Wholeness is where you can discover health, healing, peace & ease. But first, you have to know and embody the different facets of wholeness... In this Wholeness Exercise. you are guided through the four directions based on "The Nature Map of the Human Psyche" by Bill Plotkin. After this exercise, you will conceptually understand the wholeness and start to feel it in your body, so you can live this wholeness and share it with the world. You you Welcome my friends to understanding wholeness Today we will be diving in learning about wholeness what it is and how we can Embody it how we can take it forward into our lives So that we can find more joy and have more ease and tranquility in our days you So as we begin I encourage you to find a comfortable seat Sitting up Nice and tall if that's available to you,

And if not you can find another body position that feels right for you in this moment But something that allows for you to stay alert and aware I will be walking us through the four directions Starting in the east so I encourage you to tune into which direction is East and I recommend that you have some space around where you are seated So that you can face each direction as I walk us through these different facets of Wholeness this Wholeness model is based on a Map that a mentor of mine named Bill Plotkin created Called the nature map of the human psyche When we have a map of wholeness it gives us somewhere to go It's not just this hypothetical idea of something It's actually grounded and rooted in many teachings for thousands of years And of course in our mother nature Mother nature is the most divine form of wholeness and she teaches us how to embody this in every moment So we'll take a lesson from her today As we start to understand the nature of our mother nature We will be able to see the nature of our mother nature As we start to understand this concept So start facing east letting yourself sit So that you're sitting in the direction of east and when you get there I Encourage you to place your hands on your knees sitting up nice and tall And thinking about what we know about the east The east is the way of the sunrise The new dawn The new dawn That moment where night turns to day and the sun comes up again Bringing light upon the earth I invite you to feel in your body the experience of a new day Perhaps there's dew on the grass The birds are alive chirping saying good morning And most of us are starting to awaken from a slumber The east is the way of the innocent one The one with fresh eyes who's never seen this day just before The one with the fresh eyes who's never seen this day just before Who's never seen this day just as it is because it's new In the east we remember the beginner's mind Wow look at how beautiful it is this new fresh day There's an innocence and a freshness with the east There's also a sage-like quality to the east Sage meaning a sage human who's grounded and wise You know when you look at someone and you think wow they know something But they never say that they know something they just embody that they have wisdom This is the east The east also has connection to the sacred fool and the trickster The parts of us that doesn't take life too seriously and can laugh and play and knows that it's all just a cosmic joke anyway The one that can laugh in the challenge and can trust that this is exactly what's supposed to be coming up with the trickster self The trickster self that can see differently and know differently with the lightness of heart Become thinking the east Now I invite you to shift your direction so that you are facing the south So go ahead and rotate your body So you can face and feel the experience of the south The south is the middle of the day It's getting warmer And everything is in full swing The south is the summer Everything is alive and blooming And there's some heat that we can feel The south is the way of the wild indigenous one The wild one within us who knows that we are an animal Of course we are an animal,

We are a human animal And from the south we get to embody and literally breathe into these bodies that we have So we can feel more,

So we can hear more,

We are completely enveloped in our senses in the south So I encourage you to feel your hands on your body Feel your heart beat The south,

When we say indigenous,

Indigenous meaning we belong here on the planet,

That this is our home This is where we are supposed to be because we are here In the south we are in our true wild nature,

The essence of this human body that is sensual and sexual and full of pleasure Because we're right here feeling the air kiss our skin Feeling the breath move in and out of our bodies There's an undomestication that is alive when we let our south be in its wholeness We thank our south Please shift your body to the west Letting yourself take a few breaths with this direction The west is the autumn,

The fall,

The leaves are starting to change colors And there's a pull that we have as the weather starts to change Where the sun is going down And as the sun goes down we notice that darkness is coming That shadows are starting to shift and become longer The west is the guide to the soul This part of us that knows contemplation That is interested in wondering and tuning into our imagination about what lies beyond this day to day world The west is our inner muse,

It's the one who places her hand and says come follow me And when you hear this there's a part of you that says yes I would like to go I'm alert I'm called to going but I'm also terrified What am I going to find in the darkness,

In the shadows?

Lots of deep purples and blues and greys are present here in the west The west reminds us of our true intention and our true purpose as a collective species in this planet It's this enema,

This animus bringing us into our femininity and our masculinity And into the sensuality of what is left beyond our imagination Thinking the west Finally I invite you to face the north The north is the nurturing generative adult who lives in us The north is the way of the winter,

It's cold The earth is going to sleep,

Taking a rest,

Dying Darkness is everywhere And within the darkness there is still a sense of nurture,

Of love It's the part of us that actually knows how to be an adult and not the typical adult because of a certain age but an adult Because of the wholeness that we embody,

It's this ever present heart centered loving human who is at our core Nurturing generative adult,

Generative,

Giving,

Loving,

Caring,

Offering It's this part of us that just innately knows how to care for ourselves and how to care unconditionally for others We're so thankful to our north Thank you north As we get ready to close this wholeness exercise I encourage you to take a few deep breaths letting your breath fill your whole body Feel your east,

The innocent sage,

Trickster,

Fool And your south,

Your wild indigenous one Your west,

The guide to the soul,

The inner beloved,

The muse,

The animus and the enema And your north,

This part of you who knows how to love with nurture Generating compassion with every breath Breathe in your wholeness here I encourage you to take this wholeness practice with you in your life Share it with those who you meet When we start embodying wholeness the world starts to see what's possible Ease and healing and health for all beings to live happy and free in this life Thank you for your practice and for your awareness and for your breath Take good care my friends We'll see you again soon Thank you My name is Eleanor Medina and I am a guide to wholeness To learn more about wholeness you can visit themacarandamethod.
