Good morning and welcome to the Artist's Morning.
My name is Darius and I'm truly so grateful that you and I get this time together.
Wherever you are in the world,
Whatever time it is in the world,
We are here now.
Today's meditation will be on the theme of service.
Today's practice is intended to bring us back to our hearts and perhaps to the bigger picture.
It can be easy to fall into the comparison trap.
It can be easy to be hard on ourselves.
We live in a world where numbers and metrics are everywhere.
Today we will let go of numbers,
Let go of comparison,
And come back to our hearts.
If you're new here at the Artist's Morning,
It's very important to know that you can't get this meditation wrong.
There is nothing serious happening here.
We are playing together.
You get to decide how much you want to lean into my invitations or resist or even just stand still.
Let's begin our meditation this morning.
If your eyes are still open,
I want to invite you to close them now as we begin to go inwards together.
Take a nice juicy breath.
Let's just slow everything down.
Give ourselves a moment to land in our seats.
Land in this brand new day.
There's a good chance that you and I have never met in real life.
But yet,
I know something about you.
I can feel it.
You,
Dear artist,
Have a big heart.
A big,
Caring,
Loving,
Sensitive heart.
Take a moment to notice how that statement lands for you.
How it impacts your heart.
I have this sense that you care deeply.
You care about the people around you.
You care about your family and friends.
Perhaps you care about what they think of you.
There's nothing wrong with this.
And maybe your heart is guarded.
Maybe there's a fortress between these statements in your heart right now and resistance is strong.
And usually,
If there's a fortress protecting you from the world,
It's because there's a big,
Sensitive,
Loving heart in there.
I see you.
I feel you.
And even if I've never met you before,
I love you.
Let's take a deep breath here together.
Breathing in now.
And just letting it all go.
One more deep breath.
Ahhhhhhh.
How is your heart this morning?
How is your heart this morning?
How is your heart this morning?
If you are an artist,
If you are a creator,
An entrepreneur,
If you are a human that at some point is interested in having connection and relationships with other humans,
You're going to need to share your heart,
Your truth,
Your ideas,
Your voice with the world.
And there are no guarantees that people will listen,
That people will care,
That people will show up.
It's just not how this world works.
And it can be scary for our hearts to be honest,
To be expressed,
To put some sort of offer into the world.
And to come face to face with somebody saying no,
No thank you,
I'm not interested.
And my belief is,
Whoever shows up is who was meant to be here.
Whoever says yes to my voice,
To my offers,
Is who I was meant to serve.
And I will serve them with all of my heart.
Whoever says yes,
Whoever resonates with your voice,
With your ideas,
With your love,
Is who you were meant to serve.
Is who you were meant to help,
Support,
And love.
No matter how many,
No matter how often,
No matter how long it takes.
Let's take a deep breath here before we go into our last song.
With this last song,
I'm going to share a few affirmations.
And if they resonate,
Take them for a spin,
Lean into them,
Open your heart to them.
And if they don't,
Just let them float away.
Remember,
We are just playing here.
Take a nice deep breath.
Dear universe,
Thank you for this opportunity to be alive,
To be here,
Now.
Thank you for each new day,
Each new canvas,
An opportunity for me to create something with my life.
Thank you for the courage to go deep into my heart and find my truth.
Dear universe,
I ask you to use me as an expression of your divine voice.
To use me as an instrument of love.
Whoever shows up,
No matter the number,
I will serve them with all of my heart.
Whoever is able to hear my voice,
I will serve them with all of my heart.
I let go of expectations and any attachment to outcome.
And in its place,
I open my heart to the magic of now.
I open my heart to the magic of now.
Take a moment here to land.
And notice if you can feel any tingling,
Any energy in your body,
In your heart.
The magic of now lives inside all of us,
Always.
Let's take another deep breath.
Bravo,
Dear artist,
Bravo,
Dear creator,
Wherever you went,
Whatever you felt or did not feel,
We made it together to the end of another meditation.
For that,
I am so grateful.
For those of you joining us live at the Artist's Morning,
I'm going to put 20 minutes on the clock and invite us all in to some personal,
Private journaling.
If you're catching us on a replay on Insight Timer,
Of course you could do the same.
Thank you for meditating with me.
My name is Darius and I will see you next time.
