I Have a complicated relationship with time I think we all do in some sort have just been diagnosed with ADD Step back from fray while still remaining amazing. Thank you so much guys. How many of you have Have used a calendar on a regular basis time? Flights Okay, I do I do and if you don't just type no I don't I'm just curious to know how many people do and how many people don't I? With your schedule I Need to find the next journey I keep a loose calendar sometimes messy okay lost okay So I want you to share the emotion from your current calendar, Okay, And if you don't have a calendar I want you to share why you don't have a calendar is it because you are afraid of losing freedom Is it because you don't know how to do it is it because he feels overwhelmed? Overwhelmed and out of control I want to prioritize my personal time Lost trying to remember everything so busy overwhelmed I Feel like I managed okay, And mmm overwhelming. I don't rely how much on kinda need more time I need to use my time better Like a prison so the calendar feels like a prison That's interesting more to lose than a done appointment Difficult to have a schedule with a five-month, Baby I'm gonna be sharing about that guys because I had a baby well I have a two and a half year old daughter and Our calendar reflects how we had to change our calendar to make it work. This is really important and this is for all of you guys. I Work all the time. Okay so a lot of people I'm just cleaning the energy because what there was so much share there guys. Whoo. I feel overwhelmed too No, This is actually great. I Love how engaged you guys are this gonna be an amazing session. I can feel it. I can feel it I mean me too. Welcome Kathy. We just got started Okay, And there will be a recording of this session anyways, So don't worry. So I feel like I never meet all my goals in a day. Okay, So you are being too optimistic Yeah recording. So someone said something very important. Okay, I Don't want to fill my calendar with things that are not meaningful to me. And this is the number one We all feel afraid of doing that right having our calendar full of things all our time is going somewhere We feel like trapped. We feel like we don't have control. We feel that we don't have any empty spots for ourselves and Everything that's in the calendar is not fulfilling for us. It's not Intentional, It's not something that we are excited about Okay, So if that's your case you are not alone because that's why that's why I'm doing this session guys Because I know that a lot of you and I myself if I don't take the time to do this exercise I will end up with a week that I don't like or my week with will go by so fast That I will go look back and I will say what did I do? Did I enjoy my week? Did I do the best out of my time? And sometimes the answer is no I plan blocks of downtime for my yoga meditation on Beach walks to be able to relax and break free of the bonds of truth scheduling Absolutely, And that's something that is important in your calendar guys the self-care aspect You can just fill your calendar with activities and tasks and chores and that's it and have your full day Full of things that don't mean anything to you You have to have your variety, Right? Yeah, This is especially important when you work for yourself or from home. Absolutely Lee. That's me And I can tell you that I was overwhelmed. Sometimes I am overwhelmed because my life my business changes so fast and all of a sudden I am I Have to do things that I didn't do before I don't know how to do them efficiently and then my week becomes a mess So when that happens, I just want to show you what I do. Okay? So when that happens I do this And I don't know if you guys see what I'm showing you here, But basically This is a full week Monday to Sunday and I do a time inventory Okay a time inventory. This is for all of you guys That you feel yourself trapped in a week that you don't like You feel yourself trapped in a week full of things that you don't even know what they are why they are there and you feel drained you feel like in self-care and me time you feel Like the week is not flowing. You are not enjoying your time Okay, You just go by trying to put fires trying to get things done But at the end of the week, You don't feel satisfied You don't feel fulfilled your dreams and goals are not reflected in that week and then another week starts of the same Okay I've been there. I think we all have been there So the way for you to be able to create your idea week a week that can look like this is my wife's journal For example, And I am happy to share some of her pages For example, This is one of her weeks from last year from 2020. Okay So she has different colors for different activities and then she basically this exercise repeats Every few months with us every few months. She she does a new week so again, This is another week that she has and then there you go another week and She's a very visual person and she does it in her journal I Sometimes use my journal when I have to actually think and design my week But once I am putting my week into action, I personally like using my phone and I use Yeah, Can you hold it longer? Yeah, Like this is a