We can learn so much from trees as we walk through a forest or we just notice trees in our everyday life or even as we imagine trees in our mind.
Trees have so much wisdom.
They have been here for generations and generations.
They have weathered storms.
They are used to allowing things fall away from them that no longer serve a purpose.
They allow things to fall away easily like their leaves in the fall,
Twigs,
Branches.
They just release and allow them to fall.
Let us too become like the trees.
Take a long slow deep breath in through your nose and release that breath slowly out of your mouth.
Again another long slow deep breath in through your nose and release that breath out of your mouth.
And bring your awareness to the space between your eyebrows.
Allow this area to soften.
Allow that softness to spread across your forehead,
Down your temples to your eyes,
The corners of your eyes.
Allow that softness to spread behind your eyes.
Allow that softness to spread down your cheekbones to your mouth.
Allow that softness to spread to your chin.
Move up your jaw line to your ears.
And allow that softness to penetrate the outer ear,
Middle ear,
Inner ear.
And let that softness move to the area where your jaw and skull meet,
The temporomandibular joint where we tend to hold on and clench.
Just allow this area to soften and release.
Unclench,
Release,
Soften and release.
Become aware of your natural breath.
Feel how your body gives you life each and every day without you having to ask,
Do you breathe in and out of your nose,
In and out of your mouth,
Or a combination of the two?
Just feel your breath for a few moments.
You too are strong and resilient like the trees.
Your body itself contains a root that roots you to this earth,
That grounds you.
Your sciatic nerve in your leg extends below your foot and can root you to this earth.
Allow the sciatic nerve to continue and grow deep into the earth,
Rooting you to mother earth.
And allow yourself to just release down your legs all the old energy.
Release that energy down your leg and in exchange,
Draw upon the energy of the earth,
Bringing that energy up your leg and up into your heart,
Filling you with unconditional love that this earth has for all of her beings.
Know that you will always be provided for.
Know that all of your basic needs will always be met for you were held by mother earth.
Just allow mother earth to hold you for a few moments.
You have the ability to stand tall like those majestic trees that have been here for generations,
Hundreds of years.
You have the ability to be rooted to this earth,
Knowing that you are here for a purpose,
That you are here to stand strong.
And you may never know the fruits of your labor,
But the ripple effect of you standing strong and resilient definitely has an effect on others.
As you are rooted to this earth and you feel your strength,
Notice and become aware of the storms that you have been able to get through.
You have been so strong and all of those storms have made you the person you are today.
They have proven your strength,
Proven your resiliency,
And you have weathered those storms and those hardships have allowed you to help others.
Just like the trees,
Sometimes we lose a twig or lose a limb or lose our leaves,
Whatever that might be in our life.
People who are no longer aligned with our higher self will fall away and that is okay.
Situations,
Places,
Materialistic things will fall away and that is okay.
When we unclench,
We allow for life to bring us to where we are meant to be.
We allow for life to give us all the abundance that is meant for us.
Release your grasp.
Release and allow what is not meant for you any longer to just be released.
Allow those dead leaves to fall away.
Allow those dead twigs,
Sticks,
And limbs to fall away.
When we release the old and what is no longer meant for us,
We make room for new growth.
Make space.
Save space.
Allow that space for the new growth for what is meant for us.
Take a long,
Slow,
Deep breath in through your nose and release that breath out of your mouth.
We live here on earth in perfect harmony with all living creatures here on earth.
Trees give off oxygen which we in turn breathe in.
We exhale carbon dioxide which the trees in turn breathe in.
There is perfect synchronicity of life here on earth.
We all are meant to live together in our dependence on each other in perfect harmony for what we have to give others are meant to take and what others have to give we are meant to receive.
Breathe deep this perfect love,
This universal love that is given to us each and every day.
This breath of life given to us from this perfect source.
Let us bring to mind the mantra,
I am strong.
I am resilient.
I am strong.
I am resilient.
And let us repeat this mantra silently in our mind and silently in our throat with every inhale or exhale of your breath.
I am strong.
I am resilient.
I am strong.
I am resilient.
I am resilient.
And just allow that mantra to fade quietly in the background of your mind and bring your awareness to a beautiful tree in front of you.
Tall,
Strong,
Magnificent.
And reach your hand out and place your hand on the bark of this tree.
Feel the bark under your fingertips under the palm of your hand.
Allow yourself to look up at this tall tree seeing its beauty.
And allow this tree to look down at you seeing your beauty.
Allow this tree to take any last bit of energy that doesn't serve you away as you touch with your hand onto its bark.
And take a long,
Slow,
Deep breath in through your nose.
Breathing in the energy of that tree,
Feeling that energy being drawn from the earth up that tree's trunk,
In through your hand,
Down your arm and into your heart.
Know that you have access every day to ground yourself in nature.
You have the ability every day to feel Mother Earth's energy hold you and bring you light.
Take a long,
Slow,
Deep breath in through your nose,
Bringing that breath to your heart,
Surrounding your heart with that breath and exhale out of your mouth.
With your eyes still closed,
Allow the effects of the meditation to just sink into your bones.
With your eyes still closed,
Become aware of your surroundings.
Paying attention to the noises you may hear,
The smells where you are in space of a room or outside.
Put a great big smile on your face and when you're ready,
Open your eyes.
You are so strong and so resilient.
You can weather any storm.
