Hi,
I'm Diane.
In the next five minutes,
We're going to access peace together.
So let's just take a centering breath,
Nice deep breath in,
And giving yourself permission to just let go for the next few minutes we're together of whatever brought you here right now.
You can pick it up again after this recording is over,
And maybe you'd prefer to stay and listen or just,
You know,
Stay in your quiet space for a little bit more time after this recording is over,
Knowing that you can come back at any time to listen again,
But right now I'm just going to share with you an experience that I had yesterday.
I was craving peace,
And I live a pretty peaceful life,
I have to say,
For the most part,
But I wasn't feeling too peaceful because there was a lot of noise happening around my house.
So I decided to drive a short distance to a monastery that I just recently discovered,
And I had never been to it before,
But the minute I stepped out of my car,
When I got there,
I just felt this wave of peace begin to wash over me.
It was quiet,
There was nobody there.
It was in the most beautiful setting,
And I sat down on a bench overlooking this very blue,
I want to say pond,
But it was a pretty big pond,
Body of water that had many lotus flowers floating on top,
And I don't see those very often around here where I live.
The flowers,
The colors,
So many different shades of pink and purple,
White and yellow throughout the grounds.
It was a warm day,
And there was a gentle breeze.
I was sitting under a beautiful willow tree,
And its long branches were just swaying in the breeze,
And I just took some just deep inhalations,
Just taking it all in,
The sound of the birds,
And there was this beautiful heron that was flying overhead,
So graceful.
A cute little cat walked out of nowhere and just sat right at my feet.
There was no technology,
There were no people.
I couldn't hear the cars that were not too far away.
It was just,
It was like I had arrived in another world.
Just being in that experience brought me to such inner peace,
Just connecting with nature,
The temperature on my skin,
The smell of the flowers,
The sound of the birds,
Brought me to a place where my thoughts slowed way down,
And I'm hoping that that's happening for you right now,
Because it's our mind that pulls us away from our state of peace.
So just remember that,
My friend,
As you step back into your day,
Or perhaps you're getting ready for bed,
And just come back to center with your breath,
Visiting the most peaceful place in your mind,
Whether it's with me in the monastery or somewhere else.
Thanks for joining me.
Take care.