week but guys don't think this is not something That you have to follow. This is just one example of what she does how we do this exercise. Okay So this is just a week. You just start Monday To Sunday and why a week why a week guys? Why not a month? Why not a day when you are doing time management because After working with so many people and after working with myself and after After thinking and reflecting about my life and everybody's life, Right? If there is something that you want to see in your life something that is important to you Every week should reflect that. Okay. So let me explain that a Week is enough time for you to work for you to spend family time for you to do exercise for you to pursue hobbies for you to use the time in the ways that you want to use it if You just were to take a day a day is not enough time for you to fit everything that you need in your life If you take a month is way too overwhelming for some people to plan a whole month, Right? It's just too much time When you have a week a week is the perfect amount of time Because a week is something that repeats itself a week is something that is long enough to be able to fit Everything that you want to see in your life majority of the things Okay, Majority of the things but it's not too long that you will become overwhelmed with it And it has workdays and a weekend. So a week has mornings evenings nights So everything is in there and we humans have an saccharin rhythm we call it Okay, It's a rhythm an energetic rhythm that Repeats every 24 hours. This is something scientific. You can go on Google and you type saccharin rhythm and you will read that Everybody all of us have a 24 hour cycle that repeats itself It's like nature guys nature everything repeats itself the seasons come and go the day and the night come and go Everything comes and go the same way. It's a cycle We have a cycle in ourselves and let me ask you guys how many of you are night owls? How many of you are morning people how many of you have peak energy in the middle of the day? We are all different and we all have different energy levels different like See morning night morning night owl morning morning night owl, But want to be a morning person So we all have that rhythms. Okay, That happens. Okay for me, For example, I'm not a morning person I'm not a night person either. I'm a day person So my energy is like I get up in the morning and then after maybe half an hour I start increasing my energy and then I have a peak through the middle of the day and then I have a low Normally after lunch and then I have another peak between like four and seven and then my energy levels start decreasing, Right? So that's my own saccade rhythm. That's how I feel I work. So my creative work is done at this time Then that's why I do the sessions at this time because it's when you will find me with the most energy Okay and then last week we were talking about books that were helping you to be intentional and one of the books was talking about self-care Okay, And how important that energy levels Like you start the in the morning You have a lot of energy and then your energy drains and then what did the book recommend for you to go back to the top? Self-care, Okay. I'm sorry guys. I'm getting a lot of messages here and Wow night I will okay, So this is what happens to my relative us we have peak energy Okay, And then our energy starts decreasing to see decreasing decreasing until we are drained Then what do we need to do to put our energy back up? What can you do to raise your energy? I want you to answer me, Please put something in the comments What can you do when you feel low energetical speaking? How can you increase your energy levels? So when you are looking at your week You are looking first. You have to be aware of like, How do I feel during the week breathe breathe is so important Okay, Drinking water first thing I do in the morning. I try to drink two full glasses of water first thing in the morning Okay, So that's what you do your energy stop and then So Many messages so fast. Yeah. Sorry if I'm missing stuff guys, But I'm getting the sense of it You already know what you need to do. Okay, So when we are designing our week, That's what we have to be aware of What's my energy level? Okay, And some people already know that some people don't know that Some people are night people but that's affecting their lives negatively. So they want to change to be morning person so they are trying to create a week that facilitates and Empowers that and that's also doable, But you have to change your body. It's you're gonna change habits here, Right? But just look at your natural sarcastic rhythm right now. Okay, And then try to create a week that Fits well with that and now, You know when your energy is high what time of the day? You know when your energy goes to the top to the bottom. Sorry, And then you know that self-care is required there So that's when you are going to allow yourself for power nap Go for a walk listen to something that inspires you and it doesn't matter if you have to work It doesn't matter if you are doing something else. You can always find a self-care activity To raise your energy while you are doing that