Welcome to Zen parables with Ekta.

The essence of Zen lies in helping you move from concepts,

Beliefs,

Ideas,

Perceptions,

Views to a state of no mind,

A state of pure awareness,

A state beyond.

The one who is stuck in concepts cannot experience that which is beyond.

One must let go of words to experience silence.

When I narrate the parable to you and it evokes thoughts within you,

Know that the thought is not your thought.

It is just a thought.

Please engage from the thoughts and just be,

Just be,

Just be.

Today's parable is called Not Dead Yet.

An emperor asked a Zen master,

What happens to a man of enlightenment after death?

So the master replied,

How should I know?

The emperor said,

Because you are a Zen master.

So the master said,

Yes,

Definitely,

But I am not a dead one.

Not dead yet.

Not dead yet.

This is exactly what I needed to hear today. It is good to remember we needn't ruminate on death or dying. It is especially good for anyone struggling with chronic illness like diabetes (any type), celiac, MS, or even terminal illness. We are not dead yet. Thank you.
