You got hit with a new bill or expense and suddenly you find yourself spinning.
Your heart is racing and this storm feels like it might be the one to take you out.
But I'm here to tell you that it doesn't have to.
I have been there,
I lived there most of my life.
I've walked around with my chest tight,
Scared to spend a dime.
And when you are anxious about finances,
It colors how you do everything,
How you interpret everything.
So let's bring some clarity into our perception.
If you aren't in a comfortable space right now,
Get there.
Whether you want to sit or you're more comfortable laying down.
Whatever feels best for your body right now,
Just make space for it.
We'll start this meditation by emptying out our lungs of all of the old air.
And we'll do this by using our belly to help push out any air that's sitting in there.
And before you breathe out all of the air,
I just want to let you know how we'll be breathing throughout this meditation.
So breathe in for four seconds,
And then breathe out for six.
But for now,
Let's just push out all of that old air from our lungs,
Go.
And let's breathe in for four seconds,

Now breathe out for one,

I really want you to allow yourself to relax,
Allow yourself to put those financial worries down just for a second,
Because you know like I know they'll be there at the end of this meditation.
But this time is about grounding,
It's about bringing calm back into your body,
It's about bringing safety back into your body.
So let's breathe in for one,

Let's do that cycle one more time,

I want you to grab your belly now,
Putting your right hand on one side of your belly and the left hand on the other.
We're touching this area as we breathe in,
As we calm ourselves,
And as we say our affirmations,
As this is the area where we hold a lot of tension when we find ourselves in financial worry.
We start to hold our stomach,
It gets filled with uncomfortable butterflies,
And it just radiates to our entire bodies.
So as you hold this area,
I want you to trust that these affirmations are going to flow right from your mouth,
Directly into this area that needs the most confidence,
That needs the most safety right now.
Let your breath return to a natural place,
But continue to breathe deep,
You know,
Don't take any shallow breaths,
But breathe at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
And I'm going to say an affirmation,
And I want you to repeat it even if you don't fully believe it in this moment.
This is when we start walking by faith with our words to our bodies to let us know that even though things might be uncertain right now,
That we are safe.
And trust your hands to help you to lock in these meditations into the very core of you.
Your hands are there to keep you grounded and to let you know that you're here.
So repeat after me,

I want you to rub your belly and repeat whichever these affirmations that I just said that resonate with you the most.
Whichever ones you needed to hear the most.
Just rub your belly and repeat it to yourself now.
I want you to repeat it twice and repeat it one more time.
Now I want you to move your hands from your belly to your eyes and I want you to cup your eyes in a way that will block out any light from getting into your eyes.
I want you to totally be in the dark.
And once your eyes are cupped really good where there's no light getting in,
I want you to open them.
You shouldn't be able to see anything.
And I want you to repeat this affirmation.
Even when I cannot see the path ahead,
I trust the next steps will appear.
I say that again.

I surrender to how much is not known or seen by me and trust that there is a God,
A universal force for good that sees my solutions and paths forward.

Our bodies can become so overwhelmed with stress.
And I just pray that you help us stay calm.
You help us wait for the solutions when there is no way that we can see.

May you empower our breaths to help us to be still.
When we don't know what to do,
May you silence everything around us and bring peace and bring calm to our bodies,
To our minds,
So you can transcribe your plans through us on how we can move forward into a place of thriving.

This was so comforting in a time of financial stress. Every word, your energy, the affirmations and prayer. I appreciate this was much deeper on an emotional and spiritual level and helped me to release emotions related to financial stress, scarcity, and anxiety. God bless you 🙏

Thank you. The breathing and affirmations were really helpful. The affirmations were a bit too long for me to remember them all, but I figured out if I repeated them overlapping with your voice that it worked for me.
