A sacred journey to reconnect with your inner child and release all patterns,
Negative beliefs and emotional pain.
This meditation is designed to help you feel safe,
Supported,
Loved and empowered as you heal the tender parts of yourself that have experienced emotional wounds.
So let's begin.
If you'll find a comfortable position,
Either sitting or lying down and just relax.
Taking a couple of deep long breaths,
Releasing tension and stress as you exhale and gently closing your eyes as you move into deeper relaxation.
Take a few moments to settle into your body,
Adjusting your clothing,
Your posture and anything else that feels needed for you to feel deeply supported and relaxed.
Now,
If you'll intend to ground yourself into the present moment,
The space and time that you're in,
Visualizing roots growing from the soles of your feet,
Extending deep into the earth.
Feel these roots extending downward and anchoring you,
Connecting you to the stability and nourishment of the earth.
And making you feel deeply supported and secure.
Next,
If you'll bring your awareness to your breath,
Noticing how your breath feels as it flows in and out of your body.
Does your breath feel smooth or do you notice any tension or restriction in your breathing?
Simply notice with the intention of relaxing your breath deeper and deeper with each and every breath.
As you breathe,
Imagine each inhale as you breathe,
Imagine each inhale bringing in peace and support and each exhale releasing tension and self-doubt.
Gently deepening your breath,
Allowing it to become longer and slower over time.
With every breath,
Feel yourself relaxing more and more and sinking deeper and deeper into calm.
Now,
If you'll imagine your breath as a healing light,
You can choose a color that resonates with you.
Maybe it's white,
Gold or a soothing shade of blue.
Visualizing this light entering through your nostrils,
Flowing down into your lungs and spreading through your entire body and bringing immense comfort to the area of your abdomen.
Your belly.
Now,
As you exhale,
Picture this light dissolving any areas of tension,
Discomfort or blockages in your body.
Every breath you take brings relaxation into each and every cell of your being,
Filling you with deep peace and calm.
If any thoughts or emotions arise,
Simply notice them instead of fighting with them.
Choosing to breathe into each thought or emotion that comes up with love and acceptance,
Allowing the healing light to ease and soften them over time.
Take a moment to scan your body for any areas of remaining tension,
Starting from the top of your head and slowly moving your awareness downward through your neck,
Shoulders,
Heart,
Abdomen and lower body and also through your arms,
Hands and fingers as well as your legs,
Feet and toes.
Noticing if there's tightness in any part of your body,
Your solar plexus,
Your heart,
Your throat,
Your neck,
Your shoulders,
Your back or your abdomen and wherever you find any tension,
Pain or discomfort,
Gently bring your breath and the healing light into those areas,
Softening them with your breath and allowing any tension,
Pain or discomfort to gently and gradually dissolve.
Now,
Using your awareness,
If you'll very gently touch on the outer edges of a painful memory,
Bringing your awareness to a painful memory without getting fully triggered into it,
Simply feeling the periphery of this painful memory and its associated emotions,
Perhaps something as of yet unresolved in your relationships,
Your health,
Your career or any area where you feel stuck or that things aren't going the way you'd like them to.
If you'll allow this memory to arise gently and as you recall it,
Notice the emotions it brings up.
Are you experiencing feelings of frustration,
Sadness,
Disempowerment,
Blame,
Anger or even shame?
Do your very best to make peace with all these emotions as they come up and morph naturally over time and as these emotions come to the surface,
If you'll stay connected to your breath,
Noticing where in your body you feel the most pain,
Noticing where in your body you're holding on to these emotions.
Maybe it's in your abdomen,
Your chest or your throat or maybe it's in your neck,
Your solar plexus or your pelvic floor.
Simply become aware of where this energy feels stuck in your body and where you are having this experience in the form of an emotion.
Now,
If you'll bring your hands to one area where you feel tension the most in your body and with your hands resting there,
Imagine that you are holding your inner child a younger version of yourself who is carrying these emotions,
These emotional wounds.
Feel yourself holding these tender parts of you with all the love,
Compassion and safety you can provide for them and you might see images or memories of a time when your inner child experienced some feelings of emotional pain.
Maybe you felt unseen or unheard,
Unsupported,
Misunderstood,
Judged,
Punished,
Unloved,
Neglected,
Or even mistreated.
Allow for these memories to come to the surface without judgment and simply continue to hold your inner child sending love and healing to all the parts of your inner child that need it through your hands.
And even speaking to your inner child with words of encouragement,
Support and love.
With the softest,
Most loving voice,
You might whisper things like you're okay I'm here with you I'm here with you Just breathe I'll hold you in my arms until you feel safe Feeling free to say whatever words feel right to you in this moment Expressing your feelings and emotions as freely as possible and speaking to your inner child aloud if you are in a private space or silently to yourself if that feels better Realizing that your inner child needs to hear these words of comfort and reassurance and that those wounded parts of you have been waiting to hear these healing words for so long As you continue soothing your inner child through your loving and healing words breathe deeply and continue visualizing the healing light flowing through your entire body bringing peace and love to the places where you still feel some tension,
Pain or discomfort As memories and emotions continue to arise allow them to pass like clouds in the sky You're not holding on to them or resisting them You're simply allowing for whatever wants to come to the surface and express to do so gently and naturally Now,
If you hear any negative sounds if you self-talk or disempowering thoughts or if you simply connect to times when you've talked to yourself harshly and have been hard on yourself and in those places where you hurt if you'll begin to speak words of loving affirmation saying to yourself I am worthy of love I am safe I am supported I am whole I am lovable or any other healing and loving affirmations your inner child wants to hear right now let these affirmations fill the space where you used to hold fear,
Doubt,
Pain or shame holding yourself where you've not been held before supporting yourself where you've not felt supported loving yourself where you've not felt loved before now as you continue holding your inner child imagine a healing light that's creating a protective field all around you a glowing radiant bubble of love nourishment and safety and as you bathe in this protective energy field it cleanses and purifies your energy clearing away any lingering pain or negativity feel this energetic cleansing as though you are being bathed in warmth,
Love and light it wraps around you filling you with a sense of safety,
Peace and unconditional love now take a moment to thank your inner child for showing up today and allowing this healing to happen offering gratitude to yourself for taking this time to heal and nurture this fragile and wounded part of you that just wants to feel loved and supported speaking words of love,
Empowerment and support to your inner child saying I am the keeper of my own heart I am love I am whole I am perfect just as I am allowing this affirmation to sink deep deep into your heart bringing a sense of love empowerment and peace now having brought all of this love,
Support reassurance and deep healing to your inner child if you'll slowly begin to return to the present moment gently deepening your breath feeling the support of the ground beneath you connecting to all the ways that you are safe,
Loved supported and resourced right now lovingly wiggling your fingers and toes and bringing gentle movement back into your body feeling grounded safe and fully present and when you are ready slowly opening your eyes bringing with you a sense of calm,
Love and wholeness you cultivated during this meditation
