Hi my friend,

Arrive slowly here,

Feel yourself transition out of what just happened and into right here,

Right now Let yourself soften,

Closing your eyes if that feels safe Follow your breath in,

Release it,

Feel your entire face relax Release the tension in your jaw,

Allow your shoulders and your arms to feel heavy Right here,

You can let go My friend,

Did you forget that you have done enough this year?

And maybe this year didn't look exactly how you thought it would And may you trust,

Everything is always in your favor Deepen your breath,

Inhale,

Exhale What has this year taught you?

How has this year shaped you?

Why are you proud of yourself this year?

How did you surprise yourself this year?

What felt really nourishing to support your growth this year?

Breathe in,

Let it go Notice how powerful it is to pause and reflect And be in awe of the you that you have become this year Because of all the highs and the lows All the twists and turns and the detours and dead ends Here you are,

Because of this year What expectations or old stories are you ready to release?

What are you ready to no longer carry forward?

My friend,

Where can you forgive yourself or someone else to really free your mind,

Your heart?

What can you release and let go of in order to let in new energy for this year ahead?

Breathe in,

Breathe out Welcome ingratitude into your heart for all the lessons Breathing out what no longer serves you Feeling a lighter,

Clearer energy Listen to these words by Zaina Keithley And as for me,

When the clock strikes midnight and one year gives way to another,

I will keep my feet on the ground and my eyes toward the sky And I will place a hand on my beating heart and I will breathe For it will be a new year,

But there will be no new me No lists of ideals that I wish I could be It took a long time to get here,

To learn how to love myself in this skin And as I peel back the layers of everything I'm not,

I realize that I like the person I am Me,

Just me Imperfect and flawed,

But beautiful and worthy of my own love And I will honor the journey that's brought me here today And I will find peace in my own being I will not spend my entire life chasing my worthiness like it's always just out of reach Because I know I can find it here,

Right here In my body,

In my breath And as a new year comes,

I have no grand resolutions No bold proclamations about who I will become No,

All I have is this one sacred promise That no matter where this path takes me,

I will never again withhold from myself my whole and complete love It will be a new year,

But there will be no new me Breathe in this relief and peace and empowerment Release anything that's lingering that you do not need Notice what's here now My friend,

I hope you feel a sense of encouragement and a deep knowing of who you are Saying thank you to this past year,

Welcoming in the next Breath in,

Let it all go Take your sweet,

Sweet time to become aware of your surroundings Maybe place your hands over your heart and thank your beating heart for staying with you through it all Maybe whisper to yourself something you need to hear And only when you're ready,

Take one more cleansing breath in,

Let it go Blinking your eyes open slowly Remembering that the new year doesn't mean you need a fresh start,

It just means it's time to see yourself in a whole new way Honor the road you've traveled and open your heart to the next chapter From my heart to yours
