The new moon represents a clean slate. It’s the universes’ monthly reminder to us to find stillness, welcome in fresh, vital energy, and open up to receive guidance. When you align with the open, high-vibrational energy of the new moon, answers you may (or may not!) have been seeking can come more easily to you. So any time you feel the need for a new beginning, a fresh start, or a little guidance, give this guided meditation a listen. Whether that coincides with the new moon or not! Enjoy.

The New Moon represents a clean slate,

And it's the perfect monthly reminder to sit in stillness,

Welcome in some fresh new energy,

And open yourself up to receive a little guidance.

In this meditation,

We'll connect to the quiet cleansing energy of the New Moon,

Which will allow us to tune in more deeply to our inner wisdom to receive any answers we may have been looking for.

Begin by finding a quiet,

Peaceful place to do this meditation,

Ideally somewhere dark and without distractions.

In a comfortable seated position with spine straight but not stiff,

Allow the backs of your hands to rest on your thighs in a position of receiving.

Gently float your eyelids closed,

Finding yourself in total comforting darkness.

Become aware of your inner world,

How you're feeling mentally and physically.

Gently If you find that you're holding on to tension anywhere in the body,

The face,

Jaw,

Or shoulders,

Allow it to dissolve completely by directing your breath there.

If you find that your mind is full of thoughts,

Simply acknowledge this and gently draw your attention towards your breath instead.

Noticing each inhale and exhale,

Letting your breath become a little deeper,

A little slower.

Finding balance in your breath by allowing your exhales to lengthen just a little,

And allowing your inhales to match.

So if at any point you find you've become carried away with thoughts or distractions,

That's okay.

Just guide your awareness back to your breath,

Back to those equal inhales and exhales.

So so Continue with this steady and slow flow of breath.

Allow your awareness to come to your solar plexus to the center of your body.

And with each deep breath,

Begin to notice a small orb of glowing white light in this space,

Like a tiny moon growing little by little.

A little brighter with each inhale,

A little stronger with each exhale.

So eventually,

Feeling this glowing white light enter every corner of your body,

Dissolving all staying in energy and replacing it with fresh new energy.

Until your every cell is filled with this vital light,

Feeling all tension dissolve,

Until your entire energetic body feels new and fresh,

Like a clean slate.

Simply enjoy how this feels for a few moments.

So now in this state of pure light,

Open yourself to receive any guidance meant for you today,

Understanding that your entire being is primed and tuned in now,

Listening.

You might ask a specific question like,

What should I focus on creating this lunar cycle?

Or simply open to receive any message that's meant for you.

Though it may take some time or even a day or two,

Trust completely that you've aligned yourself with the clear,

Cosmic,

Connected energy of the new moon so your guidance is on its way.

Simply breathe and open yourself up to receive for the next few moments.

So your guidance may come in a single word or symbol.

It may have already presented itself to you or it might be on its way.

So if you haven't received the message you're seeking yet,

You can set an intention to stay open to receive it over the days to come.

Something like,

May I be open to receive all guidance meant for me over the days to come.

May it come in a way that is so unexpected,

So surprising that it leaves me no doubt that this is the answer I've been looking for.

So once you feel ready,

You can begin to bring your attention back to your body.

Feeling your feet on the ground,

Backs of your palms on your thighs,

Coming back to the room you're in.

And when you're ready,

Opening your eyes.
