Grounding Meditation.
For this meditation,
Find a comfortable seat.
This could be on a chair as well as on a cushion,
On a mat,
On the floor.
Whatever is suitable for you.
If you're sitting on a chair,
Make sure your feet are connected to the ground.
And whatever seat you're in,
Allow your arms and your hands to rest.
And before you close your eyes,
Look up with your eyes open towards the space between your eyebrows.
Hold your eyes there,
Take a deep inhale.
Exhale through your mouth.
Once again,
Inhale deeply.
And exhale through your mouth.
Once again,
Inhale deeply.
And as you exhale now,
Allow your eyes to close,
Relax your eyeballs.
Find to a natural rhythm of breath and feel how heavy your eyelids are just now.
They are fully relaxed.
Now allow this relaxation from your eyelids to spread out through your entire body.
Allow this wave of relaxation to take over your body.
Relaxing the face,
Your head,
Your shoulders,
Your torso,
The hips,
Your legs and your feet.
You are allowed to fully release.
Bring your awareness back to your breath and notice the gentle flow of your inhale and exhale through the nose.
Like little waves in and out.
Now allow your breath to guide you towards your heart center.
Take a moment here.
Maybe you can feel your heartbeat.
Send a smile to your inner world.
Say hello.
Welcoming you to this time you're taking for yourself.
Now take your awareness down to your sit bones,
The space you're connected to the ground or the chair you're sitting on.
And imagine now that from your sit bones you're growing roots down into the earth.
Through the floor,
The room you're in,
Through the building,
Down,
Down,
Down into the earth,
The roots grow thick and strong.
And they spread out.
They go deeper and deeper.
All the way towards the center of our earth.
And from there,
Start now to draw back to your body the earth's energy.
The energy of strength and grounding.
You can imagine it as a pure red light that travels up through your roots,
Into your body.
Throughout your entire body,
The energy flows.
Feel how the energy creates warmth within your body.
And keep drawing the energy in.
Continue to breathe naturally.
Nervous yourself here.
With the strength of the earth.
The feeling of being carried,
Grounded,
Connected.
Now as your body is filled with this energy,
Take your awareness back to your heart center.
And connect to the love within you.
Allow the love to spread out and mix with the earth's energy.
And then notice how a bright golden light trickles in from above through the crown of your head into your body.
Filling your body from the head,
Through each and every cell of your body.
Connecting with the energy of the earth,
Your love within,
The power of the universe.
You are connected.
Continue to breathe naturally and enjoy the connection of the earth and the universe within you.
You are connected.
We all are connected.
Everything is connected.
And then slowly take your awareness back to the room you're in.
Notice any sound around you.
And take your time to bring yourself back completely.
Deepen your breath,
Feel your body.
And whenever you're ready,
Slowly allow your eyes to open.
Re-adjust to where you are now.
