Good morning,
And welcome to the Artist Morning Writers Club.
This is a short guided meditation made specifically for new and emerging writers.
Let's begin our practice.
If your eyes are open,
I'd like to invite you to gently close them now as we begin to breathe inwards together,
Beginning to take deeper,
Longer breaths,
Imagining new creative energy is entering your system,
Your body,
Your being.
With each inhale,
New creative energy,
Refreshing,
Recharging,
Resetting.
With each exhale,
With ease,
Really simply just letting go of old energy that you no longer need.
Stagnant energy,
Dense energy,
Limiting energy,
We're letting it go with our exhales.
And I want to encourage you to make a little noise with your exhale.
You,
Dear one,
Are a storyteller.
You are a creator.
Dear you are an artist,
And practicing,
Giving your voice space is a worthy endeavor,
Even within a meditation.
So let's do this together.
Deep breath in,
Hold at the top of your inhale,
Big exhale out with some noise,
Your voice is welcome here.
Your voice is safe here.
Your voice is needed here.
Take a moment to receive that message.
Your voice is needed here.
Maybe there's a part of you that has always known that to be true.
Maybe there's a part of you that is very resistant to that notion,
And that's okay too.
That is the artist's journey to work with all of the energy.
Let's take another deep inhale together here,
Breathing in,
Hold at the top,
And this time take two more sips of breath.
Continue holding,
Big exhale out.
Take a moment to notice if anything feels different here.
Maybe it does,
Maybe it doesn't,
Maybe it's subtle,
Maybe it's not.
Slowing everything down.
Our minds are so curious,
So active,
Just going to slow things down for a moment.
Just give yourself a chance to arrive here,
Now,
Here,
Now.
This is our last song this morning,
And I'm just going to leave some space for you to arrive home,
Back to your center,
Back to your heart.
Bravo to your artist,
Bravo to your writers,
You made it to the end of this meditation,
Which means we carved out some time to come back to ourselves,
Back to our center,
Back to our voice,
Back to our stories.
For those joining us live at the artist morning,
I'm going to share a writing exercise and put 66 minutes on the clock and allow us to dive into this writer self and see and hear and witness the stories that exist inside us.
Thank you once again for meditating with me.
My name is Darius,
And I will see you next time.
