Good morning,
And welcome to the Artist Morning Writers Club.
This is a short guided meditation made specifically for new and emerging writers.
Our theme today is building,
Cultivating,
Connecting with courage.
If your eyes are open,
I want to invite you to close them now as we begin to go inwards together,
Nice and slow,
Taking deep breaths,
Allowing new energy in with your inhales,
Fresh recharging energy in,
And gently letting go of any stagnant old energy that we no longer need with our exhales,
Softening your forehead,
Softening your jaw,
Your neck.
If you are a writer,
If you are an artist,
I already know you spend a lot of time in your head,
Your creative,
Curious,
Active mind.
So with this short practice,
We're going to bring that energy from our mind down into our heart space.
Wherever you are in your writing journey,
Courage,
Confidence,
Belief in ourselves,
Will be so helpful,
Especially if you are getting started,
Finding ways to access courage to help us stay focused and help us continue sharing our writing in those early days when maybe there's not a lot of people reading and paying attention.
That's just the process.
That's the journey.
The opportunity is for us to let go of external validation and expectations and come back to something pure and true inside our hearts.
Something pure and true inside your heart.
We can't control what the world does with our stories.
We let go of that.
Let go of external expectations and reactions and validations.
We come back inwards.
Your creative spirit.
There's something your creative spirit wants you to know.
There are stories that you are meant to share.
Sometimes they are scary.
The process of going into the depths of our hearts and finding our truth can be a scary experience sometimes.
And you,
Dear artist,
Are stronger than even you might believe.
You are stronger than you might realize.
There is courage in your cells.
There is courage in the air.
The earth will give you courage.
The wind will give you courage.
The trees,
The birds,
The sun will give you courage.
This is our last song this morning,
Dear artist.
I'm going to stay quiet and allow you to pull and harvest and connect with courage all around you.
Breathe it in.
Feel the energy of the experience of being in your courageous self.
Bravo,
Dear artist.
Bravo,
Dear writer.
You made it to the end of another meditation,
And for that I am so grateful.
Hopefully you were able to access and activate some more courage that's inside you,
That's all around you.
And maybe you were able to remember that the universe is around you and supporting you in ways beyond our understanding even.
For those that are joining us live at the Writers Club,
I'm going to put 66 minutes on the clock,
Share a writing exercise,
And allow us to dive in to our writing this morning.
Thank you for meditating with me.
My name is Darius,
And I will see you next time.