thing For example if I have to do dishes or I have to do the laundry or I have to do something at shore That I have to do I have it on my calendar. It is my responsibility and It's boring for me I can make that short better by me doing something at the same time so I can listen to something I can watch to something I can maybe Like exercise while I'm doing something. I don't know you can make be creative and create something that it's better for you. Okay Reset renew repeat. Yeah Okay, So to have to 214 of us. Yeah amazing. Happy to see so many people Okay, So how many people feel overwhelmed at the idea of creating this right now? Having a piece of paper and then putting Monday to Sunday and then putting all the times and Feeling in the blanks how many people will feel overwhelmed at that idea? Me yes, I do. Absolutely Yes Overwhelming I do Amazing. So guys that was me When we were doing this exercise so People feel excited. I was excited and I was paralyzed. I couldn't do it My wife was after me for a while and it's like Emilio. Why can't you just create a week? It doesn't have to be perfect. Just create a week. You don't have to have everything in it Just create something that reflects the reality of your life now and you don't have to be get get detail Yes, Right down. When do you sleep and this is for you guys simple? For those of you who are feeling overwhelmed. This is how I will start. Okay When do you sleep? Oh, I sleep I myself sleep between 11 p. M. And 7 a. M. 730 a. M That's my sweet spot for sleeping. So I will cover that in when do I eat? Okay, I have normally lunch at noon. I have dinner at 630 And that's pretty much it. Okay, I brought it there. Okay, When I take when do I take care of my daughter Eva? And that's a topic that I will talk more about but my wife and I Created a schedule together so that we could Be clear about when I have free time and when I'm in charge of Eva Because so many times if we if you don't know We were frustrated because we couldn't do anything because we didn't know when we were free So we created that time and then I call her and say okay on Monday I'm taking care of Eva at this time on Tuesday at this time on Wednesday at this time So my week is starting to take shape with just the basics. Okay, And then you can stop there You can just stop there for a week and then you start observing. Am I following this? How do I feel? How is my energy levels and then that's when this exercise can come in. Okay. What is this exercise? This exercise is what I had to do before being able to do the week So I had to inventory my time and my case is I am an entrepreneur So I don't have a nine-to-five job. I have a thousand things I want to do I don't have a boss prioritizing for me. So I have to be the one deciding everything. That's why it was overwhelming Right, So I started to monitor my time. Okay. What did I do on Monday? I did these things What did I do on Tuesday? I did these things and then this notebook was with me beside me and I forced myself to write down everything I was doing and you may think oh my god. This is so much work Let me ask you how is your week serving you right now? How is your week serving you right now? Is it amazing? Or is it overwhelming like many of you share? So if it's not exciting if it's not fun if it's terrible, Why wouldn't you invest a little bit of time guys? In making it better You just take a little bit of time a few hours here a few hours there and then you create something and then you start Building from that and then in a few weeks you will have a week that will look completely different Okay, And you will have a week that you will start enjoying more and you are not aiming a perfectionist out there I am a perfectionist don't aim for perfection. Okay, You are not creating your perfect week This is not your perfect week. Forget about it. No perfection here This is your ideal week right now. Okay start you need to start from somewhere You need to start from somewhere. So start with the basics. When do you sleep? When do you eat? When do you work if work is something that is regular try to put in there the things that you regularly do and Then all the stuff that is unsure yet all the stuff that is overwhelming. Just leave it out for a second. Okay Aim for progress not perfection. Absolutely Kathy. Thank you so much. So that's what I did for one and I just want you to notice that so I I write down the things that I do during the day and then at the bottom I leave myself space for How I feel for example On Saturday, I have I weigh 89 kilos summation mark. I was wow. I'm getting fat. I have to do something about it And then in here for example look on Wednesday Wednesday 10th this this was June last year. So on Wednesday here I I use my pen. I use this pen. Okay, This pen has four colors black red Green and blue so you see below here that I have green stuff and I have red stuff so this day This day for example, You see that I Got up in the morning. And then this means that I have my daughter Eva So I was taking off Eva taking care of Eva that day then these are the things I was doing at the same time so this day I have feeling overwhelmed with the amount of with the amount of