Hello and welcome to this Cosmic Bliss Yoganidra meditation.

Yoganidra is a wonderful practice that anyone can do.

In this meditation,

We will slip through the doors of conscious waking state and access the super conscious state.

We will move beyond the chattering of the waking mind into a dreamlike state where we can simply observe how the mind chatters and wanders without judgment or attachment.

We'll welcome a place where we can integrate your memories from the past and enact your desires for the future.

You may even get glimpses into your non-dual nature as we access deeper states of consciousness.

So lie back and enjoy the cosmic bliss that awaits in this Yoganidra meditation.

Make sure you're in a safe space,

Somewhere you feel cozy,

Comfortable,

With no distractions.

Create your nest,

Your cocoon for this practice.

A blanket to keep you warm,

A pillow to allow your head to rest and any other items that will support your well-being during this practice.

Lay yourself down on your back,

Palms facing upwards,

Legs stretched out,

Toes falling out to the side.

Draw your attention to your breath.

As you inhale,

Notice any tension in your body,

This body that has carried you all day long.

Exhale,

Breathe out and release the tension.

With each exhale,

Release the tension in the body,

Allow it to be absorbed by the surface and the earth below you.

Bring loving attention to your body and all the experiences in your body right now.

Your bodies that carry us all day,

Often ignored and forgotten.

Take a moment to check in with the body,

Like saying hello to an old friend.

What has your body been carrying?

What does your body want you to pay attention to?

Allow the body to move into being and now set the intention to remain as physically still as possible throughout the practice.

Then you might begin to drift in and out.

Just allow,

Be open and receive this practice.

And now begin to open your senses one by one.

Feel into the space around you.

Notice the air on your skin or the blanket covering your body and feel into each of your toes.

Welcome any tastes in the mouth.

What fragrances can you smell?

And now welcome sound as if opening your ears.

What sounds can you hear?

The sound of your breathing.

The sounds inside the room.

The sounds outside.

And now your eyes and vision.

What colors or images can you see behind your closed eyelids?

And now allow yourself to be open to receiving every message that arises from the deep mystery of life.

There is no wrong or right way of doing this practice.

Simply allow and be open to the mystery.

And now begin to make your internal world a pleasant,

Welcoming and relaxing space to be in.

Perhaps welcome a memory of something or create your own imaginary place.

Create your own internal sense of well-being,

However that feels for you.

Make it as visceral as possible.

Using all of your senses.

Maybe visualize being surrounded by the people who love and support you.

Or perhaps a place in nature that inspires you.

Take a moment to fully bask in this internal experience of well-being,

Peace and relaxation.

Welcome an intention now for this practice.

An intention you might have brought with you or perhaps to create a new one now.

Maybe it's for deep rest or you're searching for an answer to something.

Or to accept all your feelings and emotions.

I'll give you a moment to set your intention now.

Repeat it in the present tense and repeat it silently in your head three times like a mantra.

And deep inside all of us is a desire.

A heartfelt desire.

Something that drives us.

Maybe a single word such as kindness,

Peace,

Love or health.

Or maybe a calling or a principle.

Drop your attention to your heart space and listen.

What arises up from the heart?

And feel this heartfelt desire as if it were true right now.

Feel it viscerally using all of your senses.

As if all of your bones and cells light up when you know your heartfelt desire is true.

And affirm it with full emotion.

Your emotions are like rocket fuel for this practice.

And let's begin to initiate the body into deep relaxation.

Allowing the body to sink deeper into space.

Feel as if your body almost begins to float in space as you rotate your consciousness to each part.

Draw your attention to the sensations in your mouth.

Sense your entire mouth.

The tongue lights up.

Relax the jaws.

Feel the teeth,

The lips and the space inside the mouth.

Draw your attention up to the left ear,

Right ear.

Feel into the space around the ears and the spiral of the ears.

Sense the nose.

Each nostril receiving and releasing the breath.

Left nostril,

Right nostril.

Now left cheek,

Right cheek.

Soften each of the eyes and eyelids.

Left eye,

Right eye.

Feel the eyelids covering the eyes in soothing darkness.

Sense the hollow sockets that caress and hold the eyes.

And allow the eyes to drop back and relax.

Soften the forehead,

Temples,

Scalp.

Sense the back of the neck,

Throat.

Relax the shoulders,

Shoulder blades.

Feel into the left shoulder,

Left elbow,

Left wrist,

Left palm and each of the left fingers one by one.

And now the entire left arm.

Feel into the right shoulder,

Right elbow,

Right wrist,

Right palm and each of the right fingers one by one.

To the entire right arm.

And now both arms,

Fully relaxed and spacious.

Bring your attention to the chest,

Ribs,

Upper back,

Spine,

Abdomen.

Feel your abdomen and chest as you breathe,

Allowing everything to arise and fall just as it is.

Bring your attention to your left hip,

Left thigh,

Left knee,

Back of the knee,

Left ankle,

Left heel,

Left top of the foot,

Sole of the foot and each of the left toes one by one.

And now the entire left leg.

Draw your attention to the right hip,

Right thigh,

Right knee,

Back of the knee,

Right ankle,

Right heel,

Right top of the foot,

Sole of the foot and each of the right toes one by one.

