Welcome to today's meditation.

In this meditation,

We'll explore how to gently transform feelings of overwhelm,

Feelings of being drained into a sense of expansion and openness.

Overwhelm can feel heavy,

Like there's no space to breathe or to be.

Like our energy is constantly being drained.

But within us lies the ability to create expansion.

Allowing the feelings of being drained to make space for more.

To make space for what we truly want in our life.

To change this energy from depletion to a sense of fullness.

Together,

We'll create space for calm,

Clarity and the energy to move forward with ease.

Let's begin by settling into this moment.

Allowing yourself to be fully present.

Take a moment to find a comfortable position.

Allowing yourself to be fully supported by the surface beneath you.

Close your eyes if you feel comfortable.

And take a slow,

Deep breath in.

In through your nose.

And then gently release it.

With each exhale,

Allow yourself to let go of any tension in your body.

Let your shoulders drop.

Your jaw relax.

And your hands rest softly in your lap or at your sides.

Begin to notice the natural rhythm of your breath.

Steady and calming.

In this moment,

There is nothing you need to do and nowhere you need to be.

This time is just for you.

As you continue breathing,

I'll invite you to just continue lengthening your breath.

Deepening your breath.

Allowing it to fill your body completely.

Perhaps trying to hold a breath at the top before slowly exhaling.

As you continue breathing,

Slow and at your own pace.

Gently bring your awareness to any feelings of overwhelm or fatigue that might be present.

You don't need to resist these feelings or push them away.

Instead,

Allow them to be here just as they are.

Notice where in your body you might be holding these emotions.

Perhaps there's tightness in your chest.

A weight in your shoulders.

Or a sense of heaviness in your mind.

Just by the thought of all that you need to do.

Simply observe these sensations without judgment.

As though you're a kind and curious friend to yourself.

And as you observe these feelings,

Try to picture them as a color or shape within your body.

Just noticing where it's located in your body.

Allow yourself to truly feel this feeling of overwhelm.

Without being afraid of the meaning that you have previously put to this feeling and sensation.

Allow it to take up space in your body.

And now imagine that with every breath you take,

You're creating more space within yourself.

Picture your breath as a gentle wave flowing into the areas where you feel tension or heaviness.

Picture these feelings of being drained.

And just see the drainage as the energy leaving your body.

Making space for more.

Making space to invite in what you want more of.

So instead of the draining feeling heavy,

Just start to perhaps see if you can change the feeling.

To a feeling of more expansion.

And perhaps a feeling of lightness.

As you inhale,

Feel the wave expanding,

Softening,

And loosening these tight places.

With each exhale,

Imagine releasing what no longer serves you.

Letting go of stress,

Worry,

Or anything weighing you down.

With each breath,

You are creating more room for peace,

Calm,

And clarity.

Feel the space expanding within you,

As though your body and mind are opening up to fresh,

Renewing energy.

Now bring to mind a feeling of lightness,

Of energy that uplifts and replenishes you.

Imagine this energy as a soft,

Glowing light that begins to fill the space you've created within.

See this light radiating warmth and renewal,

Flowing to every corner of your being.

With each inhale,

It grows brighter,

Energizing you from the inside out.

With each exhale,

You release anything that feels draining or heavy.

Feel yourself expanding into this light,

Becoming more open,

Calm,

And centered.

There is no rush.

Simply allow yourself to be carried by this flow of energy,

Renewal,

Expansion.

Now take a moment to notice how you feel.

Perhaps a little lighter,

A little more spacious,

And at ease.

Know that this sense of expansion and renewal is always within you,

Ready to be tapped into whenever you need.

The feelings of overwhelm can always be transformed into something different,

Into something that we feel might be more aligned for us.

When you're ready,

Gently bring your awareness back to the present moment.

Notice the sensations in your body,

The support beneath you,

The sounds around you.

Take a final deep breath in,

And as you exhale,

Carry this feeling of calm and renewal within you into the rest of your day.

When you feel ready,

You can open your eyes and allow yourself to settle back into the moment.
