One of the most powerful states to exist in is happiness.
In happiness,
You can witness yourself,
Others,
And the world with loving kindness,
Your heart open,
Receptive.
Things in creativity flow,
And you hold appreciation for all that is good in your life.
You witness the ease of abundance,
Collaboration with others,
And the friendship of kindness that exudes as you walk into your day with heart and mind synchronized in the beauty of authentic happiness.
Here in this meditation,
Discover your sacred path to authentic happiness.
Shift at will how you feel currently into the emotion of happiness or any other of your choice.
As we begin,
You may wish to identify how you feel now,
And then to ask,
How do I want to feel?
Begin right where you are.
This meditation may be experienced standing,
Seated,
Or lying.
Close your eyes.
Bring your focus,
Your awareness into each breath cycle.
Each breath cycle is an inhalation and an exhalation.
Consider what it feels like to be more aware of your in-breath.
And as you exhale,
Be aware of the feeling of release,
The outpouring of breath as it is naturally occurring.
Notice how both your in-breath and out-breath complement each other.
Begin now to calibrate your awareness.
Notice how you feel in this moment,
Without attaching any meaning to this feeling.
Notice how your present mood state feels as a physical sensation,
An experience within your body.
Notice where in your body you feel your present mood state,
And how your feelings are witnessed and experienced as felt sensations.
Sometimes a particular feeling can be experienced throughout your body,
While at other times how you feel is experienced in a particular area of the body.
Identify for yourself where in your body and also how your current feeling or mood state feels.
Give it words.
Identify for yourself how your current mood state is experienced within your body.
For example,
Anxiety may be felt in the chest as rapid breathing or pressure,
And as the sensations of physical tension in the shoulders and upper back.
Note whatever current feelings are present for you,
And describe their location and how you are experiencing them in your body.
Hold your awareness for a short time here on your current emotional state as you continue breathing.
Next let me show you how to let go to release what emotion you no longer want to hold.
Decide what emotion you wish to release.
And now with every exhalation,
Allow for the letting go of this emotion.
Because you may have identified where you feel the unwanted emotion,
You may now see and imagine this emotion leave your body from where it is with your out-breath or out through your fingertips,
Your feet,
Or any other part of your body.
See,
Feel,
And imagine all of this unwanted emotion releasing completely with each out-breath.
And now as you are ready to experience happiness,
Imagine the feeling of happiness enter your being with each in-breath.
With each in-breath,
Take in this new feeling.
As you breathe in,
Bring into you how you choose to feel.
Think of the words that describe this feeling and where in your body do you now feel happiness,
Joy,
Positivism,
And the expressions of this.
Lightness,
Energy,
Flow,
Excitement,
Ease,
And any other descriptions you are witness to.
Breathe in.
Feel the feelings you now hold within your being.
This breath practice is also a metaphor for how you may live life.
Each in-breath,
You open yourself to your expansive nature.
Each out-breath,
You release what is no longer needed,
Including any unwanted emotion.
Each in-breath is the promise and hope,
The choice of how you will be in the world.
Every out-breath is releasing that which is no longer a part of you.
Your unwanted thought,
Feeling,
Mood state,
Whatever behavior or habit is not serving your highest potential.
Acknowledge this and choose to release it with every deliberate out-breath.
You must do this consciously.
Breathe in.
Bring in what is wanted.
Breathe out,
Releasing what is not serving you.
With each fullness of new breath,
Feel happiness.
Take it in fully.
Let happiness,
Joy,
Bliss be your chosen state of being.
As you exhale,
You now realize that there is nothing left of the old feelings,
Only the feeling and the state of genuine happiness and the joy of how this feels in your body.
Now you are aware of both in-breath and out-breath.
Your current state of happiness is the constant inner force within you.
Notice how this feels,
How wonderful it is to release what is not wanted,
The feeling and experience of pure happiness felt throughout your body.
Feel for a time acknowledging the feeling of happiness that is now your present state.
Use this guided meditation often.
Each time you wish to feel happiness and other positive states of being,
Use your mindful awareness to check in often,
To note how you are feeling,
And to then choose the emotion that you most desire to feel.
You may wish to continue in this meditation for a time longer,
Enjoying the beautiful feeling you have chosen to witness.
Happiness as both a feeling and a state of being experienced fully in your mind and body.
This is your natural state.
Know that how you feel is always a choice.
You may not have had the tools to transform how you feel until now.
Allow yourself to continue to feel this beautiful new way of feeling in your mind,
In your body,
And in your soul.
You may wish to anchor this feeling with the mantra,
I am happiness now.
And feel this expression of happiness throughout your being.
You are this happiness embodied.
