The name of this meditation is Compassionate Tree.
This meditation is for those moments when you feel out of balance or you are going through distressing circumstances.
Find a comfortable position and close your eyes.
Take one generous,
Slow,
Relaxing breath.
Allow this breath to help you get rooted in this moment.
Soften your breath.
Continue breathing in an easy way.
Now,
Feel or imagine a wave of relaxation starting from the crown of your head and then slowly let go.
As each wave washes over you,
Feel your body becoming more relaxed and grounded.
Now,
Visualize yourself as a mighty tree.
Your feet are the roots,
Drawing strength and nourishment from the earth.
Your body is the strong,
Sturdy trunk.
Your arms are the sprawling branches reaching up towards the sky.
And your thoughts are the leaves rustling in the wind.
Consider the nature of a tree.
It stands tall and firm,
Weathering storms and basking in the sun.
It provides shelter and life.
It is both resilient and compassionate,
Offering its shade and fruits selflessly to all.
Just like a tree,
You can withstand the storms of life.
Take one deep breath and allow it to help you feel your body's energy.
Feel your roots going deeper into the earth.
Notice the stability and strength.
Silently,
You can say to yourself,
When you breathe in,
I am resilient.
When you breathe out,
I can weather life's storms.
Take another generous,
Slow breath.
And imagine your branches reaching out,
Providing shelter and comfort to others.
This is your compassion.
Feel it spreading out from you warming those around you.
Fully connected to this moment.
See yourself as this compassionate tree.
You are firm yet flexible,
Strong yet kind,
Rooted yet always reaching for the sky.
You offer shelter and warmth to others but you also know how to weather your own storms.
Take one last slow,
Generous breath.
And imagine your branches reaching out to the sky.
Feel it spreading out from you warming those around you.
And breathe in.
And bring your attention back to your body.
Notice the room around you.
And whenever you're ready,
Open your eyes.
Remember,
Like the compassionate tree,
You can stand strong in the face of adversity and offer kindness to those around you.
I hope this has been helpful for you.
