A warm welcome to this breathwork session.
My name is Emil and I will be your guide.
This is a very special session that will give you an opportunity to release things that you might have held onto for a little bit too long.
It can be emotions,
Energies,
Whatever there might be that is holding you back from just being that person you would like to be or being able to connect deeper into your true essence,
To your true purpose,
Your innate nature,
Your potential.
If you're new to breathwork,
Breathwork is when we start to take control over our breathing that happens about 20,
000 times per day.
By changing our breathing patterns,
We can access parts of ourselves that we're not perhaps able to really reach in our day-to-day life.
So if you're not already in a very comfortable place by now,
Go sure you're lying down on your back.
Just make it as comfortable as you possibly can right now.
Adjust anything that needs to be adjusted.
Just tend to that space for a few moments,
Making it as perfect as possible.
All right,
So let's take a deep breath in together when you are ready.
We breathe in and we're holding for just a second up here.
With a sigh of relief,
We just let whatever needs to come out,
We just let it out with a sigh and a sound.
As we do so,
We allow the tensions in our body to just melt away.
By doing so,
We also connect a little bit deeper into our body.
We start to feel the different sensations more clearly.
We also become aware of what our body is in touch with right now,
The mat beneath us,
The clothes,
The air.
We're feeling the mat beneath us or the couch holding us,
Supporting us,
Giving us that safe space to explore from.
So let's start by just scanning the body real quick.
See if there's any tension somewhere that we can let go of.
Oftentimes we tend to constrict the muscles in our face,
For instance.
Just go sure that all of your small muscles in the face is relaxed,
The jaw,
The forehead,
The lips and so on.
And then just give yourself a little scan,
Noticing anything that you can let go of right now.
We do so with ease and a neutral mind.
We're not judging ourselves or holding on to something like that.
We're allowing it to be there and then we're just allowing it also to be released.
Usually when we tap into our felt sense like this,
We start to notice how the energy is flowing,
How the energy is flowing in our bodies.
This energy has a lot of names.
In yoga they call it prana.
So let's stick to that.
See if you can sense how the prana is flowing within you right now.
That vital life force giving everything its life.
Our breath is the main vehicle for the prana to reach us.
So let's move our awareness now towards the breath.
Become that curious investigator,
Detective.
See how many details you can notice,
How many nuances you can notice about your breath right now.
Things you might never have even thought of before.
Perhaps you can distinguish a slight difference between the air that flows in and the air that leaves you.
Investigate that.
Beautiful.
Now go sure that you're completely relaxed in your lower torso,
Your abdomen,
Your navel area,
Your back.
That you're allowing the breath to come really deep into your belly.
So now as we take conscious control over the breath,
We're guiding the air really deep down.
By allowing the breath to come really down deep into the belly,
We start to use the diaphragm and we're filling the lungs up to its maximum capacity.
So we're drawing in the air deep down into the belly,
Making it expand almost like a balloon in all directions.
And when the belly is full,
We add another breath of air on top of that.
So we inhale twice.
And when we're full of air,
We allow the breath to fall out with a sigh of relief.
And when the out-breath is fully out,
We take the next inhalation deep into the belly.
When the belly is full,
We add a sip on top of that.
Then opening the mouth,
Allowing the breath to fall out all the way.
No pause in between.
We do circular connected breathing.
So we breathe in as soon as the breath is out.
Breathing in through the nose,
Or if that's difficult,
You can always use the mouth.
As long as you go sure that the breath is going really deep.
And the lungs,
They really expand on each inhale.
And then collapsing on the out-breath.
If it feels a little bit stiff,
There's some resistance there at this moment.
That's okay.
You're warming up and these big muscles,
They might feel like they haven't been used so much.
Like when you go to the gym and you're testing a new movement out,
You realize that you have muscles you had no idea they were there.
So allow that resistance to be part of your experience right now,
If there is resistance.
Just continuing to breathe circular connected with a double inhale,
Belly first,
Then chest.
Exhaling with a sigh of relief,
Adding a sound to the out-breath also.
And we're going to do a short breath retention,
Meaning we're holding the breath on the out-breath with empty lungs.
And we're not going to hold for that long,
About 30-40 seconds.
So now on your next exhale,
Empty the lungs completely,
Exhaling every last drop of air.
