Take three deep breaths in through the nose,
Feeling the belly rise and gently exhale all the air out.
Repeat two times.
Gently closing your eyes,
Sitting up straight or lying down.
Gently scan the body for any discomfort or tension,
Sending a deep breath to anywhere there is some,
Becoming aware of that part softening,
Softening,
Relaxing,
Relaxing.
Feel your muscles soften from head to foot.
Feeling aware of your body getting heavier and heavier,
Your eyelids getting heavier and heavier.
Each breath you take helping you to become more and more relaxed.
Just listening to the sound of my voice,
The sound of my voice helping you to feel calmer,
More relaxed,
More at peace.
Noticing your body so relaxed now,
Allowing yourself to relax mentally more and more every breath helping you to feel calmer and in a few moments I'm going to help you relax more and more counting down from 10 to 1.
With each number I count you will become more and more relaxed.
Each number I count from 10 down to 1 will help you to feel calmer and calmer.

Notice what it is about this child that makes you understand the healing it's craving.
Honder what brings the child to you in this moment and importantly what is it that this child needs from you in this moment.
You might like to slowly get closer to this child,
To kneel down,
Be at the same level as this child.
What do you intuitively know this child is seeking from you in this moment?
Offer what you know is needed now,
Whether it be words,
A nurturing touch,
A symbolic gift.
What is it this child needs to know that they are enough,
That they are valued,
That they mean something to someone?
Ask this child what it is they want if you are unsure.
Give this child a voice that they might not have had in the past.
After establishing what it is that the child seeks from you.
There is a chance that you seek something from this child.
Do you have any questions for this child that relates to the adult you?
This child is divine spirit and has bountiful amounts of both innocence and wisdom.
Perhaps he or she would like to share some of that with you now.
Become aware of the feelings that are provoked from your interaction with your inner child.
If there is anything else you would like to communicate or an action you would like to take,
Now is the time to do so.
You might like to set an intention or make a promise to your inner child in a way that shows you have acknowledged and will continue to honor the inner child's existence.
Now in your conscious life can you continue to listen,
Honor,
Nurture and guide this inner child?
What commitment could you make to ensure that this inner child continues to feel held,
Safe,
Heard and valued?
I'm going to count down from 10 to 1 and you're going to come out of this deep relaxation,
Returning to the room,

Feeling relaxed and hopefully having gained some insight into your inner child.
I would highly recommend writing down anything that might have come to you in that hypnotic trance,
Particularly anything that could be turned into something of an affirmation or something that you can use in moments of being triggered,
Feeling a sense of regression or powerlessness or in fact just writing down what your inner child told you or gave you or showed you and putting it somewhere that you're going to see it regularly.
You are enough just as you are.