work and Then this person didn't respond and I felt frustrated and then my energy levels were really low at 2 p. M. I Didn't allow enough self-care time this day and I didn't like it. So you start making notes you start Analyzing how you feel the emotions of every day and then what happens when you do this one week two weeks One or two weeks is it's already enough So what happens here is that you are seeing the reality and this is especially important for those of you who are self-employed those of you who don't have structure Imposed on them meaning you don't have a job that is nine to five Okay, And there is a boss waiting for you there or you have to log in and then nine to five you have to work And that's the way it does so that way you it's one less decision for you to make Because someone is already making that decision for you But if you are self-employed you are in charge of everything Okay, So it means I have a chronic illness symptoms are extremely unpredictable. Sometimes a little sometimes literally muscles. So So in that case Amy like you have a very very specific situation, Right and I'm gonna talk about ways different ways of designing your week Okay, Because when you are designing your week So you become aware of your energy levels and then you can track your week doing this exercise Okay, And then you have to analyze What do I want to see in my week? Because guys there are some things that you have to do But there are so many other things that you can say no to if you don't like them Okay, So work you can analyze do I like my work? I may work in X amount of time. So you put it in here, Right? If you don't like your work, Then maybe you have to like make a wall of trying to find something different But that's another idea. That's something that will come eventually but right now Sorry, You have to design a week that you can get started with. Okay? So then you have to think about the things that you want to do And then there are things that are time bound and there are things that are not time bound So let me explain that I am self-employed If I book a live call with you guys at 10 a. M. I have to show up at 10 a. M. Sharp Okay, It's happening at this specific time Okay, If I have to create a course That is gonna take me 10 hours to say something I don't have to do the course in a specific day a specific time That's how that's a flexible task. Okay a task that you can Put inside whatever you feel right you can play with it. No one is waiting for you at a specific time of the day So when you design your week, You can create I create a block of time that is called work I don't go into the details of what I'm doing there. Okay? Only the insight timer course are in there because they have to happen at 10 a. M. On Tuesdays and Thursdays Okay, But other than that Me to follow through it's incredibly difficult. So other than that the rest is flexible So I have a list of the things that I have to do. Okay, I have to create my new course for insight timer That's something that I it's my priority right? I have to do my social media So I have a reminder every two weeks for example to do my social media and then I I create the content for my social media and then It's done. I schedule it and then that task will repeat in two weeks from now So I start looking at the things that I have to do and then I start to be more I try to be more efficient with them and How can you be more efficient with what you are doing? So something that I invite you to do That someone mentioned like I don't want to have a week that is full of things that are not meaningful to me and guys if you are doing this exercise and you are trying to put things in your calendar and You are trying to be more efficient doing things that you don't love Doing things that you don't feel right about doing things that don't fit your show you will never have a good week because you are not being intentional and Then I want to step back a little bit here before we keep going into how to design your week Okay, You have to get clear on what you want to see in your week Okay So, I don't know are you guys getting what I'm trying to say here Okay, How many of you Have how many of you allow yourself time To get clear with yourself about what you want to see in your week I Sketch up one or three things. I want to get that and more Please see last few comments about follow through not me trying to I don't know Okay, So I have talked about this several times before but this is what we do my wife and I I I don't know if you can see what I'm sharing here So we allow ourselves some time To get clear with ourselves. Okay. So in this case we do what we call a creation Why do we call it a creation? Because guys you are the creator of your life You are the creator of your life You can create whatever you want to see. Okay. Yes, Whatever you want to see If you don't set the intention Someone else is going to do it for you Okay. So what is this? We have divided our lifestyle in different areas that make sense to us. You can use different labels It doesn't matter in our case. We have body we Have mind we have work We have stuff physical stuff. We have family. We have giving back and we have social Okay, So