
Connect To Spirit – Grounded Opening Of Third Eye & Crown

Connect to Spirit to receive guidance and insights for your highest and best. We will begin with some deep breathing before we ground into the Earth, clear and balance the chakras with protective white light, and then move into a few different methods of opening the third eye and crown chakras. There is time built into the meditation for sitting in the connected space and for journalling about your experience before we close the crown and third eye chakras and root back down. Note that this track incorporates gentle background music to enhance your experience.

Welcome to this meditation to ground,
Relax the body and open the third eye and crown chakras to receive any messages and guidance from spirit.
Ensure that you are in a comfortable position.
If you are sitting,
Ensure that you are supported so your back won't tire and distract you at any point.
If you can lay down,
This is ideal.
It works best for you.
You have a pillow under your head,
A pillow under your knees,
A blanket on top of you.
Get as comfortable as you can.
At any point you feel the need to move around,
Follow your intuition.
This may be how your body needs to move the energy.
Take a few deep breaths in with deep sighs.
Each in-breath visualize a pure white light going into the body.
And with each out-breath visualize old energy that you no longer need leaving the body.
Breathe in peace.
Breathe out fear.
Breathe in calm.
Breathe out uncertainty.
Breathe in love.
Breathe out worry.
What does this breath look like?
Is it like a grey smoke?
Is there a color to it?
Is it dense?
Is it glowing?
Each breath visualize the air that leaves your body getting clearer and more pure.
We're going to begin with the root chakra by growing roots into the earth.
Doesn't matter whether you're sitting or lying down.
Bring awareness to your feet.
Visualize that your feet are growing strong roots out the bottom that are rooting down into the earth,
Keeping you tethered,
Connected and safe to mother earth through the journey we are about to embark on together.
Further down these roots grow,
The stronger the connection is.
Feels like a hug from mother earth.
All of the white light that we just brought in has formed into a ball of protective white light.
It is now going to move up the body to clear and balance the chakras.
Looking at the root,
Relax your feet,
Your lower legs,
Your upper legs,
Your hips,
Pelvis and tailbone.
Moving up now to the sacral chakra,
Relax your lower belly,
Your lower back and your hamstring.
Maybe you can feel a slight warmth from this protective white light as it moves through you.
Up to your solar plexus,
Relaxing your upper abdomen,
Your ribs,
Your mid back and your forearms.
Feeling calmer and calmer as the light moves up your chakra system.
Moving up now to the heart chakra,
Relax your chest,
Upper back,
Upper arms and shoulders.
If you need to move at all,
Please do so,
Don't force yourself to be still.
Moving up to the throat chakra,
Relaxing your neck,
If needed moving your head from side to side.
Ensuring that your jaw is unclenched and fully relaxed.
Relax your mouth and ears.
At your third eye now,
Allow your eyes to be softly closed without tension.
Relax your forehead and your eyebrows.
At the crown now,
Fully relax the rest of your head and allow any thoughts that come up to simply pass by.
If at any point you feel distracted,
Focus on your breathing,
Focus on the sensation of the surface below you supporting your weight and how good that feels.
Take a minute or so to sit in this space of clear and balanced chakras and relaxation,
Noticing any thoughts or sensations that come up without attaching to or making meaning of them.
The white light that moved through your chakra system is now moving outwards,
Outside of the body to form a protective bubble around you,
Keeping you safe from any unwanted energy.
Remaining where you are,
We will now open our third eye.
There are a few ways to do this and I will walk us through each one.
In the future,
You can continue to use what feels good to you.
And if it feels good,
You can also use all of these methods together.
First,
You can simply speak it by saying,
My third eye is open to receiving.
You can say it as many times as needed until you truly feel it.
My third eye is open to receiving.
Second,
You can visualize it.
With your eyes closed,
Imagine that there is quite literally a third eye between your eyes on your forehead.
Imagine as you sit or lie where you are,
With your two eyes closed,
Your third eye opens and remains open to take in what's around you.
You can focus on this visualization until you truly feel it.
Feel free to pause this meditation at any time if needed.
Third,
You can physically open it.
This also incorporates some imagination and visualization.
So imagining again that there is a third eye in the center of the forehead,
Gently move your hand up to your face and use your finger to lift the eyelid of the third eye open.
When your third eye opens,
You may feel a light pressure or tingling in that space on your forehead.
We will now open our crown chakra.
