Welcome.
My name is Elliot and I'll be your guide for this meditation.
This is a meditation focused on acceptance.
It has been designed to offer you a way to feel empowered and let go of what is no longer needed.
You will be using the breath and mantras as tools to gently cultivate your space for acceptance.
Settle into a cross-legged posture with your hands open facing upward.
Maintain a straight back with its natural curves.
Sit with your face slightly upturned and allow your focus to shift between your eyebrows.
Then gently close the eyes and mouth.
Checking in with the body.
The breath is relaxed and natural.
And you're just noticing how the body is in this present moment.
Allow your awareness to gather around the body.
Notice any physical sensations that can arise.
Lightness,
Heaviness,
Movement,
Contact,
Pressure,
Relaxation,
Relaxation.
Lightness,
Heaviness,
Movement,
Contact,
Pressure,
Restfulness,
Restlessness,
Temperature,
Moisture,
Buzzing or tingling.
And without trying to change or alter anything,
Just observe the body and mind.
When a sensation,
Thought or emotion arises,
Simply acknowledge it and return to the breath.
Let the breath be your anchor.

Within this intention to release and go within,
We know that we need a compass.
We know that we need to discern what is important from that which does not serve our ability to connect with ourselves.
Because we know that the storm outside is trying to muddle our navigation.
But we also know that being here and now,
Going within,
Is our doing,
And we are exerting ourselves to be better and rise above the storm.
We can instantly raise our energy and state of being into bliss if we deeply involve our body and mind with how sweet it is to be alive.
Not playing the victim,
Attending to our desires to be free and fulfilled,
And sharing this joy.
Can you taste how sweet it is to just be alive right now?

Moving into a state of acceptance is a shift in our perspective of control.
It is a shift from thinking that something is happening to us to realizing that something is just happening.
We don't need to point any fingers.
We just need to go within to find ourselves.
Breathe in and say to yourself,
I am all I need to begin the journey of acceptance.
And on the exhale,
Say,
I surrender my desire to be in control of everything.
Breathing in,

Align with the entirety of nature and feel the roar of creation move immensely,

And ferociously like a sun blazing through you into the world.
And bringing this meditation to a close,
Come back to a full awareness of the body.
Bring your awareness back to the space around you.
And when you're ready,
Gently open your eyes.
Once again,
Take in your surroundings and re-engage with the day.
See if you can take this quality of awareness and acceptance with you into your day,
Into your night,
Into your life as it unfolds,
Moment by moment.
