Hello and welcome.
Today we embark on a profound and unique journey.
This experience is not about merely relaxing,
Escaping or quieting your mind.
It's about exploring the depths of who you are,
Connecting with the life force that runs through you and awakening the oasis of wisdom and tranquility within.
Begin.
Close your eyes now and let the physical world around you dissolve into the background.
You are here in this sacred moment with yourself.
Let this meditation be a gift to your soul,
A time when nothing else matters but your own connection to your essence.
Begin by taking a deep breath in through your nose,
Slowly,
Deeply and exhale through your mouth.
Let it be a release,
A cleansing of the day's weight,
The stresses and the thoughts swirling in your mind.
Breathe in again,
This time even more deeply and hold that breath for a second.
Notice the space between the inhale and the exhale,
The pause that feels like a moment of pure stillness.
Continue this breathing,
Breathing deeply,
Inhaling through your nose,
Exhaling through your mouth.
With each breath imagine you are drawing in the clean,
Refreshing energy of the universe and releasing everything that no longer serves you.
Let yourself be cradled by the rhythm of your breath,
Like waves gently lapping at the shore.
Each inhale brings you deeper into connection with your true self.
Each exhale lets go of the distractions that veil your inner oasis.
Now gently shift your awareness to your body.
Become mindful of the sensations that are present without judgment,
Simply notice.
How does the air feel as it enters your nostrils?
Cool perhaps or maybe warm?
How does your chest rise and fall as your lungs expand and contract?
Notice the steady rhythm of your breathing,
The life force that keeps you anchored to the present.
Allow your awareness to move through your body,
From your head down to your toes.
Imagine you are gently scanning your body with your mind's eye,
Observing the tension,
Noticing the areas that feel relaxed and at ease.
You don't need to do anything else.
Just observe.
Allow yourself to be exactly as you are in this moment.
Starting at the crown of your head,
Feel a sensation of relaxation and openness.
Let the muscles of your scalp and forehead soften.
Let your eyes sink deeper into their sockets.
Allow your jaw to release any tightness it holds.
Let your tongue rest gently in your mouth.
With each exhale you feel the muscles of your face and head softening,
As though they are being bathed in warm golden light.
That light begins to cascade downward,
Relaxing your neck and shoulders.
Let them droop,
Releasing the burdens they've been carrying.
Imagine the tension melting away,
As though it's evaporating into thin air.
Allow that warm relaxation to flow down your arms,
Your elbows,
Wrists and hands.
Feel your hands resting in your lap or at your sides,
Heavy,
Relaxed and completely at ease.
Continue to breathe deeply and now bring your awareness to your chest.
Notice your heart beating steady and sure.
With each breath allow your heart to soften,
To open like a flower blooming in the sun.
Imagine every beat of your heart sending love,
Peace and calm through your entire being.
From your chest let your awareness slide down to your abdomen.
Feel the rise and fall of your belly with each breath.
Soften here and imagine any stress or tension dissolving away,
Like mist in the morning sun.
Now your legs.
Feel the warmth,
The relaxation flowing down through your hips,
Thighs,
Knees,
Calves,
Ankles and all the way to your feet.
Feel your feet sink into the earth beneath you,
Grounded,
Supported and connected.
As your body becomes deeply relaxed,
Turn your attention inward to the landscape of your mind.
Your thoughts may still be swirling but imagine now that each thought is like a leaf on a stream.
Instead of clinging to the thoughts,
Watch them float by.
Let them drift unhurried in the flow of your awareness.
They don't need to go anywhere and neither do you.
You are simply observing without judgment.
There is nothing you need to fix,
Nothing you need to figure out.
Your thoughts like the leaves are part of the stream but they are not the stream itself.
Let them come,
Let them go.
You are the observer.
As you watch the flow of thoughts,
Begin to notice the spaces between them.
Between each thought there is a gap,
A moment of stillness.
Focus your attention on these gaps.
In this stillness lies your true essence,
Your inner oasis.
Imagine now that you are standing at the edge of a great desert,
Stretching out as far as the eye can see.
The sands are golden,
Warm beneath your feet.
But in the distance you see a shimmering oasis,
An oasis just for you.
It is a place of deep peace,
Of ancient wisdom,
A sanctuary where you can reconnect with your true self.
Begin walking toward this oasis.
With each step you take,
You feel lighter,
Freer.
The weight of your worries,
Your doubts,
Your fears,
They all fall away,
Left behind in the shifting sands of the desert.
As you approach the oasis,
You notice how lush it is.
The trees sway gently in the breeze,
Their leaves glistening with dew.
There is a pool of crystal clear water reflecting the sky above.
Birds sing softly in the trees,
And the air is filled with the scent of flowers.
Step into this oasis now.
Feel the coolness of the water as it laps at your feet.
The gentle breeze caresses your skin,
Which complements the feeling of the cool water.
This is a place of deep serenity,
A place where time seems to stand still.
You have arrived.
In this sacred space,
You are free to just be.
Free from the noise of the outside world,
Free from the expectations of others,
Free from the stories your mind has told you about who you are.
Here,
You are simply yourself,
Pure,
Whole,
And complete.
Take a moment to listen to the silence.
In this silence,
There is wisdom,
Ancient and timeless.
It whispers to you,
Not in words,
But in feelings,
In knowing.
This wisdom has always been within you.
It is the still,
Quiet voice of your true self.
You don't need to understand it or interpret it right now.
Just let it be.
Allow it to fill you like the cool water of the oasis.
Know that whenever the world outside becomes too loud,
Too overwhelming,
You can return here.
All it takes is a breath,
A moment of stillness,
And you will find yourself back in this sanctuary,
In this oasis of peace.
Take one last deep breath in through the nose and out through the mouth.
And when you are ready,
Slowly open your eyes.
Carry this with you into your day,
Knowing that you are always connected to your true self,
The oasis within.
