at your own pace,
Inhaling deeply in through your nose.
And slowly exhaling out through your mouth.
In through your nose.
And out through your mouth.
Imagine a soft,
Warm light beginning to expand around you.
With each breath,
Feel it filling the space around you.
A peaceful,
Gentle light that supports you,
That holds you in a place of ease.
This light reminds you that it's safe to let go.
That you don't need to hold onto anything now.
There's nowhere to be.
There's nothing to do.
It's just you and your breath in this moment.
Continuing to take slow,
Deep breaths.
Perhaps lengthening the breath a bit more.
Breathing in more deeply,
Completely filling your chest and belly.
Now bring to mind anything you've been carrying,
Maybe thoughts,
Feelings,
Or worries that weigh on you right now.
Picture them gently gathering together in front of you,
As if forming into a small bubble.
Imagine this bubble holding everything you're ready to release.
This bubble begin to lift and rise,
Slowly floating upwards.
Becoming lighter with each moment.
As if the weight is dissolving,
Drifting away.
You're letting it go.
Notice how light you feel now.
There's space within you for ease,
For peace.
This is a place you can return to anytime.
There's a softness here,
A feeling of freedom.
Begin to bring awareness back to your breath.
Noticing the rise and fall of your chest.
Slowly bring your attention to the room around you,
The surface beneath you,
The sounds.
When you're ready,
Take a final deep breath and gently open your eyes.
As you continue throughout your day,
Keeping this image in mind.
To help you in continuing to let go,
Slowly a bit more each time.
