Hi and welcome back to seven days of coming back to yourself.
My name is Diane and this is day two.
Working with your body.
We're just gonna begin by gently noticing your breath in whatever position you are.
Just saying hello to your breath.
Acknowledging your breath.
Something we take for granted but something that gives us life day in and day out.
So welcome back into your body.
Your body may be holding more than you realize but in these next few minutes you're just gonna be noticing without needing to change anything but tuning in it more to what your body is sharing with you because it holds such great wisdom.
So I'm going to invite you as you're just consciously breathing as you breathe in and out and just mentally scanning your body from the top of your head all the way down to your toes slowly without any judgment.
You're just getting curious about what you might be noticing or feeling happening within you.
Your bones,
Your muscles,
Your energy.
Noticing any sensations whether it's tension,
Tightness,
Pain.
Just acknowledging whatever you notice.
When you do notice pockets of tension or tightness or discomfort I invite you to just pause wherever those places may be and just maybe starting with one area and our breath is such a powerful tool so I'm going to invite you to deepen your breath now.
Holding at the top of your breath and then contract every muscle in your body that you can squeeze and tighten and big exhale as you release that hold and as you bring awareness to those pockets of tension go ahead and direct your breath right to those areas as if they had their own little set of lungs and you were sending this life-force energy this beautiful wave of fresh oxygen right to those tight areas and inviting in softness,
Tenderness,
Gentleness and staying in those areas giving them attention as if you were touching a beloved animal or person,
Child.
Meeting those places in your body with compassion,
With kindness.
Just breathing steady there.
Now I invite you to send a kind note to these areas in your body.
For example you might say I welcome you,
I appreciate you,
I embrace you,
Thank you.
Just a short sweet note and then scanning your body again.
Breathing in and breathing out.
Just noticing,
Seeing what might be changing or shifting and staying open and curious with intentional breath as you allow for change to happen.
Go ahead and place one hand over your heart center and the other one on your solar plexus.
These are your energy centers in your body.
Breathing in and breathing out as you come back to home base.
Meeting your body with kindness and taking it slow as you go on with your day or evening.
Remembering that your body is here waiting for you and you can come back to your body at any time.
Thank you so much for joining me and I look forward to meeting you again in day three of this series.
Take good care.
