And welcome to the artist morning.
My name is Darius and I am so grateful that you and I get this time together.
Let's begin our practice.
If your eyes are open,
I'd like to invite you to gently close them now.
As we begin to go inwards together,
Going nice and slow,
Bringing your awareness to your breath,
Follow it as you breathe in and out,
In and out,
Allowing your body to gently slow down.
There's any tension in your shoulders,
You know,
Let that tension just melt away.
Any tension in your forehead,
In your face,
In your jaw,
We're going to let that tension just melt away.
And if you'd like to bring more calm,
Grounded energy into your body,
It's really simple.
You're just going to take deeper breaths,
Longer on the inhale,
Nice exhale,
Perhaps with some noise.
And if you notice any tension,
Wherever it might be in your body,
We're just going to breathe into those places,
Send love into those places and let it all melt away.
There's nothing you need to do here.
There's no way you need to show up,
No way you need to be here.
And if your mind starts to wander,
That's okay.
That's what creative minds do sometimes.
We're going to practice allowing our minds to look at,
To explore,
To feel,
Whatever they'd like,
We're just going to observe the feelings,
The thoughts,
The sensation.
I know we don't know each other,
Or maybe we do,
But knowing the internet,
Knowing how these meditations work,
There's a good chance we've never met in real life.
And yet somehow I know,
I know something about you.
I know that you have a big,
Beautiful heart,
And that you care.
Even if you guard your heart,
Even if you deny it,
I know you care.
You care about people,
You care about kindness,
And you're doing the best you can.
And so I just want to tell you,
From my heart to yours,
Good job,
Bravo,
Dear artist.
Whatever you've been through,
Whatever you're going through,
Thank you.
Whatever you've been through,
Whatever you're going through,
Thank you.
Whatever you've been through,
Whatever you're going through,
Thank you.
Now maybe it's strange to be meditating with someone you've never met yet in real life,
Who's thanking you,
Who's appreciating you.
And if that's the case,
Then let's be strange.
Let's do things a little different.
My heart is full of love and appreciation.
And if you are interested in some love and appreciation,
It's here.
Not just from me,
From many sources,
I am sure.
And so for this next song,
I want to stay mostly quiet and presence the possibility that right here,
Right now,
There is love and appreciation for you,
No matter who you are.
And what you've done and where you've been.
Are you open to receiving this love and appreciation?
If so,
All you have to do,
Slow down,
Take a deep breath.
And receive as much as you'd like.
It's a curious exploration.
Am I open to receiving love and appreciation?
Do I have any caps,
Any upper limits to how much love and appreciation I am willing to receive?
And if so,
Why am I limiting myself?
There's no right or wrong answer.
The question,
The exploration is a worthy one in itself.
This is our last song.
If you'd like,
Continue exploring,
Dear artist.
You might be surprised what you find.
And to bring our practice to an end,
Let's take a nice deep breath here together.
Breathing in and letting it go.
Thank you for going on this journey with me.
Thank you for allowing me to send you love and appreciation.
Thank you for thinking about these questions.
Whether you felt receptive to this exploration today or not.
I'm so grateful we get to ask these questions and feel these feelings together.
For those that are joining us live at the artist morning,
I'm going to put 20 minutes on the clock.
Share a journaling prompt and allow us to continue this exploration.
Of course,
If you're catching us on a replay,
Perhaps on inside timer,
You can do the same.
Thank you once again.
My name is Darius and I'll see you next time.
