Hello,

Inside Timer community and welcome to this emotional freedom meditation.

My name is Elliot and I'm a meditation instructor currently in Melbourne,

Australia.

It's a privilege to be here with you on Inside Timer.

Let's find a quiet place to sit and do what you can to prevent distractions.

Settle into a cross-legged posture for this meditation with your hands open facing upward.

Or if you prefer to lie down you can make sure that your head is supported and your hands are at your sides with palms facing up.

If choosing a different posture ensure that relaxation and alertness are considered and try to maintain a straight back with its natural curves.

With the face slightly upturned allow your focus to rest between the eyebrows.

Then if you wish gently close the eyes and mouth leaving a space between the teeth and lips.

Feel your body.

Feel your body breathing.

Feel the breath breathing you.

Feel every cell in your body.

Feel the overall vibration of your entire body.

What do you feel like?

What quality of vibration are you picking up on?

Scan your body up and down.

Where do you feel tension?

Where do you feel joy?

Where do you feel pain?

Where do you feel at ease?

Where do you feel stiff?

Where do you feel tingling?

Where there is any sensation of unpleasantness send some loving attention to that particular part of the body and direct the breath into it using your body to feel it in your imagination to see it in your third eye.

Inhale and mentally repeat.

I choose love and light and liberation.

Exhale and mentally repeat.

I let go of that which obstructs my happiness.

Inhale and mentally repeat.

I choose love and light and liberation.

Exhale and mentally repeat.

We all come to moments in our lives where we have to decide what is important.

We can become enslaved by our own doing.

Our actions and thoughts and emotional landscape all become our place that we greet life from and if we get entangled with them we don't get to go very far from them and we suffer.

To avoid our troubled aloneness we talk.

We create a story to distract us from the real thing.

From what's happening.

From the pain.

You are presence.

You are now.

You are awareness.

You are a reflection of the universe.

Everything you will ever need and know is already built into your body.

We just have to be still and quiet to be it.

If you want to be totally free you must be able to handle freedom.

If we have not cultivated a certain amount of perception and stability we will suffer because we have attachments holding us back.

For clarity and strength visualize your spirit as an orb of light.

Choose whatever color that correlates with what you want to feel like.

Your spirit slightly expands upon the inhale and then shrinks upon the exhale.

As you breathe in you feel the orb of light expanding and as you exhale you feel the orb of light contracting.

Even though that you are represented as light you are shapeless,

Boundless,

Interwoven with the cosmos.

Your mind appears nearby as a glowing brain.

Just there.

A part of you.

Your peaceful body appears nearby just as you are right now.

Just there,

A part of you.

As you continue to breathe you notice how the mind and body are steadily moving further away from the orb of light.

You are radiating positive energy.

Upon each inhale you are generating a sweetness of emotion,

Love,

Interconnected with the universe.

Creating peaceful,

Joyful space around you from within.

Blissfully alone yet intimately connected in the vastness of space.

In the vastness of the universe.

You are alone now yet you are connected with everything there ever was,

Will be,

And is.

You are alone now but you can find happiness here because you have nothing to fear.

You are tremendous potential at your core.

And while there have been faults along the journey,

The spirit,

The part of us that is eternal,

Will always be ready for blissfulness in aloneness.

It is only our mind and body that can distract us with pain.

Make friends with your pain and choose to go forward in light.

Breathe in,

Accepting your pain as the teacher.

Inhale and let go of all the darkness,

Doubt,

And shame.

Breathe in,

Accepting the way things are just as they are.

Inhale and be gentle towards yourself as you go forward,

Letting go.

We are choosing to rise above all that which weighs us down.

We breathe in,

Trusting life and becoming available to the grace of aloneness.

Sweet silence.

Nourishing space.

Loving heart.

We observe the orb of light in the vastness of space and there is a particular joy in this existing.

In being with the moment,

Unobstructed,

Just the way it is.

Whether someone is here or not does not make a difference.

Gently expanding.

Softly contracting.

Breathing in courage.

Breathing out resistance.

Breathing in strength.

Breathing out distractions.

Nourishing space.

In this observing.

In being with the moment,

Unobstructed,

Just the way it is.

You are enough.

You are love.

You are expansive.

You are the cosmos.

You are a reflection of the universe.

Gently expanding.

Softly contracting.

Breathing in courage.

Breathing out resistance.

Breathing in strength.

Breathing out distractions.

To be free is to embrace the chaos and live outside the process of reasoning.

Your imagination does not limit you.

It should serve your highest potential.

The glowing brain has moved so far away.

The mind has become so quiet.

So small.

To be free is to master the physical realm so that the spiritual can be reached and enriched.

Your memory does not limit you.

It serves your emotional intelligence.

The body has moved so far away.

The body has become so quiet.

So small.

A new emotion has emerged from within you.

A new thought pattern has been established.

Provide your availability to grace now.

Be willing to let go of the self.

Configure a new setting.

Reset the body.

Reset the mind.

Reset the emotional landscape for a new perception of life.

You are one with everything.

You are one with everything.

We take control of the mind by getting in touch with our aloneness through meditation.

We must know that our minds can either be our worst enemy or best friend.

Let go of the constraints of the past and define yourself with this eternal presence.

Allow the love you have for yourself to take over your body.

Allow this healing energy to radiate in every cell of the body.

Only allowing and choosing love in our heart.

Only holding onto unconditional love for all life.

Love is the most healing,

Powerful energy there is.

It's not that we reject or ignore the nasty stuff.

We accept it and we cultivate compassion to forgive and be transformed through love.

Allowing the universal power of love to take over the body to restore inner strength.

Breathe out all the unsettled energy.

Breathing in love and strength.

Breathing in courage.

Breathing out resistance.

Breathing in strength.

Breathing out distractions.

Detoxify your body from any energy that no longer serves you.

Gently expanding.

Gently contracting.

Gently expanding.

The most important kind of freedom is to be what you really are.

You trade in your reality for a role.

You trade in your sense for an act.

You give up your ability to feel and in exchange put on a mask.

There can't be any large scale revolution until there's a personal revolution on an individual level.

It's got to happen inside first.

Your experience is no more determined by what you have or don't have.

It's not determined by that.

Once your way of being is not determined by anything outside of you,

Then there's no such thing as loneliness.

Whether you like it or don't like it,

Within this body you're always alone.

If you don't learn how to handle this aloneness,

Life will feel lonely.

This is the most beautiful life.

In bringing this meditation to a close,

Come back to a full awareness of the body,

Recognizing that awareness contains everything we are.

Gently take a long,

Slow,

Deep breath in and breathe out.

Take your own time and slowly opening the eyes once again and see if you can take this quality of awareness,

Of love,

Of connection with you into your day and into your life.