And taking a deep breath in,
And then allowing the breath to fall out once again,
And then holding where the breath naturally wants to stop.
No under-pressure,
No over-pressure in the lungs,
Just at zero point where we can hold for much longer.
So we're holding now with empty lungs.
Only halfway there.
Just a few more seconds.
If you're still holding now,
Take a deep breath in from the belly.
Exhaling with filled lungs,
Our 40 trillion cells now being recharged,
Rejuvenated.
And as we exhale,
We exhale with a big sigh of relief.
Amazing.
Great job.
Take a moment right here just to feel how that changed your experience.
What is alive within you right now.
Emotionally,
Physically,
Mentally.
Just connect to all aspects of your being.
And while we are here right now,
Deeply connected,
See if there's anything you can identify in your body,
In your emotional realm,
Or in your mental realm that you feel that you can release,
That you've been carrying for way too long.
That energy,
That stagnant energy that you can allow to be released,
To be recycled.
Whatever there might be in your experience that is holding you back,
Just allow that to be in the forefront.
As we're now drawing the breath once again deep into our bellies,
Expanding then the chest and then allowing the breath to fall out with a sigh of relief,
Creating space within with each out breath.
Breathing in again to the belly and then to the chest,
Allowing the breath to fall out.
And this thing that you feel that it's time to release from your being,
See if you can really visualize that this is leaving you,
You're allowing it to be released with each breath out.
Really picture how you're allowing it to leave you,
Creating more and more space within you,
Making you lighter.
Your clarity is growing.
Really focus on the out breath,
Allowing it to be full without pushing it out,
Just allow it to drop out.
Adding that sound if that feels good.
In your in breath,
You can,
If you want,
Visualize how this emotion or whatever it might be,
Just feel how it's sort of centering somewhere around the heart.
You're collecting it before you release it.
You're gathering all of that that you feel it's time to let go of around the heart area.
You're collecting it like a bundle of energy.
And then on the out breath,
You let it out,
You release it,
Allowing that stuck energy to be transformed into something else outside of you.
Breathing in,
Collecting the energy around the heart.
On the out breath,
Allowing it to leave you.
With each out breath,
You become lighter.
You create more spaciousness within.
Space is growing with each out breath.
Notice that is untapped potential that you can create into whatever you want.
We are creators of our own experience.
We decide.
Collecting once again everything you want to release,
Just bundle it up around the heart.
And then allow it to be released on the next out breath.
Just continue to breathe like this.
In breath,
Collecting.
Out breath,
Letting go.
You become lighter.
You're almost weightless by now.
As more and more space is being expanded within,
We are able to come closer to who we really are,
Our true nature,
Our purpose,
Why we are here on this earth at this very moment.
In a little short moment,
I'm going to count down from three to zero.
On zero,
We release everything out on the next exhalation.
Before that,
Go sure you really take the opportunity to release everything that is holding you back.
And in three,
Two,
One.
On your next exhale,
Exhale everything out.
Really squeeze the belly towards the spine.
And then take a deep,
Deep breath in.
Holding the breath with filled lungs on the top.
And here we're not tensing up.
We're still relaxed.
Just holding the breath now with as little effort as possible.
We're aiming for 40 seconds.
And now let go slowly of the breath,
Holding it again down there on the bottom with empty lungs.
And again,
We find the sweet spot,
The zero point,
Holding it right there.
Holding for just 10 more seconds.
And now drawing in a big inhale from the belly,
Holding again on the top.
Holding for just 10 more seconds.
And now allowing that big breath to be released.
Softening here,
Just allowing the body to do what it wants,
If it wants to breathe or if it wants to just stay without breathing.
We're letting go now of the conscious control over the breath.
Just giving ourself permission to stay right where we are for just a few more minutes.
And if you want,
You can communicate the following to yourself.
I allow whatever needs to be released to leave me.
I allow whatever needs to be released to leave me.
I know my deepest purpose.
I know my deepest purpose.
Nothing is holding me back.
Nothing is holding me back.
I let go of any fear I'm holding.
I let go of any fear I'm holding.
I am complete.
I am complete.
We can now place one or two hands on our heart,
Showing ourselves gratitude for showing up,
For doing this session,
Giving that to yourself.
And I thank you for letting me guide you into your own power.
And I hope to see you soon again.
