Leading a spiritual life means that you take responsibility for all that is happening in your life. All acts that manifest in you have their roots entirely in you. When you become aware of your depths, you can master the entire process - from roots to fruits. Self-Awareness has 3 levels: 1. ACT 2. MIND 3. CORE SENSATIONS

Namaste and a very warm welcome to all of you in this daily life meditation session with me,

Dhyansa.

Leading a spiritual life means that you recognize the entire experience of your life is rooted in yourself.

There is no one else to be responsible for what you are experiencing in life.

Whether it's good experiences of life,

Whether it's bad experiences of life,

You yourself are responsible for everything that happens in your life.

That's the basis of spirituality that there is nobody else to blame.

It's a misconception that spirituality means that God is what takes care of everything.

God is what is responsible for everything.

Spirituality is a journey to realize that you yourself,

You yourself,

You yourself,

We all are gods.

And that is why we are responsible for our own experiences of life throughout this world,

Throughout this journey that we call as life.

In these sessions,

The effort is to take one step closer to this recognition that we are the creators of our own experience.

We are the ones who have to take responsibility of whatever is happening in our life.

In current series,

We are on point number 7 of Aatishwara's 7-point mind training.

In this last section of the entire training,

The points,

The sutras that we are discussing are add-ons,

Are the ones that ensures that there is nothing missing in your practice.

When you have established a practice of meditation,

Of spirituality,

Of allowing yourself moments of awareness and silence in your life,

Then there is nothing missing.

So it's touching up the entire practice from all different angles.

What Aatishwara says for today's sutra is pay attention to the three difficult points.

What does he mean by paying attention to three difficult points?

What are the three difficult points or three difficulties that he is trying to teach us?

First of all,

He is assuming that you are practicing mindfulness.

You are practicing awareness throughout your day,

Throughout not just the moments of meditation,

But throughout your life,

Throughout 24 hours of the day.

And in these 24 hours of the day,

When you are practicing mindfulness,

There are three difficulties.

Basically what he is saying is that there are three different levels of this awareness that we must understand while we are becoming aware of the entire experience that we are going through in life.

Why?

And why do we say that awareness is what resolves everything in life?

Just by observing what's happening in our daily life,

Everything is resolved.

How does that happen?

So here the crux of awareness on three different levels and the difficulty of holding the awareness of three different levels is what allows us to see how awareness is solving everything in our life,

Leading to the transformation that we are pursuing on this path.

The first level of mindfulness,

Of awareness,

Is the awareness of the act.

When you walk,

When you eat,

When you sit,

When you do something,

When you move,

When you think,

When you do anything,

When you are involved in any act,

And 24-7 we are involved in acts,

In these acts,

If we become aware of the acts,

If we have mindfulness of the acts,

If along the acts we are also aware of the acts,

Then suddenly there is a transformation that starts happening.

In the beginning,

It might be that you are in the act and you are not aware and suddenly you realize,

You remember that you need to be aware,

So your awareness comes back and then it goes along with the act and then again you get involved with the act,

You get identified with the act,

The awareness goes away.

This is difficulty number one,

To maintain the awareness throughout all acts.

How does that solve the problem?

When you are maintaining this awareness,

You are not sleep walking through life.

You see what you are doing in so many situations,

You are just doing things,

Not even realizing that you are performing that particular act.

So it allows you to first of all acknowledge what you are doing throughout your day.

So many new revelations will come out,

You will see that you are repeating the same thing again and again and again,

Same good things,

Same bad things,

Same mistakes,

Same anger,

Same jealousy,

Same hatred,

Same ego acting out in all situations.

So you will see the act and the difficulty that you must overcome is to maintain this mindfulness throughout the entire acts.

One of the challenging situations is when the emotions are very strong,

When the trigger is there and you are in anger and you are in hatred and you are in some sort of negative emotion in a negative state,

In that state,

In that act while you are conducting yourself,

That's the most difficult,

Most challenging time of being aware.

Remember to be aware,

Learn,

Practice to be aware of being in the act and also watching the act as it happens.

