Hello,

Welcome to a meditation where we simply breathe in and focus on this word,

Enough.

A wonderful teacher of ours,

I'm sure many of you,

Your teachers as well,

Brene Brown,

Has a beautiful quote that we will be meditating with today,

And she says,

For me,

The opposite of scarcity is not abundance,

It's enough.

So find yourself in a comfortable position,

And if it feels good to you,

You can close your eyes or simply soften your gaze and take a deep breath in through the nose,

And exhale slowly out the mouth,

Breathing,

Feeling the rhythm of the breath with each inhale,

And with each exhale,

Softening any tension in the body,

And notice how in this moment,

There's enough.

What is there enough of?

What can you notice that you have enough of right now?

As you breathe,

Recognize that sufficiency is not found in excess,

But in the simple acknowledgement of having what we need.

Perhaps you notice that you have enough air to breathe.

Perhaps you notice that you have enough food to eat.

Perhaps you notice what the earth shares as a generous provider of life.

Whenever I notice I'm coming into the trance of scarcity,

This made up story that there's not enough,

I go outside and connect with the earth.

And perhaps right now you can picture her landscapes and intricate ecosystems,

Understanding that the earth gives enough for us all when we take enough.

And when we give enough,

We can't take more than we need,

Or we can,

But then what does that leave for all beings?

We are a part of the harmonious flow,

And we're in that harmony when we remember and recognize that there's enough.

Perhaps you envision a gentle stream of energy circulating through your body right now.

As you inhale,

Receiving this essence of enough,

All that is necessary for wellbeing.

And then exhale releases any tension of resistance.

You give and you receive enough.

We all give and receive enough.

For the last few moments of this meditation,

Perhaps you would like to allow for your eyes to open or keep them closed,

Whatever feels best to you,

And look around you wherever you are and see if you can offer gratitude for everything that you see.

I'm grateful for my cactuses,

For my armchair,

For my coffee cup,

For my lamp,

For my cat,

For my breath,

For my singing bowl.

What do you see that you're grateful for?

Let that resonance dance in your body.

The opposite of scarcity is not abundance.

It is enough.

May you let this phrase resonate,

May we all let it resonate as we bring our awareness back to the moment,

Carrying this wisdom through us,

With us,

Into our day.

And may we operate in our lives from this place,

Knowing that we are and there is enough for us all.

Thank you,

See you next time.
