Good morning and welcome to the Artist Morning Writers Club.

These are guided meditations made specifically for new and emerging writers.

I'm so grateful that you and I get this time together.

Let's take a nice deep breath in and begin our practice today.

Deep breath in,

Hold at the top of your breath,

Big exhale out.

Give yourself a moment to arrive,

To really land here and now.

As a writer,

As a creator,

One of the most powerful elements available to you is your presence,

Your deep grounded presence,

Your awareness,

Your focus,

All of that starts here,

Now.

As a writer,

I know you have a curious mind,

An intelligent,

Smart mind.

And in this moment,

We are going to move from our mind into our hearts,

From our minds into our hearts.

Breathing into your heart space now,

Allowing a gentle softness to fall upon your head,

Your forehead,

Your jaw,

Your neck.

Gentle,

Slow,

Soft,

Energizing our hearts and allowing our heart and our mind to connect.

Taking deep breaths,

Connecting your heart and your mind.

Our heart is where our feelings,

Our emotions,

Our ability to approach the world with a sensitivity.

As writers,

Being sensitive and aware is a superpower,

Especially when we are able to ground our energy,

Ground our energy,

Connecting our energy centers,

Our hearts,

Our mind.

Today,

Dear artist,

Is a new day,

A new canvas,

A fresh new page.

We let go of the past,

Of what was,

And we step in to this new day,

This new page,

This new canvas with the deepest awareness,

The deepest grounding we have available to us.

Letting go of expectations,

Letting go of things that worked in the past,

Letting go of things that didn't work in the past.

Fresh,

New,

Light,

Open.

Continue taking deep breaths,

Allowing new energy to pour into you from the universe,

New creative energy,

Joyful energy,

Excited energy.

Letting go of any limiting beliefs that do not serve you.

The new energy comes in,

We breathe it in,

Let's breathe it in together.

Old stagnant energy goes out with our exhales.

Ah,

Our channels are open,

Our heart is open,

Our mind is open.

Our voice is open,

Our vision is open.

Can you feel it in yourselves,

That creative energy working through you?

What a blessing to be here today,

To have an opportunity to say something,

To write something.

Not everyone gets this opportunity,

Dear artist,

But you and I and us together today,

We do.

Not everyone gets this day,

But we do and we get to decide what we want to do with it,

What we want to create with it,

How we want to show up with this new day.

Let's take a nice deep breath here together,

Closing our practice,

Breathing in,

Big exhale out.

And for those that are joining live at the Artist Morning Writers Club,

I'm going to share a writing prompt and put 75 minutes on the clock and give us some space and structure to allow our creativity to flow,

To allow the words to flow,

And to allow that writer self inside of us to shine.

Thank you for joining me for this meditation.

My name is Darius and I will see you next time.

Meet your Teacher

Even though I’m not a writer by telling my story with words, I found this perfect inspiration for which I’m finding my story coming out through watercolor. I was just curious because your meditations are always so heartwarming to me I just wanted to list. But instead what a delightful feeling I got for my next picture. Such an unexpected and wonderful moment. Thanks my friend. šŸ’•šŸ™šŸ»
