
You Matter (Self Love Meditation / Affirmations)
In this self-love meditation, we practice noticing and accepting. Your only task is to stay open, as I share some self-acceptance affirmations with you. Notice which ones you gravitate towards and which ones you resist and push away. It's all helpful information... Your whole self matters.

Good morning and welcome to the artist's morning.
My name is Darius and Wherever you are in the world.
I am grateful.
We are here now Together if you've been meditating with me for a while,
You know,
I love Approaching meditation as an experiment as a curious exploration You'll know that for me meditation isn't about feeling better,
But getting better at feelings And today's practice we will intentionally Bring up certain feelings certain emotions and if you are open to it The invitation is not to take in those Feelings But rather to just notice which you gravitate towards which You resist and push away from?
We'll explore these through statements through affirmations that I will share on your behalf and Your task if you are open to it is simply to stay open and notice What happens to your heart what happens to your mind what happens to your being a Gentle reminder as with all my meditations.
There's no right or wrong way of doing them you can always come back and do them on a different day and see what comes up and You don't need to push yourself and force yourself in you can go nice and slow Let's begin if your eyes are Open let's close them now as we begin to go inwards together Connecting with your breath using the breath to bring you closer to your heart Taking slow intentional breaths and following the breath from the tips of your lips your nostrils down your throat down your lungs Into your heart space I'm going to begin with the statements the affirmations and remember your task here is Simply to notice what comes up for you Particularly at the edges where you feel very excited or you feel very resistant one more deep breath before I start with the affirmations breathing in and Letting it go with the noise Your voice Matters your Story matters your pain matters your pleasure matters your Expression matters your fears matter your dreams matter Are you?
Willing to speak up for yourself and to stand in your truth Take a moment in the silence between songs To notice what's happening inside you maybe There is excitement or activation Maybe There is a trigger or Resistance or repulsion Maybe There is a numbness Unconscious numbing or distracting from an experience or a feeling We're gonna go in for round two I'm gonna say different statements again just notice which impact you your voice Matters Your anger Matters Your rage Matters Your laughter Matters your Sexuality matters the color of your skin matters your age matters your finances matter your Love matters your joy matters You dear artists?
Matter All of you all your parts all of you all your parts all your parts Bravo dear artist.
I Imagine there's a good chance that was not easy There is a lot I brought to the table different parts of the human experience And for many of us we consciously or unconsciously choose to hide certain parts of our Experience and I get it.
I do it myself Today's practice today's invitation was in a safe space to bring Those parts into the Sun to practice Building our capacity for all of our parts Because I said a lot up to this point with this last song I simply want to stay quiet and Just let you Feel there's no right or wrong way of feeling wherever you want to go.
I trust You and your heart know what's best for you Let's take one deep breath together here and bring our meditation to an end breathing in Letting it go Thank you brave soul for going on this journey with me this morning Maybe it was easy for you Possibly it was challenging For those joining us live at the artist's morning I'm gonna put 20 minutes on the clock and let us continue the journey Maybe there is one statement that has energized you if you're open to it take that statement and Explore through your journal For those joining on the replay perhaps on insight timer Of course,

Darius, Your approach to meditation is so powerful and genius. As a child, I was not allowed to feel my feelings. As an adult, Iβm needing to learn how to feel them in a safe and healthy way. This particular meditation has been so helpful. Thank you so very much!

Thank you Darius! I didnβt know what to expect and found it interesting that Iβd been resisting the perceived negative parts of me like anger, rage, etc. I found other parts come up that I also resist, like stress and anxiety. It was comforting and calming for me to embrace those parts just as I do all of my positive attributes. That alone created such a feeling of love fore my whole self. All my parts π₯°ππ»β¨

That was powerful & empowering, Darious β£οΈ Interesting how I moved through emotional states with each group of affirmations: first, agitation & sadness; then curiously in the middle section, a steel strength (like the previous disturbance settled & came together into a strong form); finally beyond calm, a deep stillness in mind & body & spirit. π Thank you for the gift of this meditation to start off my day well & release what was frustrating me. ππ»π·πΈπ

Thanks for being here with us and for us. Better in feeling my feelings. It was a long way for me to feel my feelings...all of them...there are moments where i wish to feel less but then i relax back into the feeling embracing it and knowing it will pass.
