Ellen J. Langer is the author of 12 books and more than two hundred research articles, including the international bestseller Mindfulness; The Power of Mindful Learning; On Becoming An Artist, and Counterclockwise: Mindful Health and the Power of Possibility. Her newest book is The Mindful Body: Thinking our way to chronic health. Among other numerous awards and honors, she is the recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship, four Distinguished Scientist Awards, and the Liberty Science Genius Award. A member of the psychology department at Harvard University and a gallery exhibiting painter, she lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