these are some areas that make sense for us now For you, You may find different areas of your life that you want to work on you may have different headings It doesn't matter but you are allowing time to be with yourself and then to think okay Let's think about my body. How do I feel about my body on a scale 0 to 10? How do I feel I Feel a 7 Okay, What do I want to include in my week? Regarding my body. Okay. I want to play squash. I play squash. I love playing squash squash for me is exercise is Social time it's self-care. It's mindfulness because when I'm playing squash, I'm in the present moment So squash for me means a lot. It's very important. So I try to play squash three times a week So that's gonna go in my calendar. Okay, Three times a week. I play squash Then I look at my mind and say okay. How do I feel about my mind? Okay, I feel a five Okay, What can I do to improve my mind? I notice that I'm not including enough self-care time in my day Okay, How can I make that better? I'm going to try to do self-care more often. So when I do that that's why Previously I allow myself some time to create my self-care list That looks like this and it doesn't have to be as complicated as this but it's basically brainstorming with yourself the things that you want to see in your life the things that make you feel well in my case I divided my self-care list in sport and exercise relaxing and fun Things I can do with my wife Things I can do with Eva and then things that take less than five minutes. Okay, So things that take Less than five minutes. Okay things that I can do for sports things that I can do with Relaxing and fun things that I can do with my wife Samantha and things that I can do with Eva And I took it to the next level by coloring like physical activities are blue relaxing are Orange creative activities are yellow fun are purple and social are blue So I just did this. This is my last self-care list guys. I've been doing this for years So don't aim to do this if this is too overwhelming I just want you to create at least bullet points of things that you can do when you feel drained Okay things that you can do when you need energy in my case Deep breathing meditation things that take less than five minutes pet my cat Negrito juggle my balls Play the diggity-doo Practice a little bit of piano that we have a piano there greet affirmations Coffee having a coffee. Okay hugging Samantha and telling her I love her just for no reason I don't read reviews from my courses guys. I do that when I feel drained I go to my courses. I Take reviews and I start reading what people are writing about me and that I can tell you my energy level rise Like that, Okay, And then things I can do with Eva guys for parents here one of the things I was facing when I when I had my daughter and Everybody was telling me it's like you are gonna have to give up everything you love because now you are a father And I say Fudge. No, I Will never do that. I will find a way to make it happen So I am the crazy dad that is rollerblading pushing her daughter on the stroller I am the crazy dad that goes to the park and sets the slackline And I'm slacklining while my daughter is playing in the playground I am the crazy guy who goes on a electric skateboard pushing the story of my daughter So I try to do activities that I can include her So I used to look I love rollerblading for example, And I go to rollerblading adventures So I thought how can I include her? How can I make it an activity that she can be a part of that? We both can have fun. I Exercise and then everybody's happy So I got a stroller that I can hook up to my bicycle And I can push with my I can run with it or I can roll away with it Okay, So what do I do? Of course? I don't go one hour really bleeding and come home like I used to Now I think what does Eva like she got she loves going to Playgrounds she loves going to the splash pad. She loves going to some stores. She loves collecting drugs. So I try to plan Okay I'm gonna really blade for half an hour to that destination and then she's gonna get off out and then she's gonna play around She's gonna have fun and then we're gonna get back in the stroller and then I'm gonna roll it back So I get exercise she so this is how you have to start thinking right? I Have to cook food. Okay, I'm gonna cook food and at the same time I'm gonna listen to a course on inside timer I'm going to listen to a meditation I'm going to watch my favorite show on Netflix on my phone on a tripod and this is what I what I have I have the phone on a tripod and I move the phone everywhere I go if I need to and I can watch things I can watch YouTube videos I can do whatever to make that task a bit better. Okay, So the idea here is that you are aware that you know what you want and That you have that a vision of the activities that you want to see in your week So once you get clear by doing these exercises How easier is going to be for you to create your week? How much more clarity are you going to have working Minimizing so halfway get a framework to start difference between the concept of Early sketches and intentional frameworks to create a better life. Yeah, Like that's great guys use your time