The second difficulty happens on the second level of awareness.

Once you have learned to be mindful throughout your experience of life,

Then you start to see that all these acts,

There is a thought process that goes underneath.

There is some calculation that is going on underneath.

There is a mind that is underneath the entire act and you start to become aware of this mind of this,

The process,

The calculation that happens before even the act happens,

Before you are angry,

Before you let out the act out of anger,

You see the thought,

You see the thought pattern,

You see the process that leads to that particular situation,

To that particular expression,

To that particular act.

So the thought pattern,

The mind,

That layer which is the inner calculation that leads to that expression,

That act,

Is the second level of awareness.

So once you have overcome the first difficulty to maintain awareness in every act,

Then you start to see the underneath layer,

The undercurrent of it and you become aware of that.

And that's where the second difficulty is to maintain this constant awareness of what is going on within me which is making me do this or do that.

That level of awareness is second and then there is the third which is the most,

The core most level of awareness that you can have about your experience of life,

About the acts,

Which is one step below the mind,

One step below the thoughts that flow and create the act.

And that third level is the sensations,

The feeling,

The energy.

You can call it sensations,

You can call it feeling,

Not the emotions but the inner deeper feeling,

The sensations which happen even before the thought.

So before the act happens,

The thought,

Before the thought happens,

The feeling or the sensation and you can catch,

If you can catch yourself already in that sensation,

You will prevent the thought,

You will prevent the act.

You are then the master of the entire chain,

The entire happening and process of the act manifesting out of the sensation that is the source in you leading to the thought,

Leading to the mind,

Getting ready to execute that and your entire act itself which is then the manifestation.

So from the source to the manifestation,

You become the master of the entire process and you can choose to stop.

When it's negative,

You know where the sensations are,

Why those sensations are being triggered,

What are those sensations,

You recognize them before even they start happening and manifesting.

So these are the three difficulties,

These are the three difficult levels of awareness.

If you are a beginner,

Start with becoming aware of all of your acts throughout your day,

Practice more and more,

If you fall,

Get yourself up,

Maintain this awareness,

If you are practiced enough in mindfulness,

In daily awareness,

Take this to the level two which is to become aware of the thought process and if you have mastered that as well,

You naturally will start to see your core,

You will naturally start to feel the sensations and here if you fully establish yourself,

Your awareness on the core,

You are in your being,

You are in your center,

You are the master of all manifestations that happen in your life.

In today's meditation,

Let us observe our acts,

Our mind,

Our sensations,

These three different levels and see can we be aware,

Can we be mindful,

What happens when we are trying and we are attempting to hold that awareness,

When does it break,

How to get back,

Practice this in the session today and take this to your life,

To your daily routines.

With that please close your eyes,

Sit in an upright posture,

With your hands either in your lap or on your thighs.

Take a nice deep breath,

Inhale from the nose and exhale from the nose,

Allowing your body to settle,

Finding its balance,

Finding its center.

Your mind coming down and your awareness inwards.

Down,

Down,

Exhale all that virtual life which means,

Definitely feel tension in your voice,

.

The first level of awareness of the gross,

Of the physical,

Of the act.

Become aware of the act.

You're sitting in silence,

Maintaining stillness.

You're sitting at ease.

Become aware of this act that you're in right now.

You're sitting at ease.

Become aware of this act.

Become aware of this act.

Become aware of this act.

If you fall off the awareness,

Get yourself back up and maintain this stream of awareness about your act.

What you're doing right now,

Sitting still,

Comfortable,

In silence,

In awareness.

.

.

.

Shift the awareness to your mind,

One level deeper than the act.

The state of your mind allowing you to be in the act.

.

The thought pattern that holds you in meditation and the thought pattern that takes you away,

That distracts you.

Observe everything about your mind.

.

.

.

And to the deepest,

The sensations,

The inner feelings in your core.

Become aware of these sensations,

These feelings,

These inner depths,

Which allow you to be in this state of silence,

Centeredness,

Of balance,

Of meditation.
