Within our bodies lay the powerful energetic centres known as the Chakras. In this meditation we journey through the chakras using breath, visualisation and affirmation. After this meditation you will feel full, whole and energized.

So we'll begin just finding a nice comfortable posture,

One that allows us to feel comfortable and settled and not holding any tension that's not necessary.

Taking a couple of breaths in through the nose and as you inhale even getting the spine towards the ceiling,

Crown of the head pulling up and as you exhale for yourself become heavier and just fall deeper into allowing gravity to inform the shape of your body.

This equal pull upwards and pull downwards at the same time to create more space.

So inhaling to elongate exhaling to become heavier.

And then on your next exhale gently closing down the eyes just start to invite the attention inwards upon ourselves.

We'll start by taking a couple of very conscious breaths seeing if we can hold our attention to the breath as we inhale through the nose down the spine resting in the navel then back up the spine and back out the nose.

So we're taking a couple of conscious breaths keeping your attention with the breath as it travels in down up and out.

And as you do this just noticing the activity of the mind and anything that you may have brought with you just giving yourself permission to just leave it behind just leave it next to you for now it's not going to serve us.

In this meditation and in this journey of directing our attention and our awareness we're going to cultivate a powerful grounding in ourselves in all of the parts of ourselves a connection to our power centers our energy centers or our chakras.

And so for you right now what is it that brought you to this meditation and what intention do you hold?

What is it that you would like to cultivate as we journey through ourselves and our power centers and connect and ground and deepen and liven?

What is your intention?

Once you've got something that feels true just take a deep breath in through the nose exhaling out through the mouth and then just start to deepen your breath again just start bringing a little depth and texture to your breath.

So just a very slight constriction at the back of the throat starts to heat and just warm the breath we're going to take your attention and your breath deep into the base of the spine so taking your attention all the way down to the base of the spine so taking your attention all the way down to the base of the spine and your mind's eye just visualize the color red so breathing into the base of the spine visualizing the color red and just to yourself say the words I am grounded and present in myself I am grounded and present in myself and as you say these words to yourself does that the color red become brighter and more alive I am grounded and present in myself I am grounded and present in myself I am grounded and present in myself and inhaling your attention up to your sacrum or your pelvis and this time keeping your attention here taking your breath to this place within your body and your mind's eye visualizing the color orange as you breathe into the sacrum visualize the color orange just quietly saying to yourself I am connected to my passion my fire and my primal instincts I am connected to my passion my fire and my primal instincts and as you breathe here and visualize the color orange and repeat this mantra to yourself just allow the feeling of this mantra to flood your body I am connected to my passion my power and my primal instincts and then bring your attention and breath to the navel or the space just above the belly button and so focusing your attention here focusing your breath here and visualizing the color yellow as you focus here and breathe here repeating the mantra I am intuitive I am guided and in collaboration with nature or spirit I am intuitive I am guided and in collaboration with nature or spirit I am intuitive I am guided and in collaboration with nature or spirit again allow the feelings of the mantra to flood your body and then bringing your attention to the chest the left of the chest the heart and taking a breath there visualizing the color green and as you focus here and breathe here and visualize the color green repeat yourself I am loving and compassionate with myself and all those around me and as you focus here and breathe here and visualize the color green repeat yourself I am loving and compassionate with myself and all those around me I am loving and compassionate with myself and all those around me allowing those feelings to flood your body and then coming up to the throat taking your attention to the throat taking your breath to the throat feeling the breath as it passes through the throat and visualizing the color blue and this time repeating to yourself I am expressive and trusting of my full truth as it is I am expressive and trusting of my full truth as it is and letting that feeling flood the body and then bringing your attention up to your forehead the space between your eyebrows and visualizing the color indigo or purple and as you take your attention here as you breathe here as you visualize the color indigo or purple repeating I am focused and guided by my vision for myself and the world I am guided and focused my vision for myself and the world and allowing those feelings to flood the body and then coming to the crown of the head the top of the head taking your attention there and your breath and visualizing the color violet or white just imagine visualize a white light shining through the crown of your head up towards the sky and repeating to yourself I accept myself and I trust myself in presence and in relationship with impermanence I trust myself and I am present with myself in relationship with impermanence and just let that feeling flood your body from head to toe and then just bring your attention back to the breath in the navel the stomach rising and falling just noticing how you are feeling now any changes in how you are feeling now as opposed to when we started just maybe noticing where in the body you are feeling the most out of those seven power centers which is feeling most alive and maybe which one you felt a little more challenging to connect with and then from this state just asking yourself what your intention is for the rest of your day what is it that this practice taught you what imprint did it leave on you and how would you like it to inform and animate the rest of the day just deepening the breath and bringing that movement back to the body and just keeping your intention and any lessons that this practice may have taught you front of mind and body as you re-enter the day just starting to take a deep breath in through the nose out through the mouth and then one more time in through the nose raising your shoulders up towards your ears exhale and drop them down collar bones nice and broad and gently looking up in your eyes so may you allow yourself to carry this state with you throughout the day to bring this to others you come in contact with and allow this to light that spark within them that feeling of almost being connected to all the parts of ourselves and shining in the way that we're here to shine you

I really enjoy this chakra meditation. Down to earth, good use of voice, and nice mantras. Only wish is that the mantras were repeated more or a bit shorter. It can be difficult to repeat alone at times. Great!
