Restful Energy
Winter is a time of restoration, rejuvenation, and turning inward. It’s a time for BEing and resting after a long year. It’s a low-energy time where you get to rest and be restored during the dark days and cold nights. Let yourself be healed by winter’s energy.

Slow Pace
Winter is a slow, sleepy time of year. It’s a time to release DOing and achieving, and instead, connect with your center and the stillness within. Learn to follow winter’s pace, and find deep peace and restoration through BEing and presence.

Cold Weather
The cold, dark, and wet winter weather is an invitation for you to get comfortable and cozy. It’s a gentle reminder that you have permission to rest. Allow yourself to be tucked in and blanketed by this cloudy, restorative season.

Inner Work
Winter is a time of introspection, reflection, and incubation. It’s a time for you to sit with yourself and allow old mental, emotional, and physical wounds to be healed. Let your inner world take center stage, connect with your deepest self, and grow in self-awareness.

Outer Work
Support the inner work you are doing this winter by outwardly caring for yourself. Winter is a wonderful time to create self-care practices to help you feel oh-so-good and gently supported. Shower yourself with love, kindness, and care this winter season.

Feeding Your Body
Fueling the body and giving it energy to keep warm during the winter is essential to your health and well-being during this cold, wet time of year. Being mindful to eat hot meals and warm drinks is likely to do the trick. Find what works for you.

Moving Your Body
Finding ways to be active during the winter to keep warm will ensure you don’t grow stiff or stuck in your joints. Easy movement to heat your body, regular baths, and stretching will keep your body loose and create more joy during this dark time.

Water Element Meditation
Water is the element associated with winter. This short, guided practice will help you connect with the water element and embrace it more fully, creating a sense of connection and ease with this wet season.

Nature’s Example
Winter is a time of hibernation. Let’s look to nature for how we can find comfort and restoration through stillness and being. Allow this time of year to be what it is and trust that you’ll know when it’s time to wake up and be more active.

What a great course!!! I was inspired to make and eat great soup, spend more time outdoors, rest, slow down, add some high quality hot cocoa to my coffee, and have a mug of warm spiced cider along with my kids. The last few snowy winters here in Tahoe have been rough, at work (I dealt with managing snow plows and cracking public building roofs)...

I did this before winter started but I’ll be doing it again in a couple weeks when winter gets here. I love all the talk about how winter is a season to slow down and rest. I realized I’ve never actually rested in winter. I’ve always treated it like any other season, so this year I’m going to slow down and rest more.

What a beautiful course!!! I live in a ski area, so love winter anyway, but this course really taught me to appreciate it more and have sympathy for what other people are going through. I am so sad for this course to be over, but look forward to the spring course!
