In this meditation, we return to the present moment, let go of the past, and begin anew. I'll take you through a guided visualization to begin again (with a beautiful, clean whiteboard), so you can choose where you place your energy, care, and attention today. This is your permission to let go and begin again. Optional journaling prompts: Is there a known energy leak in your life? A platform, app, or activity that quietly drains you— not all at once, but little by little. What would shift if you gave yourself a break from it? Even for a week? Even for a day? What new energy, clarity, or joy might rush in to fill the space it once occupied?

Good morning,

And welcome to The Artist's Warning.

My name is Darius,

And I am so grateful that you and I get this time together.

Our practice today is intended to help you come back to this moment,

To help you let go of what was,

And to allow you and I to begin again.

If your eyes are open,

I'd like to invite you to close them now,

As we begin to go inwards together,

Taking longer,

Deeper breaths,

Breathing into the bottom of your belly,

And if you're open to it,

Making a little bit of noise on our exhales,

Signaling to our mind,

Body,

And spirit that we are safe here,

We are allowed to take up space here,

We are allowed to share our voice here.

Nice and slow,

Let's take a deep breath in together,

Breathing in,

Hold at the top of your inhale,

Big exhale out with some noise.

We are safe here,

We are safe here,

We are allowed to go slow here,

If your mind is wandering,

That's okay,

That's what creative minds do sometimes.

We are going to practice allowing our mind to wander,

Watching our thoughts,

Placing our gentle attention on our breath,

Coming back to the breath,

Back to our bodies.

Allowing a gentle softness to work its way from the top of your head down,

Softening your forehead,

Your eyes,

Your jaw,

Your mouth,

So gentle and soft,

So soothing.

Allowing that softness to work its way down your neck and shoulders,

Melting away any tension in your shoulders,

Working its way down your arms,

Your hands,

Your fingers,

Down your back.

If you pay close attention as it works its way down your back,

It almost feels like a gentle warm hug from someone you love,

Breathing that energy in.

Allowing that softness to work its way down your neck and shoulders,

Melting away any tension in your shoulders,

Breathing that energy in.

Your ankles,

The tops of your feet,

Bottoms of your feet,

We are here now,

We are here now,

We are here.

Nice deep breath here,

Big exhale,

And with your permission I will guide us through our visualization today,

It's one I use often,

It's simple yet very powerful.

I want you to imagine in front of you there is a whiteboard,

And on this whiteboard there are a lot of words,

A lot of thoughts,

A lot of scribbles.

Most of us are exposed to a tremendous amount of stimulus every single day,

And just take a moment to see the energy,

The intensity of all these thoughts in front of you.

You might feel uncomfortable,

Just sit with that discomfort for a moment,

And now I want to bring your attention to this whiteboard eraser that is in your right hand.

Looking down,

Feeling it,

It's crisp,

It's new,

And you just know that this whiteboard eraser that is in your right hand was built for this moment.

And if you would like a fresh start,

If you would like to clear and cleanse the palette,

The canvas that is your mind,

If you would like to begin again,

Well,

You do.

You know exactly what you need to do.

If you are open to it,

If you are ready,

Take two steps forward and begin clearing,

Begin letting go of yesterday and what was,

And the news,

And your inbox,

And all of the things.

Clearing and cleansing,

And beginning again.

Watching as you clear and clean every corner of this whiteboard,

How crisp and fresh the board is behind all the writing,

All the words,

All the thoughts.

Whatever you did yesterday,

Whatever you watched,

Whatever you read,

Whatever your inbox looked like,

Whatever conversations you had,

That is the past,

And we are here now.

We are clearing,

We are cleansing,

We are resetting.

We are clearing,

We are cleansing,

We are resetting.

In front of you,

Dear artist,

Is a beautiful,

Clean whiteboard.

Just take a moment to feel the simplicity,

Allowing our nervous systems to reset,

Allowing our minds to reset,

Allowing our hearts an opportunity to reset.

This whiteboard will not stay clear forever.

That's not the point.

It's wonderful to have things on our whiteboard,

To have things on our mind,

And it's great to do that intentionally.

From this clear,

Cleansed,

Reset of a whiteboard,

You get to choose where you place your energy.

You get to choose where you place your care and attention.

Tomorrow,

Your whiteboard might look exactly the same as it did today.

If you watched all the same things,

If you read all the same things,

If you chose to place your attention and care in the same manner as you did yesterday.

And tomorrow,

Your whiteboard might look and feel completely different because today,

Right now,

Right here,

We are starting fresh.

Today,

Right now,

Right here,

We are starting fresh.

Cleansing,

Letting go,

Beginning again.

Clearing,

Cleansing,

Letting go,

Beginning again.

You,

Dear artist,

Have full permission to let go.

You have full permission to begin again.

This is our last song this morning.

I'm going to sit back and stay quiet and allow you to imagine what could be possible today with this fresh,

New start.

Bravo,

Dear artist.

Bravo,

Dear creator.

You made it to the end of our meditation,

And for that,

I am so grateful.

For those that are catching us live at The Artist Morning,

I'm going to share a journaling prompt and allow us to continue this exploration today.

And of course,

If you're catching us on a replay,

Perhaps on Insight Timer,

You can do the same.

Thank you once again for meditating with me.

My name is Darius,

And I'll see you next time.

thanks darius. as you talked about the whiteboard, a different image came up for me. It was dozens of TV screens with all the images of people, situations, conversations, etc. And one by one I raised the remote to each TV and turned it off. turning them all off. Thanks for the inspiration.

Beautiful!!! There was such a release and calming in my shoulders and worked it way down my body. Amazing when you let go of all the gumble and stuff that just doesn’t matter how freeing you can feel! I love that clean white board. Something that should be cleaned way more often. I’m ready to start my day fresh. Thanks my friend! I hope life is good for you! 💕🙏🏻
