This is for those times when you are feeling grumpy or low or sad or just heavy.
So if you're noticing these kind of feelings,
Come into a place where you can sit or maybe lay down.
Maybe you want to close your eyes,
Grab a blanket or a jacket or sweater and pull it around your shoulders.
Just offer yourself some kindness.
If you're laying down,
See if you can put a little something underneath your head or your knees or you can lay over on your side,
Curling up like a baby.
If you're seated,
Make sure your back is supported and you're comfortable and your feet touch the ground.
And then just start to gather yourself.
First,
Noticing the breath as it comes in and as it goes away.
If it's helpful,
You can breathe in through the nose and breathe out through the nose.
You could also breathe into the nose and out through the mouth if you'd like to have a little bit of a sigh.
Sometimes that helps the brain understand that you're safe.
So we could breathe in to the nose,
Let the ribs expand and breathe out through the mouth with a gentle whoosh.
And if that feels good to you,
You could do that a few more times at your own rate,
Going back to it anytime that you need.
So here you are.
You are a beautiful being,
Even if you don't feel good.
You are a deserving being,
Even if you feel depressed.
It's okay to feel heavy.
It's okay to feel sad.
It's okay to be grumpy.
Maybe just note what you feel and where you feel it.
Do you feel grumpiness in your jaw,
Like you're trying to hold back words?
Do you feel heaviness in your heart,
Like your buoyancy is being pushed down from grief?
Or does your whole body maybe feel heavy and just low?
Just feeling into your truth.
What is real for you?
We don't have to change anything.
We're just using this as an opportunity to notice what it is that we're feeling.
Is there anything that this emotion is trying to tell us?
There might be,
There might not be.
Just creating a deeper relationship with yourself as you check in and ask and listen,
Gaining the truth that is yours,
That's already here.
Being aware of what you're feeling,
Feeling it all the way through,
Letting the emotions move through you.
You might find that your body wants to cry,
Or laugh,
Or stretch,
Or wiggle,
Or jump up and down,
And all of these things are fine.
And it's also fine to just lay here,
Or sit here,
Or be here.
With yourself,
With your breath,
With your body,
Maybe telling your mind,
Thank you,
But we don't have to run through all of these things over and over again.
This is time for your body.
This is time for your spirit.
So,
Dear spirit,
Here you are,
Feel the support that is the earth beneath you,
The ground beneath you,
The steadiness of it,
The structure of it.
Feel the density of your bones,
Feel the structure and the foundation of you.
Feel the breath that moves through your body,
Easily coming,
Easily going,
With no work.
Tuning in to your heart,
Your tender,
Tender heart,
Notice the back of your heart,
The back of your body.
Notice anything vulnerable here,
Anything that needs attending to,
And notice the front of your heart,
Anything that's present here.
Maybe balancing the front and back of your heart,
Do they feel,
If it was a teeter-totter,
The same weight,
Or does one feel heavier and one feels lighter?
Just noticing,
Allowing yourself to breathe and be with gentleness,
With compassion for you and for these feelings.
Not trying to get rid of them,
Letting them move when they will of their own accord,
But just in this moment,
Allowing yourself to feel exactly as you are.
Maybe for a moment,
If it would be helpful,
Just imagine yourself here on this earth as if you were being held in the arms of a loved one,
Held and rocked and padded and loved with such sincere,
Sweet,
Gentle caring.
If it's helpful to you to imagine around you loving forces,
Light,
Energy,
Goodness,
Spirit,
God,
Whatever you call it,
Angels,
Loved ones who have passed.
Ask them if you feel comfortable,
Ask them or ask your higher self if there's anything that you could learn from this feeling or this experience that you're having right now.
Is there any truth that's trying to bubble up?
You don't have to work at it,
Just create space for it.
In this space,
At this time,
In this moment,
Here you are.
You are safe.
If it's helpful to you,
You might repeat that to yourself.
I am safe.
I am whole.
Letting that beautiful heart of yours be open to what this experience,
This grumpiness,
The sadness,
This grief might break open within you.
Allowing it,
Allowing it,
Allowing it.
Even when that is painful and irritating,
It's okay.
You will get through this.
Please turn back to that place within your heart that is pure light.
Even if it's just a spark,
Let that light grow brighter and brighter.
Even amid the gloom or the crabby or the grief.
Let that light remind you of how truly magnificent you are.
Let that light comfort you and let the light hold you.
I'm sorry that you're having this sad feeling or grumpy feeling or yucky feeling.
I truly am.
And I know that you can use this to be the very best version of yourself,
Just as I do.
So,
My friend,
Take very good care of yourself.
It might be wise for you to get some extra rest.
Or maybe you need to get some more exercise.
Maybe we need to look at our nourishment.
Maybe you need to have some more water.
Maybe you need to go play with your pets.
Go find a loved one and look into their eyes and tell them how grateful that you are for them.
You are brilliant.
You are good.
You are love.
It's okay to still be grumpy or sad or full of grief.
And it's okay to not.
Whatever you feel,
Just allow it.
You don't have to like it.
Just create a little space for it.
I am wishing you well and ease and so much love.
