The world is so heavy right now.
It is hard for us to even carry the heaviness and burdens of others who are innocent.
We happen to be lucky enough to be born where we are,
Where it is safe for us at this moment.
But we cannot look away.
We must keep working for peace,
For those who do not have a voice,
For those who are not being heard,
For those who need justice.
One way that we can help bring peace to our planet is through a metta meditation where we can send peace,
Love,
And light to those who need it.
Let's settle in and take some quiet time now to send peace,
Love,
And light to our world.
Let's start by taking a long,
Slow,
Deep breath in through our nose.
And just gently release that breath out of your mouth.
Again,
Another long,
Slow,
Deep breath in through your nose.
And release that breath out of your mouth.
And just become aware of your natural breath.
How is your body breathing for you?
Feel your breath for a few moments.
And notice,
Is your body breathing in and out of your nose,
In and out of your mouth,
Or a combination of the two?
Just feel your body breathe for a few moments.
And let us crawl into our heart,
This place of peace and solace that is available to us at any time of day.
Wrap your heart around you like the blanket of peace that it is.
And sit in your own love.
Sit in your own light.
And sit in your own peace.
Feel that peace,
Love,
And light start to grow within your heart.
Take a deep breath in through your nose,
Bringing that breath to your heart.
Surrounding your heart with that breath.
And exhale out of your mouth.
Feeling that peace,
Love,
And light growing within even more so.
Spreading throughout your body,
Down your limbs,
Into your palms,
And at the bottom of your feet.
Spread your palms wide if you can,
Allowing them to rest by your side,
On your knees or in your lap.
Take another deep breath in through your nose,
Bringing that breath to your heart.
Surrounding your heart with that breath.
And as you exhale,
Allow your peace,
Love,
And light to spread out to fill your entire room or wherever you may be,
The vicinity around you.
Take another deep breath in,
Bringing that breath to your heart.
And as you exhale this time,
Allow your peace,
Love,
And light to fill your entire home and extend out into your neighborhood or your community,
Wherever you might be.
Take another deep breath in through your nose,
Bringing that breath to your heart.
And exhale that breath and peace,
Love,
And light out to your community,
Extending it past to fill your entire state with that peace,
Love,
And light.
Take a deep breath in through your nose,
Bringing that breath to your heart.
And as you exhale that breath and peace,
Love,
And light,
Let it reach from coast to coast of your country,
Filling your country and the place where you reside or the place where you are at this moment with peace,
Love,
And light.
Take another deep breath in through your nose,
Bringing that breath to your heart.
And as you exhale that peace,
Love,
And light,
Just let it wrap around our planet.
Let it wrap around our planet as a blanket of peace,
Of love,
Of light.
Allow it to raise the vibration of our planet to one of peace,
One of love,
And one of light.
Take another deep breath in through your nose,
Bringing that breath to your heart.
And as you exhale,
Send that peace,
Love,
And light to one person or group of people that you feel need that peace,
Love,
And light.
Imagine that wave reaching them,
Touching their heart,
Allowing them to feel that peace,
Love,
And light.
And allow yourself just to breathe normal.
And as you are feeling your breath,
Notice if there is a change in your breathing pattern.
And let us bring to mind the positive affirmation,
I am peace,
I am love,
I am light.
I am peace,
I am love,
I am light.
And with each inhale or exhale of breath,
Repeat those words silently in your mind and in your throat.
I am peace,
I am love,
I am light.
And as thoughts of the future or thoughts of the past creep into your mind,
Let them pass by as if they are clouds and bring yourself back to your positive affirmation.
I am peace,
I am love,
I am light.
And let us take a deep breath in through our nose,
Bringing that breath to our heart,
Surrounding our heart with that breath,
Planting our positive affirmation as a seed of intention deep within our heart.
And exhale out of your mouth.
With your eyes still closed,
Allow the effects of this meditation to sink into your being.
With your eyes still closed,
Place your hand on your heart if you are able and give gratitude for this time.
Remember that you are peace,
Love,
And light to yourself,
To others,
To our world.
