Welcome to this moment.
This meditation is for you if you feel a wave of anxiety or just in general feel a lack of motivation,
You feel low energy.
This meditation will help you sit with how you are feeling with a little less judgment.
Begin to deepen your breath really slowly.
Inhale through your nose,
Exhale out your mouth.
Breathe it in,
Let it all go.
Breath in,
Breath out.
Even after just three deep breaths can you notice a subtle shift?
Begin to soften your forehead,
Your jaw.
Allow all the tension in your shoulders to lift.
Feel gravity pull you down,
Allowing yourself to land right here.
Inhale,
Exhale.
What is it that you are feeling?
Become the observer and just witness all the layers to you.
Choosing to see yourself with compassion and grace.
Allowing yourself to be exactly as you are.
Follow your breath in,
Follow your breath out.
My friend,
How much of your stress and anxiety comes from believing that you should be a certain way?
Noticing if your inner dialogue has been like this.
I should be doing more.
I should feel motivated.
I should be really productive right now.
I shouldn't be feeling this way.
Shoulds are judgment.
To free yourself of the shoulds and the judgment,
Practice allowing.
Allow what is versus what you think should be.
Let yourself be.
Breathe in,
Breathe out.
Let it go.
Notice where the pressure is coming from.
Quite often it's internal pressure.
Pressure we put on ourselves.
And so you are the very thing that can free yourself from the pressure.
Within the pressure are all the expectations.
Can you let them all go?
There is no rush.
You are right on time.
I free myself from the unnecessary expectations.
I am allowed to be as I am.
My simple existence is enough.
I am right on time.
My friend,
When you have the awareness to recognize that your motivation is low or your excitement is low,
That is not a signal to push.
That is a signal to rest.
To be gentle.
Everything ebbs and flows.
You must accept and welcome the low in order to receive the high.
May you remember that no feeling is final and everything is impermanent.
So go easy on yourself.
Be gentle and be kind to your mind.
There is nothing wrong with you.
Breathe in,
Exhale.
May you know that every breath you take is a chance to begin again.
And here you are softening your approach to yourself.
Choosing acceptance over judgment.
Choosing to allow what is versus what you think should be.
Can you feel the ease and the relief?
Feel your entire being.
A fresh start doesn't mean changing yourself.
A fresh start means meeting yourself in a whole new way.
Breathe in,
Breathe out.
Feel everything within you soften a little more.
The truth is you probably don't need more motivation.
You need more acceptance.
May you go slowly.
Keep easing into every moment.
And maybe,
My friend,
Do one thing that does excite you.
Focus your energy on something that will spark the light within you.
And maybe that means that you sit here a little bit longer and breathe.
And that is enough.
You are enough.