There's a similar process here as for our third eye,
So there are a few ways to do this.
First,
You can simply speak it by saying,
My crown chakra is open to receiving.
You can say it as many times as needed until you truly feel it.
My crown chakra is open to receiving.
Second,
You can visualize it.
With your eyes closed,
Imagine a white light coming out of the top of your head and shooting upwards,
Connecting you to the universe.
Third,
You can physically open your crown chakra by imagining a closed faucet above your head.
As you gently reach your hand above you to rotate the faucet to open it to the level at which you wish to receive.
For example,
You can turn it just a bit,
Visualizing a slow drip,
Or you can go as far as all the way where you are fully open to everything that spirit has to offer you.
There's no right or wrong way to do this,
And there is nothing to be afraid of.
When your crown chakra open,
Your head may feel slightly itchy or tingly.
Now that you are relaxed,
Your chakras are clear and balanced.
You are surrounded by protective white light,
And your third eye and crown chakra are open.
You can connect to your spirit team.
We ask that this connection be in a compassionate and gentle form,
And for your highest and best only.
In this process,
Practice having an open mind.
Trust that you are safe and protected.
Avoid judging or discounting anything that you experience.
Open yourself to the possibilities.
We all have the ability to connect,
And there is no right or wrong way of doing it.
When your awareness of spirit around you is heightened,
You may feel a change in temperature,
A breeze,
Chills,
Goosebumps,
Lightheadedness,
Tingling or light pressure,
And you might also notice little tech glitches,
Like the audio of this meditation pausing momentarily,
Or lights flickering,
Remembering again that you are safe.
I'd like you to take some time now to sit in this space so you can quietly take notice of all the senses.
Do you hear anything?
Do you see anything?
Do you feel anything?
Do you taste or smell anything?
Is there anything you feel that you now intuitively know?
Is there anything in your life that suddenly seems clearer to you?
I will give you a few minutes now to take everything in,
And you can pause this meditation if you need extra time.
Remaining in this space of openness,
I would like to call you back to your body in the present moment,
To journal about your experience for a few minutes.
You can pause this meditation if you need more time.
When you are ready,
You will resume the meditative position you were in previously,
And we're going to work backwards,
Closing the crown,
Closing the third eye,
Doing a scan of the body moving downward.
We will now close the crown chakra,
So you can say aloud or in your head,
My crown chakra is now closed.
You can visualize your crown chakra closing by imagining that white light retracting back into the top of your head,
Bringing your energy back in.
You can physically close your crown chakra again by reaching your hand above you,
And rotating that faucet.
You can close it to the level that feels good to you.
Some people like to leave their crown chakra open just a tad.
For having a good night's sleep,
I do recommend closing your crown and third eye chakras.
There's nothing to be afraid of,
However,
You may have vivid dreams,
Or just a restless sleep,
So you can close that faucet all the way.
Next we will close our third eye again,
You can say this aloud by saying,
My third eye is now closed.
You can visualize your third eye closing.
Or you can physically close the third eye,
Moving your hand up to your face and using your finger to close the eyelid.
You can rest your hand on this space until you feel that it is closed.
This white light that we pulled back into our body,
Now begins to work its way back down to the earth.
In the crown chakra,
Clearing away and balancing the energy.
Down to the third eye.
And moving down to the throat now,
Soothing the area.
Clearing this chakra.
Now down to the heart space,
Clearing out any stagnant energy.
Moving down to the solar plexus.
Further down to the sacral chakra.
Now down to the root chakra,
Beginning in the area of your hips,
Leaving you feeling grounded and relaxed.
Before it moves its way further down your legs,
To your ankles and your feet.
And this light now moves out of the body into the roots that are connecting you to the earth,
Taking any unwanted energy with it to be transformed and recirculated into the universe.
You have been restored to wholeness,
You are safe,
Protected and peaceful.
And your roots now grow back up towards your body.
And you can use this visualization of rooting into the earth anytime you feel that you need to ground.
I now call back your energy,
Returning again to the earth anything that is no longer needed.
Bring some movement back into your body now,
Rolling out your ankles,
Wiggling your toes,
Rolling your wrists,
Moving your head from side to side,
Lifting your shoulders up and down,
Maybe stretching your hands above your head.
Take a deep breath in and let it all go.
Whenever you're ready,
I encourage you to sit up slowly and open your eyes and take a few sips of water to help you ground into your body again.
