Welcome to the Truth Prescription Morning Meditation.
This is Dr.
Seiku Gathers.
This is an introduction to help you find truth each and every day and help you live the life that you want to live.
First,
Find a comfortable place in your home to sit.
Make sure you will not be distracted or interrupted by anything,
Even if that means waking up a few minutes early or going into the bathroom.
Please place your phone in airplane mode as you listen.
Now place both feet flat on the ground.
Begin to listen to the sound of my voice.
Close your eyes and breathe deep in through your nose and out through your mouth.
As you blow out,
Be sure to purse or close your lips slightly,
Creating a bit of pressure.
As you continue to breathe,
Place your hand on your heart.
As you breathe and as you feel your heart,
Think of a time when you felt the most gratitude in your life.
Whenever that was,
You could have been two years old,
You could have been 62 years old.
Wherever you felt the most gratitude,
Think about that time as you continue to breathe.
As you think about that time,
I want you to visually see in your mind that situation,
See that place,
See the people in the place.
See the weather if it was outside,
See the sun or the moon,
Feel the wind.
Wherever the environment was,
See that environment the best you can remember.
Recall any smells,
The feeling of anything you touched or that touched you.
But most importantly,
Feel the gratitude that you felt at that time.
Feel it now as if it were today.
Continue to breathe.
Continue breathing and you feel your heart beating beneath your hand.
Feel the gratitude.
Now picture yourself today.
What are you going to wear?
Where are you going to go?
See yourself in those moments,
On the train,
At work,
Walking,
In your car,
Meeting with friends.
Picture yourself doing those things two,
Three,
Four,
Six,
Eight hours from now.
Still feeling that same gratitude.
See it,
Feel it.
Take five more breaths.
Open your eyes.
Go into your day and be thankful for what you have and be grateful for the greatness that is you.
