Welcome to the StressFit Meditation.
This recording is part of the Becoming Meditation Series exclusive to StressFit.
Find a comfortable position for this meditation.
Maintain a straight back with its natural curves.
And then quietly and gently close your eyes and mouth.
Before we begin,
It's important to remind ourselves that the beginner to meditation may not realize that they were once already a master of it.
Sometime during the course of your life,
You experienced meditation.
Because meditation is not something that you do.
It's not an act.
It's not something you learn.
It is a certain quality of being alive.
Before we were programmed and filled with all the silly nonsense of this world,
We were in touch with a much different quality of life and what it is to be alive.
So with learning to meditate,
We're truly just reminding ourselves of our own inherent intelligence,
Shedding the layers that no longer serve us,
And delivering ourselves to a blissful condition where life can deeply touch us again and we feel full of joy,
Gratitude,
And wonder.
Reaching a meditative state is not something that one does,
But it is something that one becomes.
You can become blissful if you set the right conditions within yourself.
Meditation is about cultivating the right foundation in order to experience life in a meditative state.
You can try this guided meditation in any space you're comfortable in and at any time you wish.
Within 10 minutes,
You'll feel refreshed,
Relaxed,
And capable of handling day-to-day life situations.
Begin by becoming aware of the body,
Whether you're standing,
Sitting,
Or lying down.
The breath is relaxed and natural,
And you're just noticing how the body is in this present moment.
Take a breath of air and then let it out.
Repeat this consciously a few more times.
Allow the body to relax and simply notice the sensations that are here as you stop to feel the x-rays and cellphone boost to describe the prayer,
The People often ask,
How do you meditate?
Beginners or people who don't truly understand meditation may think that you must feel a particular way,
Look for something blissful,
Shut up the mind,
Don't fall asleep,
Or wonder what must be added in order to successfully meditate or reach a meditative state.
But meditation is not something you do.
You can become meditation,
But you cannot do it.
You cannot obtain meditation.
Meditation will obtain you when the conditions are right.
If you want flowers in the garden,
You're not going to think flowers.
You're going to think soil,
Water,
Fertilizer,
Sunlight.
You think of setting up the right conditions for nature to take place,
For life to blossom.
If you want to become meditative,
If you want the sweet fragrance of life to fill your existence,
Then you have to cultivate your body,
Mind,
Emotions,
And energy to a certain level of maturity.
Then meditation will blossom by itself.
Without trying to do anything,
Be sure that you are in a comfortable position still.
Notice how breathing comes naturally.
Being alive comes naturally.
You don't have to do anything for this to happen.
It is already set up for you.
Now focus on the movement of the breath.
From the beginning of the inhalation to the end of the exhalation,
And then in between them.
Be present for every little moment of the breath cycle and attempt to stay there,
Just observing,
Simply noticing,
Just being.
If you want the fragrance of your life to be sweet and full of exuberance,
Then you can create the right conditions for it to blossom.
You prepare the soil with nutrients.
You prepare the water regularly.
You prepare the sunlight by removing weeds.
When you prepare the atmosphere with spring,
Fragrance will blossom.
If you sit there and try to meditate,
It's not going to happen.
If you create the necessary conditions in your body,
Mind,
Emotion,
And energy,
Then meditation must blossom.
Meditation is not going somewhere.
It's a welcome home party.
It's coming back to your original nature.
As you continue to breathe gently and naturally,
Allow all the energy that you hold onto as the desire to meditate or the desire to be relaxed,
Happy,
Blissful,
Or whatever,
And just let it go.
Just let it slide.
Allow yourself to dismiss all of the pressure and stress and effort of trying to do something to achieve something in this space.
Simply focus your attention on the breath and being still.
Give yourself permission to do nothing right now and feel yourself generating a sensation of openness,
Lightness,
And effortlessness within the body.
You are cultivating an atmosphere for meditation to happen,
To blossom,
To be.
Just breathe and the fragrance of life will enter and invigorate you.
We all must start where we currently are.
This is the training of simplifying the experience and allowing a meditative state to take over you.
To close this meditation,
Take three deep breaths and notice how open and relaxed you feel.
As you leave this space,
Try to maintain this level of connection with your breath.
Namaste.