wisely excited. Okay, I and Again guys this see this doesn't have to happen overnight so what I invite people to do when I work with them with time management and what I do myself I Create the week on a piece of paper because it's easier It's less distracting and then once I have a week that I can start testing what I do I Use my phone and I put my week in my phone and then I'm happy to share with you How my week looks like so I go to my phone I go to the calendar And this is how my week looks like in my calendar. Okay, So basically I have it on a three-day view So if you want to see my entire week I can just say week here and then you can see my entire week here the pink stuff the pink stuff It's Eva. Okay, So I have to take care of Eva this all those times and my wife is off So my wife doesn't have to Doesn't have to take care of you at that time. Okay, It's my time and then the time that is not pink It's my time to do whatever I want. Okay, This is just Google Calendar, But you can do this anywhere. Okay, I Just have to know And okay, Let me share about parenting guys and My wife Samantha and I when we had Eva We were facing this My wife used to do yoga two three times a day a week. I used to play squash two three times a week We are both self-employed so we don't have a structure. We don't have Clarity about when to do things we have to come up with that. So our frustration was what you just guys shared. I Don't have time for myself. I have to give up what I love because I don't know when I'm able to do it My friends were calling me or asking me. Can you come to do this? And I had no idea I opened my calendar and I had no idea if I say yes Then maybe my wife was expecting something from me Maybe I don't know and then she was upset or I was upset or I didn't know So the easiest was to say I can't I can't I can't because it was too complicated too overwhelming I didn't have the clarity to say when can I meet and this is the reality for so many of my friends sadly Okay, I barely see them because they don't have any structure because they don't know when they are free They don't know when they have time for themselves. So my wife and I decided this is not working for me This is not working for us. This is the sucks. This is so frustrating. We are both parenting at the same time We are both like not knowing when we are free when we are know who is changing Eva's diapers who is feeding Eva? Who is making lunch? We had no idea right? Everything was a mess all the time every day every week So we decided to sit down and say okay Let's sit down and let's create something that we both feel comfortable with But if we do this on paper, How do we leave time and space for new database to pop up? So The paper is just a starting point. That's why I personally like using my phone because you create your week In paper because it's less destructive because it's easier It's more like you can play around with things you can do the same thing on the computer Okay, I will recommend the computer more than the phone because the screen is bigger. So basically So coming to know where does intuition is pandemic and flow come in if no kids, Okay me Let me let me finish with this first. Okay, So I Create that starting point. This is a starting point Okay, And this is kind of evolved every time you need for it to evolve But I put all my commitments in the calendar. You can do it on the computer You can change the color of every activity and then you can move them around you can drag and drop from day to day So if you are a tech person do it on the computer if that's easier for you, Okay Do you need to create the sketch or twice once on paper and once on computer again The Susan different ways of doing the same thing as yourself. How do I feel more comfortable? Doing this Do I feel comfortable? It feels good to be on the computer right away or do I know that I'm gonna get distracted and I will not get it Done and I need to go to a place that is calm I need to check in with myself and I need color because I'm a creative person tangible person My wife does not do this on the phone. Never. She always does it here and sometimes it drives me bananas because She wants to do the exercise and then my approach is like, Oh, I just changed my Google Calendar and I'm done She says no Emilio. I am a tangible person. I'm a visual person I have to do to my journal first and then I will transfer it to my calendar. That's what she needs guys You decide what you need. The end goal is to have a calendar a Week that includes the things that you want to see how you get there. It doesn't matter. Okay, It doesn't matter Can you share the categories for things I want to do great ideas their body might so body mind work Staff family giving back and social. Okay See, So some people say I love the idea of doing it in paper and then transferring Some people will say I don't want to waste my time doing it in paper I'd rather do it on the computer. It doesn't matter how you guys do it Okay at the end of the day You have to find a way that is sufficient for you and the end goal is for you to have a week Okay, So back to the parenting thing my wife and I we were overwhelmed we were frustrated and we couldn't