So beginning with just one deep breath in,

One deep breath out through the mouth,

And in this practice we'll do some body,

Some breath,

And then a lot of self-compassion.

So begin by letting the body find stillness.

This having a body is such an endless exploration,

Feeling the body's sensations,

Feeling the eyelids gently resting,

Feeling the forehead gently resting,

Feeling the jaw and the chin and the lips and the neck all resting,

Feeling gravity pull down the legs and the hips,

Feeling how gravity cradles your body,

And feeling the warmth or the coolness of the air that is gently touching your body,

And the contact that clothes is making with your body.

And feel this ever-moving,

Ever-dynamic breath.

Begin by observing the body and the breath with eyes of the heart,

With a kind of welcoming.

Feeling supported and cradled and very much alive,

Notice this rising and falling of the breath,

And now notice the sweetness of observing the breath,

The pleasure of observing the breath,

This coming,

This going,

Just being with the breath,

Just you and the breath,

You and your heart,

You and this ever-changing present moment.

And now put a hand on your heart,

Finding that warmth,

That beating,

Thanking your heart,

And we'll offer some self-compassion.

May I accept myself as I am.

May I accept myself just as I am.

My mind as it is.

My feelings as they are.

My heart as it is.

May I accept my emotional self just as it is.

And may I accept my physical self.

May I do everything I can for my own happiness,

My own freedom,

Out of compassion for myself and others.

And may everything I do come from awareness of myself as I am,

And my own compassion and self-compassion.

May I give myself warmth,

Non-judgment.

And may my connection to my body,

To my emotions,

Become deeper each day.

May I listen to myself,

And may I find joy in connecting with myself.

And when I don't,

May I forgive myself unconditionally.

And may I forgive all others unconditionally.

May I never pretend.

And may I be fully alive and feel each moment with gratitude.

May I know what my wishes are.

May I make my wishes come true.

And thank yourself for having done this practice of connecting to the body,

Connecting to the breath,

And kindness to yourself,

Saying thank you.
