Feeling creatively blocked? Doubting your voice? Wondering if your stories even matter? This meditation is for new and emerging storytellers who want to return to what's true and make space for their voices again. Whatever your goals, this practice will help you reset, recharge, and step into your identity as an artist. Prompt: The Thing I Keep Watering Down 1 Make a list of 5–10 things you keep softening or avoiding in your writing. One line each. Fast. No editing. (3 mins) 2 Circle the one that has the most charge and makes your body react a little. (1 min) 3 Write the safe, polite version of that story. Let it be vague and sound nice. Stop when time is up. (4 mins) 4 Write the truest version you can. Say what you're really feeling. Include at least one detail you left out. Use words you would with a friend. (5 mins) 5 What felt different in your body between versions 1 and 2? Where did you feel a bit more courage? (2 mins) What did you learn about yourself in this exercise?