do the things that we used to and We are not expecting to do the exams the exact same lifestyle that we were doing but we were Trying to think there must be a way to do this better There must be a way for me to know when I can do things and when I cannot so that's why We sat together and then we just came up with with a week. Okay, So we just decided okay Let's this is a clear example guys Starting point we tested this idea Okay, We tested this idea What is this? This means that? The squares that are blue. It's my wife taking care of Eva and the squares that are white It's me taking care of Eva. Okay, So we tried this and this basically is every one Three hours. So every three hours we will switch Okay, So we tested this for a week and we hated it in our specific situation It didn't work because switching from being with Eva to being working For example three hours wasn't enough time to get in the groove of something If I want to go and do a bike ride or I want to go and play squash or I want to work On my course sometimes three hours is not enough time Okay because by the time that you start getting the concentration spot and Then you have to stop clean everything up and then go to your daughter and then you have to be at that And then you have to be working and then you have to be at that. It was too much transitioning. Okay, So from this we went to this and Then we decided so these are half days and then this is because she goes to daycare, Right? So she was going to daycare for this a week and Then we have her one day a week plus the weekend. So we started doing half days So when she goes to daycare One of us drops her off the other person picks her up and then weekends and and the Friday that we have her home If I do the morning 8 to 2 my wife does 2 to 8 p. M And then the next day we change and then we did this with the intention. Look What's this? What does it say there? That says yoga Okay, That says yoga. So what's that that says yoga? Look how many yoga's are here Yoga is something that she couldn't do before. Okay, Because she didn't know when she didn't know when she was available So we created the calendar and decided in a way that I could go and play squash She could go and do yoga and now we can start pursuing our activities. Okay, So I Am self-employed and my husband woman's full-time any suggestions in how to split a parenting with different schedules And how do you include feel family time? Adriana the best way To find an intentional calendar that works for both of you is to have a meeting together. It's For here each other's needs here each other's frustrations. Um, I negotiated I start at 830 and I finished at 530 So I was going there and every day my warmates were always there before me and they will stay there after me And I was just thinking What's happening here? Why are you guys always here before me? Like what's your time? Like what's your starting time? You know what they told me? Well, I don't know. I Everybody comes here at 7 so the boss is here at 7 So I guess we have to be here at 7 is like so you don't know when you start and finish. No Okay, Why don't we all do the same thing there? So everybody started showing up at 830 and we were living at 530 Okay, So that's an example of being intentional versus not being intentional another example Same person same department doing the same work One person says there is no way I can do this project here at the office. I have way too many Distractions I have way too much going on I need time for myself if you let me go home for three hours or for two days the bread will be completed then Guess what happened? He was the only one working from home. No one else was allowed Why because he took the time to? Go to the boss. He reflected he became aware of what was happening He became aware of a solution. That was a win-win situation He spoke with the boss and he talked and like do you want this project done by Thursday? Yes or no The boss said absolutely. Yes. Okay. See you on Thursday I'm not coming to the office the next two days and the boss say see ya. Okay, And then the prayer was completed Guess what happens the following weeks? Do you think anyone would argue with him anyone will question him if he stayed home? No, Because he was completing things more efficiently and guess what would have what was happening in his home What do you think was happening? I talked to him. How should they looking like I Am a morning person I get up at 5 a. M. And by 9 and done. I'm done I do the exact same world that I used to do at the office and then I have the day for me and I can Do whatever I want. So Yes, Imagine the different perspectives here and everything because he chose to be intentional and he chose to sell The new idea and make it a win-win situation. So guys if you are on a nine-to-five Be creative if you don't want to start your own business, That's okay. We don't have to all be self-employed. I Am self-employed because that was my decision. I want to have full control of my time hundred percent I don't want anyone to have control of my time and especially my creativity Because if that happens, I will not be able to create what I create I will not be able to create the courses