And now the entire right leg.

Now feel into the spaciousness of both legs,

The legs fully relaxed and spacious.

Allow your attention to wander throughout your entire body,

Front of the body,

Back of the body,

Left side,

Right side,

Inside and outside.

And feel into the space feeling of the body.

The body is open,

Spacious.

Allow every sensation to come to your awareness.

As we journey beyond the physical body,

Thoughts might be present,

Images might be present.

But notice how you no longer feel attached to them.

You're simply a witness of everything.

How your sense of I,

Me,

Mine has been replaced with a simple awareness,

Like watching a screen.

Sense all that you're aware of.

Notice how everything is constantly changing,

Coming and going,

Not thinking.

Awareness just is,

Always present,

Simply in the background,

Like the dark sky is the background to the stars at night.

Notice how your body is being breathed,

How you're being breathed.

No need to think or do anything,

Just the gentle inhalation and exhalation as you breathe.

Like the ebb and flow of the waves,

The breath rises,

The breath falls.

The body functions by itself.

Let go of your thinking mind and notice the space.

What's present when we just witness what's happening.

Before labeling anything,

Just notice.

Notice the body being breathed.

It's automatic.

Your whole body is breathing.

Breathing just happens.

And notice what's present now.

Perhaps my voice is distant.

As you begin to release your attention from the physical world to your inner world,

Awakening to who you are,

The truest version of you,

Fully accepting of all of your feelings and emotions.

The good and the bad.

Every feeling and emotion is here to guide you.

And only by fully feeling our emotions do they soften and diffuse into invisible wisdom to guide you on your journey.

All you need is your awareness.

Just like the sun shines on the good and the bad,

Awareness shines on the good and the bad.

Notice how each emotion arrives.

Welcome each one into your experience.

Be it comes with a soft or a loud knock,

Without grasping or clinging.

Use this time to explore.

Inquire into what's happening,

Fully embracing and embodying the felt sense of each emotion that arrives right here.

This is your practice.

Your time.

Your safe space.

The mind is quiet.

Your nervous system is relaxed.

This is your opportunity to evolve.

To grow.

To transform what no longer serves you.

Release it out into the abyss of space.

Now draw your attention to the internal voice in your head.

All of this mental chatter.

Without being drawn into it,

Allow it to be here.

Without making any judgments.

And notice this ability to take a step back.

Allowing it to be here without becoming engaged with it.

You are simply the observer of this voice.

It might have stories or beliefs.

I am not enough.

I should be different.

I should have done it differently.

What is this thought costing you if you hold onto it?

Is there a reason to hold onto this thought,

Story or belief?

When we observe from this space of awareness,

We can let go of our self-critical judgments.

Our toxic inner voice.

They subside into the abyss as we no longer react adding fuel to the fire.

We simply let go.

This no longer serves me.

Notice what's present now and feel the body light.

Spacious.

As if it's released the heavy burden of the physical world.

The weight of our aches and pains.

And our feelings and emotions.

Our thoughts and beliefs.

Let them all go.

You are now this Onironaut.

The one who travels through dreams.

Begin to expand your attention outside your body.

Moving from the heart.

As if your heart space is expanding to hold more love.

More kindness.

More gratitude.

Feel into the infinite capacity of the heart to hold the loved ones in your life.

Your family.

Your friends.

Your furry friends and pets.

And you might visualize this or you might feel this.

Or you might even sense a color or feel tingling sensations or vibrations in the body or heart space.

Keep expanding the heart to include more and more people.

Your colleagues.

Your community.

And the people who support you in your life.

Farmers.

Bus drivers.

Doctors.

And allow the heart to expand across the land.

Oceans.

Forests.

Sky.

And feel your heart expand to the edges of the planet.

This earth that supports our existence.

And now begin to expand across the solar system.

Meeting each planet.

Mercury.

Venus.

Mars.

Jupiter.

Saturn.

Uranus.

Neptune.

Pluto.

And now the sun.

Each planet dancing around the sun in perfect harmony with our own.

Feel into the smallness of your physical body and physical heart.

But the capacity of the energetic heart to hold so much more than its size.

Feel into the center of the heart and the expansive nature of the heart into cosmic bliss.

Anandamaya Kosha.

The cosmic bliss body in Sanskrit.

Our destination as this Onironaut of our dreams.

We are not two but one.

Welcome the state of unconditional love.

Pure kindness.

Peace.

Joy.

This very core of our being that sits with us all day long.

We just need to be quiet enough to feel it.

As we peel away the layers of our being,

We discover who we are.

An undisturbed piece of pure,

Perfected cosmic bliss.

Striving cannot get us there.

Only being still can.

Notice this ocean of pure awareness.

You are not just your physical body of blood,

Bones,

Heart and brain.

You are not your emotions.

You are not your thoughts.

You are not your mind.

You are much more than that.

You are also this divine being.

A being capable of radiating total joy,

Happiness,

Self-compassion and self-forgiveness.

Remember this experience.

This feeling when you need it most.

When you are afraid,

Angry,

Lonely.

Remember this experience of cosmic bliss.

And welcome again your heartfelt desire.

Feel into it and the aliveness of it at this moment.

As if your dream world and real world are merged into one.
