Welcome,
Sweet soul,
To this guided meditation for inner child healing.
I am so passionate about the topic of the inner child because I've learned just how incredibly powerful it is.
Our childhood years are what have shaped who we are today,
Including mindset,
Outlook on life,
And literally our entire reality.
Getting to know our inner child is an essential step to truly heal the past and let go of limiting beliefs and pain.
It can change our entire outlook in life and our story moving forward.
And as I continue to do the inner work on this and go deeper in the process,
It is my honor to share this meditation with you to guide you on your journey to getting to know and heal your inner child.
So let's take a moment to get comfortable.
Let your body soften.
Your breath slow down.
Close your eyes if you'd like.
And imagine that you are being wrapped in a soft blanket of safety.
Knowing you are cured for in this moment.
Breathe in deeply and slowly let it go.
Each breath carrying you closer into yourself,
Into a space of tenderness and love.
I want you to bring your awareness to your heart space.
Feel your chest rise and fall with each breath.
And if it feels right,
Place a hand there and let your touch remind you that you are here,
Alive,
Loved.
With each inhale,
Imagine breathing in golden light.
With each exhale,
Releasing any tension or tightness.
This golden light grows warmer,
Softer,
Filling your entire body.
And within that warmth,
Imagine a doorway opening into your inner world.
Through this doorway,
I invite you to see yourself as a child.
Perhaps at 5,
6,
Or 7 years old.
Or whatever age stands out to you at this moment.
Notice where they are.
Maybe it's in a safe space you once loved.
Your bedroom,
A garden,
A playground.
Take a moment to really see them.
What are they wearing?
How do they hold themselves?
Notice the expression on their face.
Now gently walk towards this little one.
You don't need to say anything at first.
Just be there.
Feel the connection as if your heart already knows what they need.
When you're close enough,
Imagine kneeling down so you are eye to eye.
Look into their eyes,
The eyes that are still yours.
The child that lives within you.
Notice if they want to reach for you.
Maybe they want to be hugged,
Held,
Or simply sat beside.
Allow them to guide you.
And with the softest voice in your heart,
Let them know.
I see you.
I hear you.
You are safe with me.
Feel yourself offering love and comfort,
Just like a nurturing parent would.
And as you sit there,
Looking into their eyes,
Feeling their presence.
Notice if there is any specific emotion or sensation coming up.
Is there a belief about yourself or about life that this child lives by?
A story that is holding you back from living life as the fullest version of yourself.
Perhaps this child might feel,
I don't have what it takes.
Or that I will never find someone who truly and fully loves me.
Or I am not capable of creating the life I deserve.
Or perhaps I am shy and insecure.
Or any of the many other insecurities that I might be feeling and believing to be true.
Allow whatever it is to come up without judgment.
Now visualize your current self sitting with your inner child in a way that feels comforting to you.
Perhaps hand on the shoulder,
Face to face,
Hugging,
Or holding hands.
Allow your inner child to know that you are here,
You see them,
And are here to support.
Tell it whatever you wish someone told you back then.
Now imagine a soft glowing light surrounding both of you,
A cocoon of safety.
This light carries unconditional love.
Feel it wrapping around you and your inner child,
Melting away fear,
Loneliness,
Or doubt.
Take a moment to breathe together.
Feel their small hand in yours,
Their heartbeat close to yours.
Whisper gently,
You are worthy of love.
You always have been.
You don't need to be anyone else.
You are enough just as you are.
Stay here for a few moments,
Just breathing and feeling this love.
Let your inner child feel fully embraced,
Fully accepted.
When your inner child is ready,
Let them know you will always be here for them.
Let them know that they can return to your heart anytime they need safety.
Slowly watch them soften,
Smile,
Or rest peacefully,
Knowing that they are loved.
Now gently bring your awareness back to your breath,
To your body here in this moment.
Gently wiggling your fingers and your toes.
Taking in a deep inhale in through the nose and slowly sighing it out.
And as you open your eyes,
Carry this love with you.
A reminder that the child within you is never alone.
They are forever held in your heart.