that you see on inside time it and in other platforms You will not see them there. You understand what I'm trying to say here my daughter children these days guys children with toys Children behaviors when they have a hundred choice, They don't even see the toys they have because they are in a mountain How often do they play with them? How intentional are they spending time with each toy? How much do they appreciate them versus when you do a sampling you put everything away and you only have three display toys I do this with my daughter And I can see how she spends more time gets less distracted Enjoys and appreciates more Fewer options versus having a mountain of things Okay, So if we take the same principle to your calendar For those of you who have a DD and ADHD how likely are you to operate when the week looks like this? Versus when the week looks like you don't even have a week you don't even know what's happening like how would you operate? Would you like to see blank space or would you like to see 15 things in the next hour? So just think about those things Okay, These are strategies that we are investing time in and we are going to be able to do that Strategies that we are investing time in so that we can save a lot of time in the future Okay. Five hours here or five minutes or 50 minutes or whatever to save So if you invest five hours here I promise you that you will save at least ten hours a week every week for the rest of your life Things that you don't want to do things that are not meaningful to you Once you identify the things that you want to do and the things that you have to do The things that you have to do that's when you have to apply time management and become efficient at it Okay, I don't want you to be efficient at doing things that you don't care about I want you to let go of them first And then when you are just left with the things that you have to do You want to do and you have to do how can you make them as efficiently as possible? Okay, So that that's the philosophy it's not that you are going to apply time management to do your current week as efficiently as possible because I Guarantee you that there is a lot of stuff in there that no doesn't belong there. You don't want in there anymore Okay, So once you have let go of everything that you no longer want to do And you are left with the things that you have to do and the thing that you want to do That's when you apply the time management Okay, How can I do in my case? How can I do laundry the most efficient way? How can I cook the most efficient way? How can I clean my house the most efficient way? Okay, How can I make ends meet financially speaking the most efficient way? Okay, So listen to the questions. I'm not saying how can I do the best of my day? It's very specific I have to do dishes. I have to cook food. I have to take care of my daughter I have to clean my house. I have to make money I have to do I Want to spend family time. I want to play squash So all these things become my week and now you are starting to be efficient with the things that you care about Okay, So I don't want you to be efficient with things that you don't care about because then you are just wasting time Wasting time being efficient and wasting time doing things that you don't even want to do in the first place. So we try we do intentional dialogues every now and then when we need to and then we try to plan for family time to With our daughter and we try to do a lot of me time a lot of time with ourselves So she goes with her friend. She does her own thing She's alone with herself and then myself, Too yeah, They night sometimes it's nice and Unnecessary right because we forget ourselves as a couple it's very easy to just let life get on the way and And that what was happening. So we are trying to correct that that's why we Enroll in a couple's program and we are trying to do exercises. We do these creations that to be honest We haven't done one together for months. We normally do them together But now we are finding that finding time together. Sometimes it's difficult time where we both feel energetic Creative and it's very difficult to find that time with Eva because sometimes I'm on that state that she's not Sometimes she's on that state and I'm not and we are so unique, Right? So for example, If you decide that on Monday you have a three hour for work I will set the thing the task in my calendar for Monday and then that task will repeat every Monday. I Will do the same so that my week repeats itself automatically Okay I do that and then when I am in the current week and I notice that something that I don't like for example, I Put that I have lunch at 12, But I feel better if I that 1130 instead I will go to the lunch and I will tweak that time and I will repeat it moving forward So what happens here is that you have your idea we created in one week the following week You will reflect about how it was and then you can make any changes that you want And then that that new week is gonna carry forward Okay, But you can still go back and reflect about how it was before so that's the powerful way of doing it with with technology Okay, So please take the time to create Create your week.
