In this meditation, we practice how to stop overthinking and pull back energy that's being wasted. We've all experienced conflict that leaves us depleted. This practice will help you reconnect with yourself and return to your center. Optional journaling prompts: - Is there a place, or a conversation, where you’re pouring energy that’s quietly draining you? - Is it time to close that loop and let it go? - Is there something left unsaid? Use your Morning Pages today to write from your heart. Be honest. Don’t edit. Let the truth move through you. Begin here: Dear ________, I want to share something with you… Important Note: There’s a way to have this conversation that frees your energy. And there’s a way to have it that depletes you further. This isn't about changing someone else. It’s about reclaiming your power and bringing your energy home. Ask yourself: What would it take to close this loop and return to your own center?

Good morning,

And welcome to The Artist's Morning.

My name's Darius,

And I'm so grateful that you and I get this time together.

Our practice today is intended to help you pull back any energy that is currently being placed or perhaps being wasted,

Replaying conversations,

Reimagining what's already happened.

And all of us at some point have some sort of conflict,

Some sort of interaction that leaves us depleted,

That has us overthinking.

And today's practice is intended to help you pull that energy back.

Come back to yourself,

Come back to your center.

Let's begin.

If your eyes are open,

I'd like to invite you to close them now.

As we begin to go inwards together,

Give yourself a moment to land in your seat,

In your breath,

Feeling your feet beneath you,

Feeling the points in which your feet may contact with the ground,

Noticing how stable and consistent the ground is beneath you,

Bringing conscious awareness to our breath.

It will be helpful for our practice today if we can take deep breaths,

Bringing new fresh energy into our system,

Letting old stagnant energy out with our exhales.

Do your best to continue taking deep,

Long breaths.

When we breathe deeply,

We move the energy that's often stuck in our headspace.

We consciously bring that energy down our throat,

Our lungs,

Our belly,

Down into our heart space.

And if you are spending a lot of time thinking or overthinking something that may have happened already or might happen in the future,

Your jaw will be tighter.

So we want to bring a gentle softness to our foreheads first,

Softening your forehead,

Softening your jaw,

Allowing there to be an opening in your jaw,

Just a gentle softness.

It's helpful sometimes to take a deep breath.

I'll do it with you,

Breathing in,

Opening your jaw,

Making some noise,

Just letting that old energy out.

And if we hold a lot of tension in our heads,

By softening our necks,

The muscles that hold our head,

The muscles that hold the place in which we do all this thinking,

That can really help too.

So let's soften our necks,

Your bracing,

If you're holding,

If you're carrying,

Just drop your shoulders.

And if there's something you are holding and you don't need to be holding it,

I want to invite you now to let it go.

If there is something you are holding and you do not need to be holding it,

I want to invite you now to let it go.

Continue taking deep breath,

Softening your forehead,

Softening your eyes,

Your jaw,

Your neck,

Your shoulders,

Making sure your voice has space here.

Using our exhales to make some noise,

Letting our voices know they are safe here,

They are needed here,

They can take up space here.

New,

Fresh energy in with your inhale,

Big inhale,

Old,

Stagnant,

Unneeded energy out with your exhale.

We are cleaning and clearing our system.

Whatever happened has already happened,

There is no going back,

That's not how life works.

New energy in through your inhale,

Getting taller,

Gently taller,

Heart opening,

Forehead,

Jaw,

Neck softening.

This here is a brand new moment.

This here is a brand new canvas.

The past is the past,

Unless of course you choose to relive it in this moment over and over again.

How do you want to use your presence?

How do you want to use your creative energy?

How do you want to use your power?

I am here now.

Feel your feet beneath you.

Tall but gentle spine,

Heart open,

Voice open,

New energy coming in,

Old unwanted energy going out.

Connecting with your heart now.

Connecting with your heart now.

All your feelings,

They are valid,

They matter.

Whatever happened,

It's already happened,

Whatever came up,

It's okay.

Allowing your heart to take up space here.

Allowing your heart to feel safe in your presence.

In your groundedness.

In your patience.

Deep breath here,

Breathing in.

Big exhale out.

This is a brand new moment.

This is a brand new canvas.

You get to choose what you bring in,

What you fill this canvas with.

Whatever happened in the past is in the past.

If there's something you want to do about it,

If there's something you need to say,

You get to say that,

You get to do that.

If you'd like,

And if it's time to let it go,

So that you can bring your energy back to yourself,

That is also available to you.

If there is something you are holding,

If there is something you are carrying,

And you are ready to let it go,

You can let it go.

This is our last song this morning.

I'm going to leave a lot of open space for you and your incredible heart to connect.

If you're open to it,

For you and your incredible heart to find ways to support each other,

To hear each other,

To be patient and compassionate with each other.

Is there something your heart wants you to know?

Is there something you want your heart to know?

And let's take a deep breath to bring our practice to an end today.

Breathing in and letting it go.

Thank you,

Dear artist.

Thank you,

Dear creator,

For making it to the end of another meditation.

I'm so grateful to have this time together.

For those that are joining us live at the artist morning,

I'm going to put 20 minutes on the clock and share a journaling prompt to allow us to continue this exploration together.

Thank you once again for meditating with me.

My name is Darius,

And I will see you next time.

Dear Darius, As I didn’t meditate for some days, maybe weeks I was happy this caught my eye.. I’m the queen of overthinking ;-) Glad you always seem to have the ability to calm my mind and make me feel better about things that are on my mind. It’s okay. We are loved ❤️ Feelings can be overwhelming especially when you think you are alone in this. I will try to let go one thing today and then do this meditation again regularly to keep stopping to overthink ! Have a great day and thanks again for your soothing voice and calming music. 🌺☀️
