Welcome to this guided meditation which was designed to help you find ease and inner peace amidst the busyness of the holiday season.

Taking the time to slow down,

Pause,

And reconnect with yourself can go a really long way in resetting and realigning during this busy time of year.

Let's begin by finding a comfortable position either seated or lying down.

Close your eyes and take a deep breath in through your nose,

Slow and deep,

Allowing the breath to fully fill you and then slowly exhaling through your mouth.

Again,

Breathing in slow and deep in through the nose and try holding the breath for a couple of seconds before exhaling slowly,

Releasing any tension that you might be holding in your body.

With each breath,

Allow yourself to sink deeper into relaxation and deeper into the present moment,

Letting go of all thoughts and just being here present with yourself right now.

As you continue to breathe at your own pace,

Bring your attention to your body,

Noticing the points where your body connects with the surface beneath you,

Feeling the surface against your body,

Feel the support holding you,

And imagine roots extending from your body into the earth,

Grounding you and providing stability,

Really holding you into this moment.

As you continue to breathe,

Begin to scan your body from head to toe,

Noticing any areas of tension or tightness,

Both physical or emotional,

Without judgment,

Just simply bringing your awareness to these places within your body.

With your next inhale,

Imagine breathing in a sense of ease and calm,

Letting it flow to these areas of tension,

Softening the tightness more into the surface.

And as you exhale,

Picture the stress and overwhelm leaving your body like clouds drifting away in the wind.

Repeating this again on your next inhale,

Just simply noticing and allowing the breath to move tension through and out of your body.

If your mind feels busy with thoughts or your to-do lists,

Know that it's okay and imagine placing those thoughts into a soft floating cloud.

And watching them drift away.

For now,

There is nothing you need to do.

It's just this moment of stillness for yourself.

Now picture yourself in a peaceful,

Serene setting.

It might be a cozy room with soft,

Warm light,

Or perhaps a quite snowy landscape where the air feels crisp and fresh.

Whatever comes to mind,

Let this place be your sanctuary,

A place where you feel completely at ease.

And as you settle into this scene,

Feel the stress melting away.

Imagine a soft,

Golden light surrounding you,

Filling you with warmth and peace.

This light reminds you that amidst the holiday hustle,

You carry calm and clarity within you.

And despite what's going on on the outside,

The peace within is always there,

Ready and available for you to tap into.

Take a few more deep breaths,

Inhaling a sense of peace,

And exhaling any lingering stress or tension.

Place your hands over your heart and take a moment to thank yourself for taking this time to nurture your well-being.

Remember that you can return to this place of calm whenever you need.

And when you're ready,

Gently open your eyes and bring yourself back to your current present environment.

And I hope you can take this feeling of ease and peace with you into your day and into your holiday season.
