Fall is finally here and I've been watching the leaves change colors,
Watching leaves fall away and it's been reminding me that it may also be time for us to do the same,
To shed that which no longer serves us.
And I'm also noticing that there is some anxiety,
Some stress,
Some extra turbulence in the system right now that a lot of people are feeling and I think that a lot of this turbulence is actually just a call for us to release that which does not serve us just like the trees and the vines and all the plants are doing right now too.
So I'd love to lead you on this fall release meditation to just check in and see if there's anything inside of us,
Anything that's in our lives,
That's time to let go and shed.
So we'll begin by taking three deep breaths at your own pace and we'll start by breathing all the way out.
Let's go ahead and breathe all the way out now.
Breathe in and release.
And breathe all the way back in.
Hold at the top.
And release.
This last one,
We're gonna breathe all the way in and hold at the top.
And slowly release.
Feel your eyes shutting down.
Sit straight up or relax laying down,
Your choice.
Just start to settle in,
Hearing the sounds around you.
Noticing the temperature of the room.
Feeling into your body,
Into your chest,
Into your hands,
Into your feet.
Just come home.
As you're coming home,
Start to notice how you're feeling today.
Are you feeling a bit of stress,
A bit of anxiety,
Is there a relaxed state?
Just start to notice how you're feeling right now.
Be present to it.
Don't resist it.
Just let it be.
And we're gonna take three more breaths,
Settling even deeper into this peaceful relaxed state.
Breathe in.
Hold.
Three,
Two.
One.
Two.
One.
And release slowly.
And breathe in.
Hold.
Three,
Two.
One.
And release.
And breathe in.
Hold.
Three,
Two.
One.
Release all the way out,
Letting your whole body go.
Feel deep peace seeping into every bone in your body.
Come home to the stillness,
The calm.
Notice how good it feels to be in this state of calm,
Peaceful presence.
And as we're in this calm state of peaceful presence,
Start to notice if there's anything in your life that's been taking you out of this peaceful presence.
Scan your life now.
Just notice what comes up intuitively.
It's inconsistent,
Out of alignment,
With this true state of peace.
What's been bothering you?
What's been taking your energy?
What have you been feeling attached to,
That you know it's time to let go of?
Now as these things come up,
Know that all is well.
Now,
Imagine a tree.
It could be any type of tree.
Imagine a tree in your mind now.
Now imagine,
Looking at all the leaves,
And realizing that each one of those things that came up is now a leaf on the tree in your mind's eye.
See all those things on your tree now.
Notice the impact that it's having on the tree.
Are those leaves helping the tree to grow,
Expand,
Or have they served their purpose now?
Now imagine,
In your mind's eye,
All the leaves of the tree,
Slowly turning orange,
Yellow,
Red,
And then brown.
Watch as the leaves of the tree effortlessly release the wind,
And gracefully flow down,
Down,
Down to the earth,
Slowly decomposing,
Being consumed by the mycelium in the dirt,
Slowly breaking apart,
And returning back to the soil,
Effortlessly and easily.
Feel the lightness of the tree as it drops all these leaves,
All these leaves that served it for a season,
But are now being released to make way for what's next.
Feel how easy it is to release that which does not serve,
And feel a deep sense of peace and ease,
Knowing that beautiful,
Amazing things are coming,
And that with this release,
It makes way for all that you want to come in.
Now see your tree growing new,
Beautiful leaves.
Watch as these leaves emerge,
And your tree grows vibrant and green,
Expanding and growing gracefully and effortlessly.
Notice what these new things might be in your life,
What's been waiting to sprout,
To expand,
To grow,
Now that the old has been released,
And you're free to create.
Feel the excitement,
The joy of all this new growth,
All this expansion,
And know that there's nothing you need to do to make it happen,
That just like the tree,
You will expand and grow and create with ease all the new things that will now serve you in this next phase of life.
Now as we come out of this deep meditation,
Let's take three deep breaths emerging a bit lighter,
A bit freer,
And a bit calmer than we were before.
Breathe all the way out,
Breathe in,
And breathe out,
Feeling spacious,
Breathe in,
And breathe out,
Feeling free,
And release,
Feeling excited,
Opening your eyes,
Coming back to the room,
Feeling at peace,
Feeling joyful,
And feeling excited for what's to come in this next season of your beautiful life.
