This is a visualization to turn illness into wellness.
Now research has proven that the mind is very powerful at affecting our bodies,
Our physical
bodies and what we've also seen is that there are layers of the body.
We have the mental body,
The emotional body,
The spiritual body,
All leading into the physical
body and I like to visualize them as almost like overlays over one another and what we
can find is that when we have manifested illness in the physical body sometimes it can be due
to misalignments upstream in the mental body,
Emotional body,
Spiritual body.
So this visualization is going to be fairly simple.
This will work really well for any cold,
Flu,
Typical illnesses but visualization has been
used for cancer patients,
For depression,
For spiritual challenges like feeling separated
from self and it's a very powerful tool but we'll focus today on just healing the physical
body when having a cold or flu.
So take a moment and settle yourself and if you are sick right now then take a moment
and either lay down or find a seated,
Supported position.
Find something that makes you feel at ease.
And once you become planted in your position,
Just start to get present to the energy in
the room.
Notice the temperature of the room,
The light in the room,
Perhaps some textures and as
you close your eyes,
Allow that visual representation to be seen in your mind's eye of the room
that you're in now and just notice how easy it is to visualize,
To see without eyes.
Just take some time familiarizing yourself with the room,
Noticing again the textures,
The light,
The energy and we'll take three breaths,
Just gentle,
Easy breaths.
Breathe in and breathe in and release back out again and breathe in and release back
out one more time.
One thing that we find when we aren't feeling well,
When we're experiencing any kind of
suffering is that often we try to avoid feeling it.
As the Buddha said,
We have an aversion to our suffering.
We want to look away from it,
Numb it,
Make it go away as fast as possible but what we're
going to do right now is we're going to take some time to get intimately connected with
what we're feeling right now.
So just notice what symptoms are showing up and see if you can get curious about the
sensations you're feeling.
Allow your consciousness to go be at these spaces now,
If there's a tickle in the lungs,
A scratchy throat,
Pain in the chest,
Perhaps a headache,
Tingling in the nose.
Just see if you can start to identify without any story,
Any meaning,
Any resistance,
What
it is that you're feeling right now and really notice where you're feeling it.
Notice as you get curious,
If the sensations start to shift or change as we let go of some
of this resistance to the sensations,
Leaning into our illness as if they get acquainted
with it,
As if to be inviting it to a cup of tea with you rather than shoving it out
the door.
Just notice,
Perhaps ask the illness,
The sensations,
Ask the fatigue or pain.
Ask it if it has any messages for you now.
Why has it come to visit you?
What wisdom does it hold that might allow you to align yourself at a higher level moving
forward?
What does the illness want for you?
What is it trying to teach you?
And if no messages come,
That's perfectly fine as well,
But if some did,
Be sure to
thank this illness,
These sensations for their teachings and their guidance.
Now in your mind's eye,
Begin to visualize a school of fish circling at your heart space.
Imagine the school of fish as if each fish is brightly colored,
Perhaps blue,
Red,
Green.
Just imagine these fish as some bright colored fish circling at your heart space and know
that these fish represent your immune system that radiates out from your heart space with
love.
And with a deep breath in,
Allow these fish to be released and watch as they go to wherever
you have the sensations that you're feeling.
And notice and visualize the illness as little specks,
Perhaps black,
Purple specks,
And
just watch as the fish go and eat up all the specks,
Cleansing your body like little
heart-centered piranhas and just allow your conscious mind to rest and direct your fish
wherever you feel symptoms,
Wherever you feel sensation.
Just watch as these fish clear your body of all illness,
Eating every last speck of virus
or bacteria,
And just breathe slowly as you send these fish to wherever you feel sensation.
And as the sensation subsides,
Send them somewhere else.
And we'll take a few minutes for this process.
Just breathing slow and keeping your conscious mind on these fish that are clearing and cleansing
your body of all illness now.
Clearing and cleansing the body of all illness now.
And when you feel that the fish have done their work,
You can send them back to your
heart space with a deep breath in,
Allowing them to circle again at your heart.
And now begin to visualize yourself walking down the street,
Perhaps out in nature,
Along a beach.
Imagine yourself walking somewhere that brings you joy and visualize yourself in peak health.
What does your body look like in peak health?
How do you carry yourself,
Feeling vitality coursing through your bones and your blood?
Notice your radiance,
Your energy.
Notice the inspiration that floods through you.
Visualize yourself in peak health.
And now visualize yourself now walking behind this ideal healthy version of you and begin
to walk faster,
Picking up the speed.
And as you catch up,
Imagine yourself melting into your healthy self,
Embodying into your
healthy self and feeling what it feels like to walk with vitality in peak healthy form.
Feeling healthy,
Energized,
And vibrant.
And know this to be your true form.
Know this to be your true aligned state when your physical,
Mental,
Emotional,
And spiritual
bodies are aligned and flowing through life with ease.
And as you continue to walk as your healthy,
Vital self,
You begin to dissolve into a fine
dust and you flow and fly up into the air,
Finding yourself now,
Allowing all the essence
of that health to find your body now,
Just in the room you're sitting or laying in.
And allow it to come over and dust your body,
Infusing you with the essence of health.
Take three deep breaths in,
Allowing this dust to settle within you,
Being absorbed
into your physical body.
And on the last breath,
Breathe all the way out and all the way in.
Releasing with a big sigh.
And when you're ready,
Slowly move your fingers and toes,
Coming back to this space now.
Coming back into your body now.
Rolling your neck and opening your eyes now.
Feeling refreshed.
Feeling revitalized.
Feeling in peak healthy condition.
Just take a moment to notice how you feel.
Notice what's shifted inside of you.
And know that the seeds of health have been planted within you.
And your healing journey will be expedited greatly the more you practice this visualization.
