Hello,
Welcome.
There will be a few minutes of introduction about the meditation and then the meditation and visualization will begin.
This meditation asks the question,
What is my next creation?
Helps you answer it and helps you find the next step for bringing that creation in the world.
It's about stimulating your creativity and letting your creativity go and moving the wonderful and exciting aspects that will come up when you focus on your creativity into the world of creation itself or manifesting or intention or whatever you want to call that.
So it goes from creation to manifestation.
The other note for this meditation is that in the background you'll be hearing some sounds,
Some water journey sounds recorded by a friend of mine who is a sound engineer and on top of those sounds he created a sound exercise that actually he believes brings your brain into a place of creativity.
In fact in my work I did an experiment with these sounds that you'll be hearing today and found that after playing them people were significantly more creative on a standard test of creativity.
So this meditation supports your creativity in two ways.
The journey and the visualization I'll take you on with my words,
My voice,
And the sounds behind my voice.
But the sounds behind my voice will only work if you wear headphones so please consider doing that if you want both aspects of this meditation.
Thank you.
So let's take a deep breath first and go ahead and close your eyes and get yourself comfortable where you are.
Notice any sensations in your body.
Do a quick scan through your body and just notice anything.
You don't need to fix it or label it or respond to it.
Just go ahead and notice.
Now do the same scan for your mind.
Notice your thoughts,
Feelings,
Ideas.
Just notice.
No need to fix anything or change or control them.
Just notice.
This visualization will help you get focused on first what you hope to bring to the world next and second the first step needed to bring that to the world and it takes place in a garden.
It takes place in your garden,
In the garden of you.
So take a moment and visualize what the garden of you might look like.
How big is it?
What are its boundaries,
If any?
What's in this garden?
What's not in this garden?
Welcome to the garden of you.
Put yourself in the middle of this garden,
Of the garden of you.
Notice how you feel standing or sitting or lying down or standing on your head in the middle of this garden.
Let yourself interact with the garden if you're not already interacting with it in whatever way interaction means for you in this garden.
There's no wrong answer here.
So if you find yourself wondering if you're doing it right,
The answer is yes.
Even if you're having trouble visualizing your garden or you forget that you're supposed to be interacting with the garden,
The answer is yes,
Yes,
Yes,
Yes,
Yes.
You're doing this right.
Your creativity relies on you saying yes to what appears in your garden.
So what appears in your garden?
What is right in front of you right now?
Walk around it and look at it,
Discover it,
Touch it,
Smell it,
Maybe taste it.
What is that?
It's okay not to know the answer to this question.
It can be something you've never seen before or something or someone that you know very well.
But what we will do is we'll decide that what this is is a gift that will help you discover what you want to bring to the world.
You don't have to understand the gift or how it will work.
Part of the practice is just receiving it.
So now it's time to walk a little and to discover what it is that you want to bring to the world next,
Your creative gift for the world that's next up for you.
So walk in a circle around this thing or person that you have discovered in front of you around this gift that will help you discover what you want to bring to the world next.
Keep walking in a circle around it.
And as you do,
Just ask this question of yourself.
What will I bring to the world next?
And as you ask the question,
Let your child self answer,
Not your adult self.
I'm sure your adult self has opinions about this.
All of our adult selves have opinions about this.
But what's crucial is for your child self to answer.
So now stop walking and just listen for the answer in the voice of your child self.
It could be one word,
A song,
A sentence,
An image.
But allow that to be the answer to your question,
The answer given by your child self.
You may even see your child self in front of you at a certain age,
And if you do,
And even if you don't,
You might take this opportunity to thank your child self.
Even if you don't agree with or don't understand what it was trying to say.
This child self is where your creativity comes from and developing a good relationship with it supports your creativity.
If you can,
Try holding the hands of your child self,
Both of them,
And tell your child self,
As an adult speaking to a child,
How much you love your child self.
You may want to keep holding hands or pick up your child self and put your child self on your back for the next part,
But you want to stay in touch with your child self for the next part.
This part is about discovering the first of several steps to how you will bring this new creation,
The one that your child self wants you to bring.
Into the world.
So hold hands with or carry or walk alongside the clothes your child self and go somewhere else in the garden to a new place that you haven't seen yet.
This is your future,
This location.
Look around.
What do you see there and hear there?
What is not there?
What this is showing you is the circumstances that you need to help create for your next step.
It's showing you what you need to make sure is there for you and what is not there,
So that you can bring this creation to the world.
Now in one word,
Ask your child self,
Ask your child self in one word,
What do I need?
What's the first step for me to really get this to become into being in the world?
What's my step?
Just really quickly.
The first answer that comes is your answer.
No need to dwell.
Your child self wants to speak to you.
Now given the answer your child self gave,
Please look your child self in the eyes,
Or if you can't see your child self,
Speak very gently and in a very connected way and with love.
And let your child self know that you will do what you can do to take this step to provide the things that are needed and to eliminate the things in your life that are not needed.
To bring this creation into the world.
And then please ask your child self a favor.
Ask your child self for help in staying connected with your child self through the work and play of bringing this to the world.
Finally,
See if you can share some fun,
Maybe jumping rope or running through a fountain or tickling or telling jokes,
Some kind of fun,
Singing a song with your child self.
Because that fun will make your child self want to play with you.
And that's what creating is.
Play play play play play play play play play play play play.
Hope you enjoy your play and the future you're creating.
You can come back to this garden at any time to meet with your child self.
And to create something new.
Thank you.
