You You Hello insight timer community and welcome to the sleep aid meditation This is an imaginative guided meditation with an emphasis on gently getting in touch with a perception that can only come from outside this planet or within you It's going to be a way to drift into sleep while mindfully connecting with wondrous explorations As always it's a privilege to be here with you on inside timer For full effect I highly recommend you listen lying down where you expect to sleep This will allow you to receive my instructions on a deeper level as you peacefully drift into a deep sleep It suddenly struck me that that tiny pea pretty and blue was the earth I Put up my thumb and shut one eye and my thumb blotted out the planet earth I Didn't feel like a giant.

I felt very very small This quote is by Neil Armstrong Breathe deeply and exhale completely Nice easy deep breaths Feel the body beginning to unwind and loosen up Notice it sinking deeply into the bedding beneath you And as you inhale Imagine that air that you're breathing moving into every part of your lungs and Down into the depth of your belly Expanding it full and rich with air And as you exhale contract your belly pulling it into the spine and emptying it completely Each exhalation is preparation for an even deeper more relaxing breath Inhale pulling air in through the lungs down into the belly deeper and deeper Expanding powerfully yet gently Holding that breath for just a moment And then release Contracting the muscles Expelling the air into the belly reaches the spine Complete deep breaths in And out In and out In And out In And out In And out In And out In And out In In So imagine you're waking up in a spacecraft.

You're in a pod.

It's a very comfy bed that you've been sleeping in for a long time.

A few weeks.

You're an astronaut and you've been on a mission to explore another planet in the solar system with a few other members of your team.

Upon awakening from the cryogenic slumber,

You feel a deep sense of peace overcome your senses.

Your skin lights up.

Your insides feel warm.

You're elated mentally and you feel a general sense of well-being and peace come over you.

You remember that you're on your way back home to planet Earth and everything is safe and on target to arrive safely.

You look over and see the other pods of your coworkers.

You look down at your own hands and they are vibrant,

Magical,

And amazing to look at.

You start rubbing them together to create some friction.

You start to feel the heat being generated and it's a nice contrast to the cool,

Controlled air of your pod.

You then place the warm palms of your hands over your closed eyes and it feels good.

The idea of being home again fills you with a sense of joy and serenity.

Things will undoubtedly be a bit the same,

But slightly changed of course.

And you think to yourself,

How fantastic it will be to see everyone you have strong connections with,

To eat a warm meal out of the oven,

To be served a seat in a restaurant,

To feel sunlight in open air,

To have full privacy again,

Etc.

And you think to yourself,

How fantastic it will be to be home again.

And you think to yourself,

How fantastic it will be to be home again.

The consistent sound of debris brushing off the windows of the spacecraft reminds you that sitting at home on a rainy day with your partner was so nice,

Listening to the rain against the window.

You recall a distant memory of what it was like in summer and it dawns upon you that you'll be arriving back home in late spring.

It will be marvelous to see so many familiar faces and to perhaps have a barbecue with them.

You're overcome by a sense of gratitude for many,

Many things.

You're overcome by a sense of gratitude for many,

Many things.

You're overcome by a sense of gratitude for many,

Many things.

A video begins to play for you in your pod.

It must have picked up your heart rate fluctuation and eye movement.

It appears to be a greeting from your director back home on Earth.

He left it for you for when you woke up in your pod and he's a jovial kind of fella and he has a pleasant voice.

He's congratulating you on your journey and announcing that your vital signs are regular and you appear to be in excellent shape.

The message tails off,

Introducing a special message from your older sibling who has informed you about their first baby arriving during their last cryogenic slumber and they can't wait to see you again.

You're now being updated on the weather forecast for where you'll be landing and suddenly you see this distant,

Round,

Blue object floating in an endless sea of blackness.

It looks so beautiful just sitting there in space.

You check your location on the screen on the side of your pod and it confirms that the planet ahead is indeed Earth.

How beautiful is this sight?

Everything you've ever known or experienced aside from in this spacecraft has happened here.

And as you move closer and closer,

It gets a little bit bigger and bigger.

Over the next few minutes as you just take it all in,

All the wonder,

All of the possibilities,

All of the amazement of what you see out of your window.

Breathing in and breathing out.

Filling up with clean air.

Releasing and relaxing just a bit more.

Taking in this moment of your life.

Letting go of any tension being stored in the body or mind.

Letting go of any tension being stored in the body or mind.

Letting go of any tension being stored in the body or mind.

More debris ricochets off your window.

A comet very far away hurtles into the blackness,

Becoming fainter and fainter until gone.

The blackness outside of your pod is so rich and it feels endless.

Stars and suns from other galaxies glowing like gently simmering embers of a fire amidst the canvas of black.

As you breathe calmly and fully,

Feeling your lungs and abdomen rise and fall with each breathing cycle.

You take a moment to soak up the experience of being so far away from home,

Surrounded in absolute blackness,

Steadily moving towards your destination,

Able to smile and relax in a comfortable pod.

You look out your window again and see that beautiful brown and blue planet a little bit bigger now.

You can make out a few continents just,

And the planet is encapsulated by a soft bluish ring.

It's one of the most beautiful sights you've ever seen,

Realizing how everything you know is located right there on this planet.

You take another moment to be grateful for everything that has come before you and contributed in some way to your life,

The way it is,

And the way it allowed you to receive this opportunity to fly into space,

To explore the unexplored.

You start to feel a pleasant feeling within your body,

Starting at the entrance of the nostrils and then spreading down your airways and into your tummy.

It travels along your spine while simultaneously building at the base of your spine.

It feels as if there's a warmth to it,

And it moves throughout your whole body,

Feeling wonderful to breathe this extra clean air and sense all the wonderful things with the different instruments of perception.

Your sight,

Your taste,

Your smell,

Your touch,

Your boundless nature beyond the psychological and physical bodies.

You are eternal.

You are a reflection of the cosmos.

You are endless.

You have no beginning nor end.

You are energy.

You are a piece of the universe that can be neither created nor destroyed.

You are not limited by your humanly identity.

You are a part of the whole.

You are no different than your colleagues.

You are made of the same matter that makes up the debris just outside your window.

You are a product of the sun.

You are affected by the moon.

You have a physical body,

But this does not define you.

You suddenly feel your physical body evaporate into thin air,

Dispersing into a million,

Billion,

Trillion,

Bazillion particles and into the deep space of the universe.

The pod,

The colleagues,

The control center,

The camera crew,

The technicalities of entering into the different layers of the atmosphere of Earth.

Your clothes,

Your parents,

Your problems,

Your anxiety,

Everything falls away.

Everything is absorbed into the vastness of space that blankets and surrounds our precious planet Earth.

Like one giant eye that sees and is a part of everything that ever was and is yet to be,

You continue expanding.

You continue diversifying.

You continue including.

You continue capturing.

You continue absorbing.

You continue releasing.

You continue becoming.

You continue because you are eternal.

Beyond the mind,

Beyond the physical,

You are continuing.

You continue your growth.

You continue to be the same as always.

You You You You You You You You You You You You You You You
